20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

I am still in no mans land and I am beyond fed up and have come for a moan. Fed up of spotting. DH is calm which is great, but then it makes me feel like I am being a madwoman because I am worrying.

Can't tell anyone at work - I haven't been here that long and the only person I've had a chance to bond with is my boss (I can't bring myself to tell her yet for a host of reasons 1. I'm sick of having to present my news as bad news which I am doing while I'm bleeding 2. She has a stressful homelife at the moment 3. It will be a headache if all is ok - I'm not worried about that but don't want to trouble her if I don't need to). So I've just been doing knicker check at work and silently freaking out. If I can get through today, that would be great as she's not in until next week.

I'm pissed off that early pregnancy care is so scant and that's taking a toll on my mental health. My GP is CRAP. EPU won't see me until scan on Thursday (nearly there I know, but it will have been two weeks of torture). Midwife won't deal with me until I'm 8 weeks. I just feel really alone.

I've got Mumsnet and a few friends online, but I am just struggling so much with this. It's making me really cross and upset.

WAAAAAH.

Oh Stoaty I know this must be horrible but you are so close now! Also, the two week wait might also give you/the sonographer the best chance of seeing that everything is ok. Early pregnancy is a whole series of stressful waits and it is like no one medical accepts the pregnancy is real until you've reached a certain stage - however it's real to you and the worry is awful. Just one more full day to get through and then you'll hopefully get the reassurance you need x

so sorry this is so shit for you, fx for Thurs - these early weeks can be v.stressful, but (and I know it's easier said than done) try not to get yourself really worked up, your body really is a marvellous thing!

Thanks la - bloody Mr Tee told MiL and she was all 'Rex sounds like a dog!' so now he won't even consider it. It's actually a very very good friend of mine's DF's name, and he used to be a fighter pilot, which I think is awesome.

We currently have the following at the top end of the short (long)list: Kit (GoT might have influenced that), Jax (or Jaxon), Fox, Zak (Although this has been ruined by someone I work with). He's quite keen on deciding names now, but my worry is that he won't look like any of them when he pops out, so want to keep options open.

I had a soup for lunch and instead of giving me HB I just want to vom it all up. FFS.

Stoat it's rotten :( but hopefully it's as the others say and the wait will mean it's more likely you'll see something on scan. My first scan they could t decide if it was ectopic, blighted ovum or just too early.

You've had no big bleeding or cramps so I really hope that's a good sign that everything is ok. The wait is excruciating though!

Tee this your baby and your decision not your mils. Stick to your guns gal!

I love Fox! Would never get that past MrWil. Also like Kit and Zac. Dulcet I need to know the name. We had no list and no clue about names and kind of just picked something random. It was impossible to make a list because we disliked each other's choices so much. I think her name suits her though. I love the name Indie, Lauren. I'm sure they told you what a boring mn Rose was. They say that about both my girls' middle names on here but they're family names so I couldn't care. Interestingly though they seem to love Rose as a first name .

Hugs Stoat. I had a mc at about 6 weeks. Phoned EPU where I was asked if I was sure I was pg. Was told in an exasperated tone that it's just 'so early' and that I should just wait and see what happened. I was to phone back in a week if I still had a positive test. I get all that from a medical point of view - nothing they can do and they can't go around scanning everyone, but she didn't even talk me through mc - about bleeding and pain etc or how to tell if it was complete etc. I got info off here or google. I think that part was a bit shit really.

God this is an epic post about nothing . HV wants me to take her to the GP to discuss reflux so will probably do that. It doesn't seem to overly trouble her at some points of the day though so not sure what I think. I can't compare to a 'normal' baby as MiniWil was majorly pukey. don't want to put her on meds if not necessary though plus it's a faff when you're bf.

Hi everyone, sorry not been on, work has been manic.

Stoat, that's crap, I agree re early care, I struggled to get anyone to give a shit when I had kidney infection at 6 weeks, thought I was going to die I felt so terrible, I couldn't even get up the stairs, and had raging fever for best part of 2 weeks so was worried sick. I couldn't imagine how bean could possibly survive me being so ill, but we had a private scan at 8 weeks and there it was all tucked away safely waving at us, I was ill for another 2 weeks after but felt less anxious knowing there was something there. Really hope it's the same for you on Thurs. I was gobsmacked as I'd convinced myself there was nothing there. Suddenly now I'm almost 12 weeks and have had booking app they are much more interested and keep getting me back to wee in things so they can monitor it. Virtual hugs, hang in there. XX

I'm in the middle of sorting a mammoth pile of baby clothes. I've been given A LOT from a friend (2 huge bin bags) and baby has clothes until he's 3 here god knows how I'm going to store it all but I'm very grateful!

Oh I forgot to say! I had my 28 week appointment with the mw today. She said if baby keeps following the growth chart he's on he will be 6.5/7 pound by full term so I'm very happy with that!

la pram is the 2015 uppababy vista, DH picking it up tomorrow morning on his way in to do the last bit of work he needs to do before taking leave to look after me, then pat leave.

chat I'm on the lower down of the wards, where they also do antenatal checks and start inductions. Is that the one I want to come back to? I do have a side room but was told I'd have to come out of it for my induction, everyone on the ward has been so so lovely though.

My protein in my urine has got to silly levels, had to have more bloods done to see if kidneys are working ok. That said, blood pressure is okish! (Good job with the amount of meds I'm. On for it lol)

Sending hugs stoaty. Unfortunately not all pregnancies or MCs are the same. It would be so much easier if they were.
The earliest we could get a private scan is 7 weeks, is that an option for you? It was £99 so not extortionate. I imagine your nhs one is about the same stage though. Apparently they can't spot anything earlier. Have you done anymore tests yourself?

La are you going to find out the flavour? We've decided not to, part of me wants to but I think I'd like a surprise too

It helps having this place to vent. I will be almost 7 weeks when I get my scan and wouldn't have been able to get an earlier one. I don't mind that they can't see anything, if they could, there would be a market for it! I just mind the lack of early support. that's shit what you experienced essie and willywallace I am absolutely horrified that you got that response especially as all the advice says if you see blood! see someone!!

I haven't POAS, I don't know whether to or not. I don't think I would trust it because my hormone levels would probably still make a positive test, I still feel pregnant.

I feel much less anxious when I'm at home at least. I can't believe I was running 5k 3 times a week 3 weeks ago and now I'm struggling to walk to the shops. I really hope I get into the stride of things soon. It's zapped my confidence so much.

I can and I am. He is wonderful but he is sooooo calm. Really relaxed. Which is great because when there's spotting, he just goes 'ok, it's ok' and he is convinced the baby is fine, I don't have to worry about telling him at least. But I do wonder if I'm making a meal of it. He's looking after me, I haven't cooked or done laundry for a while.

I have been so focused on Thursday I'd forgotten I have counselling tomorrow so hopefully that should help.

Aww stoat I'm so sorry :( I had the same feeling of despair when i felt something was wrong but it was too early and no one would see me. I had to pay for private scan which cost me £99. Only then would they listen and sent me to hospital epu.

I so hope you get some peace this week with a wonderful baby on your scan. Crossing everything for you.
