20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Thanks for the welcome Grin

Well based on last period date and according to the websites that ask for your cycle length rather than assuming a 28 day cycle I am 4 weeks 3 days. Only proper symptom at the mo is sore boobs (which as those of you also visit undergrad JS page will know seemed to ease off yesterday and caused me panic but they seem worse again today, phew) - and sometimes I seem to need to pee v soon after last pee but then other times can happily go for hours between pees so that 'symptom' may be imaginary. Don't really want to start feeling like crap but at the same it would be reassuring! Feel like I just felt a bit nauseous but I am actually fairly sure I did imagine that haha.

4 tests confirmed pregnancy but I last tested 5 days ago so I kind of want to test again as still don't believe it but I'm trying to bury the paranoia! If I do test again I will only want to do it again in another couple of days so I'm trying to go cold turkey on the pee sticks!

Sorry for sounding nuts, I know I have little right to be so anxious given that I haven't had personal experience with MC so it is probably insensitive of me to be creating drama when many of you actually have had reason to worry.

Thanks for the support, it really means a lot - we had to tell the friends that we are on holiday with but I don't want to go on about it with them because I don't like that we have had to tell people so early anyway!

LaLaLaaaa · 03/02/2015 10:18

Bat you'll soon come to realise that we're all nuts on here! Dulcet - how many sticks did you per on in the end?

And didn't min POAS to 'check' at 20 weeks pregnant or something?

Grin
teejayem · 03/02/2015 10:23

hi Bat!

We are having a nightmare with names too. I've banned Mr Tee from disclosing any in RL as he's had my favourite three pooh-pooed by other people and has been put right off them. .

batfish · 03/02/2015 10:24

Haha glad it's not just me then! I am very likely to POAS the second I get home from hols but am trying to refrain from buying a test here! Hoping that if anything had gone wrong then I would know about it hasn't stopped me googling miscarriage without bleeding Please tell me the over analysing decreases with time!

teejayem · 03/02/2015 10:51

I POAS'd the day before my 12 week scan to make sure we were going to see 'something'
Blush

So no bat it's not just you! The degree of worry (For me anyway) was probably worse between poas & scan. Although I cacked it again before 20 weeks scan. the overthinking...... probably doesn't go away, but just gets pushed to the back of your mind until you get to the point where you start to worry about how you're going to get the little sod out....rather than trying to keep it in!

batfish · 03/02/2015 11:00

Ok good to know there are others, I am a bit of a worrier when it comes to things that can potentially have a high level of disappointment if they go wrong!

With my friend who had 3 MCs her first was a blighted ovum so she went along to her first scan expecting to see her baby and there was nothing which was just awful, so I don't actually think I will feel any more settled until I have first (hopefully all clear) scan. Luckily where I live we have private healthcare and they bloody love scans (more money from health insurance) so I can get one as soon as I like - I suppose to be sure of a heartbeat I need to wait another 3 weeks or so though but that feels a long time to stay away! However if I was in the UK I wouldn't get anything until 12 weeks so I should try not to abuse the healthcare system, I imagine it could only cause more worry not less!

RhiannonElward · 03/02/2015 11:17

Hello folks, I'm just popping my head in to say hello. Despite the 27 hpts that have come up positive it still seems presumptuous to be here. I think I am due on the 13th October which feels like about 44 years away but it's only my af date today so it's very early days for my little bean.

So, how does this Fred work then? do you need stats or anything?

Pisghetti · 03/02/2015 11:35

Congratulations Rhi!

We'll have to make sure we get a rota going so someone flicks a duster over the place when there's a lucky undergrads thread going on. Until Gaggia gets here anyway - she'll keep the place spick and span.

There is a list with due dates that La is doing a great job of maintaining! I'm trying to avoid it as I know I'll be at the top within a couple of weeks as my buffers Zyla and Red will soon be enjoying newborn snuggles soon.

laurenamium · 03/02/2015 11:38

Welcome and congratulations rhi! Thanks

Pisghetti · 03/02/2015 11:39

*ignore extraneous 'soon'

DulcetMoans · 03/02/2015 11:47

Congrats batfish! Bad things happen but no reason to assume it will happen to you. And actually odds are in your favour that it will be just fine. Just take each day as it comes and try and be as positive as possible. la - not sure but from looking back at an old photo I can count 9 and I know thats not all of them. We all have the crazies!

Oh and Rhi! Just caught the second page. Come on in, don't be nervous. Being here can't make anything bad happen and we have lots to say about aches and pains and other joys of pregnancy!

Indie Rose is lovely lauren! All the best people have Rose as a middle name Wink

I feel I have misled you all as I don't have a list! I just have a name me and DH had talked about ages ago. We haven't even discussed it this time. Except he keeps calling it Obsidian but he's joking. I hope. I want to know all your lists now! I can give a list of already veto'd names cos DH is an idiot.

I have baby school tonight! First one. Not sure what it is, just called a 'Parent Information session' but I am excited to be doing a pregnancy thing.

Pisghetti · 03/02/2015 11:57

Ooh enjoy Dulcet! I've found mine quite interesting even though this isn't my first. As they're being run by the birth centre they take a slightly more hippy approach than the hospital ones I had last time around. Last night was about doing skin to skin, uninterrupted for at least an hour (surely I'll be allowed out of the pool in that time - it'll be minging in there not to mention freezing!) and a brief talk on 'breast crawl' which I duly googled and sure enough there are videos online of newborn babies actually crawling up their mothers' abdomens and latching on to the breast! Amazing.

