Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Oooh discuss zyla! But whatever you do, don't do it on the baby name threads or you'll get talked out of nice names into something dreadful Grin . We had a name kind of sorted last time (as I was pretty convinced it was a girl) and then I went off it and the poor child was nameless for at least a week.

ZylaB · 18/08/2014 19:03

Ok, well our surname is a colour, so any names that are colours or flowers, like Scarlett or jasmine etc end up sounding like something off the dulux colour catalogue.

For a girl we love Hannah Emily (Emily is a family name, but we know it's v popular, so using it as a middle name)

For a boy we like Isaac, Zachary or Callum at the moment, but not sure which, and not sure about middle names.

Whatcha think???

wilmabedrock · 18/08/2014 19:11

I love all of them! Isaac is probably just my favourite but then I don't think I know any Zacharys so that might swing it for me and I think Zac is a cool nickname. I do like Callum too but living in Scotland, we have quite a few up here. Sigh I have to get excited about other people's names as MrWil's preferences are so boring traditional.

ZylaB · 18/08/2014 19:16

We like Zac or zach as a nickname too, hence the Isaac and Zachary, think I'm swinging towards Isaac too at the moment. Callum was my suggestion and DH worried it was a bit Scottish, we don't have any Scottish in the family, think it matters?

I don't think any of them are non traditional? Isaac and Zachary are biblical! (Even though we're not religious heh)

ZylaB · 18/08/2014 19:17

What are you both liking? Are they really different?

wilmabedrock · 18/08/2014 19:45

It's not too Scottish at all, I think it is probably just more popular up here.

Yeah traditional was the wrong word, I should have just said boring. He basically doesn't like anything unless he knows 65 other kids called it. He thinks anything not in the top 10 baby names is weird. I have banned all discussions until 8m to avoid fights. I figure I'm going to start off suggesting really obscure things so by the time I get to what I really like, he won't think it's so bad. Envy

laurenamium · 18/08/2014 19:58

I LOVE Isaac! In fact if this one is a boy it will be Isaac James! Zachary is lovely too Smile DD is called Indie. I tend to like airy fairy names but there's something about Isaac. It's a lovely name! (Can you tell I like that name Grin)

ZylaB · 18/08/2014 20:16

Good plan wil hehe I've suggested a couple of silly ones to make the ones I like sounds even better ;)

Isaac is probably the leader at the moment for a boy, will mull it over some more, got another 6 months :)

wilmabedrock · 18/08/2014 20:31

Indie is cool.

laurenamium · 18/08/2014 20:33

Thanks wil Grin

RPopz · 18/08/2014 20:34

Argh god pelvic floors... I've done them twice so far haha... Must. Try. Harder!

Love the names Zyla - esp Isaac. We're really struggling with boys names. I love loads of girls names but hardly any boy names!

Hope Ikea wasn't too horrific Ness!

Nessalina · 18/08/2014 22:51

Ikea was ok! We got what we needed and didn't fall out, so that's pretty good for us!! Grin And I got a massive bag of mini Daim bars - yom!

God, I keep forgetting the pelvic floor wotsits - if it makes that much difference then I must try harder! Blush

laurenamium · 19/08/2014 07:58

Mmm mini daim bars! DD had me up 11 times last night. Eleven. She's got 8 months to get this sleeping malarkey sorted or I'm going to be a very tired person! Confused

Nessalina · 19/08/2014 10:21

Oh good grief!! Confused I don't envy you guys with toddlers... I'm spending so much of my time slobbing, I don't know how I'd cope with a demanding extra person!!

wilmabedrock · 19/08/2014 11:08

OMG lauren, that's awful. Has she always been a bad sleeper or is it a new thing? My mum asked yesterday why I hadn't taken MiniWil's cot sides off yet and I said "are you mental? What if she starts getting out of bed?" Know I'm going to have to bite the bullet at some time though.

Good work in IKEA Ness.

JuniDD · 19/08/2014 11:49

11 times?! Yikes, hope you get to do playing from the sofa today lauren.

Bah, I was really looking forward to my day today and the friends I'm supposed to meet this evening