TheBooMonster · 03/02/2015 12:03

Welcome and congratulations rhi and bat!! gx for those sticky beans!

If you give your stats then someone la will add them to her super organised list and you can watch in horror as you creep up the list!

Just ate a 4 person raspberry jam pudding for lunch. In my defence I tried to share it with DD but she didn't want any (perhaps that's even worse...)

DH had an over excited moment last night bless him! He suddenly realised that a) if I get regular less shit at blogging we can get free things to review and b) with advertising on the blog we can make money from the blog, he had this sudden excited idea of being able to pay all the bills from my blogging so I can stay at home for the rest of eternity with the small folk... I'm not sure whether to be horrified at this sudden dilution he has of my money making ability and the idea of being a SAHM for the rest of eternity or flattered at the skill he thinks I've suddenly developed O.o

LaLaLaaaa · 03/02/2015 12:15

I need due dates please! From mountain and bat please :) gaggia hasn't popped head in yet has she?

I am extremely anal when it comes to stats list. I am currently checking reds blog daily for news so I don't miss the moment!

LaLaLaaaa · 03/02/2015 12:17

So anal I posted twice!

LaLaLaaaa · 03/02/2015 12:19

Oh and if it's DC1, 2, 3, 4....?

ZylaB · 03/02/2015 12:44

My pram has arrived! DH is picking it up tomorrow, I'm so excited, at least it'll be here before baby :)

teejayem · 03/02/2015 12:44

welcome Rhi!

La can you change my DD to June 12th please? I'm sure it'll change again, as it seems to move every time I see a bloody midwife.

I've had Rex and Rupert vetoed :( To be fair the latter is a Jilly Cooper thing. I am a bit of a fangirl (Guilty pleasure, you'd prob never guess I was!!)

Purplecircle · 03/02/2015 13:09

Welcome Batfish hope you're feeling ok.

I'm ramping up the nerves for the scan on Sunday. Terrified there will be nothing there Sad

Last day of looking after children today and back home tomorrow to normality. No more refereeing for a while or dragging preteens out of bed every morning SmileSmile

Zyla glad you're still hanging in there and hurray for the pram Smile

Wil hope the sleep is improving

I need to find antenatal classes not run by treehuggers and lentil weavers, especially as I'm going to be consultant led with probably ELCS at the end of it.
My SiL went to NCT classes where they told her nothing about C Sections or pain relief or bottle feeding. No wonder the poor love has PND

Purplecircle · 03/02/2015 13:10

Dammit mammoth post and forgot to welcome Rhi, or did I do that already. Baby brain is a very real thing and it starts early in pregnancy Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 03/02/2015 13:18

Hi Rhi - welcome. Please feel free to fret about lack of symptoms. That's what Hooyas are for over here Wink La will tell you just how pleased she was when all that moaning about lack of nausea came back to bite her...!

Great pram news Zyla - how's the BP. Did you at least get a side room if you're going to be in for the long run? Tip: ask to return to the same ward post del - if you are where I expect you are, it's much calmer there than the other PNW.

Purple I'm hoping hoping hoping there's a beautiful bean in there for you. You were my first BFP buddy over here Flowers

Bat if you're getting an early scan, go for 8w. If there's a HB there, chances of something going wrong subsequently are much lower. Said from bitter 6w HB and subsequent MC experience.

DD was given a 'paint a teaset' kit for Christmas. I thought I'd hidden it but the little minx carted it into the kitchen this morning and has been demanding we "paint the tea" ever since. We have the in-laws here this w/e, so the house really needs more cleaning, not more mess making!

Pisghetti · 03/02/2015 14:11

Purple the hospital led classes I had in my first pregnancy covered pain relief and the medical interventions you might experience in depth. We only have the MLU in our area now so the classes are more geared towards that sort of philosophy. If I were going outside the area to a consultant led unit, I would have tried to find classes to match so it is worth asking your midwife what options there are when the time comes.

Hooray for prams Zyla! Can he bring it in for you to have a little play with? I need to see if DP can remember how ours works (once we've unearthed it from the mountain of baby stuff being stored on it).

LaLaLaaaa · 03/02/2015 14:21

Ooh which pram zyla!? Exciting!

I'm currently lying down in first aid room at work. Had very heavy pain in lower bump and back, bound to be just result if baby growth spurt but it was so uncomfortable I rang mw to check. She said paracetamol and rest so I've been sent here by my team for a half hour time out. It's really comfy!

Will change it tee :)

Purple my daisy class mentioned c section and epidural last night even though it's a natural birthing class. I was quite surprised but it was good advice! I think hospital antenatal classes would be better for medical side. I'm not sure about nct - do they promote natural birth or do they give all round info? I'm sure everything will be fine for your scan but I'm fx anyway for you as I know how nervous you'll be.

Chat - paint the tea set! That sounds like fun!

I was desperate to get nausea bat, then at 7.5 weeks it hit like a tsunami! Felt bloody awful for 5 weeks! Enjoy having no nausea while it lasts...

LaLaLaaaa · 03/02/2015 14:22

I like Rex tee!
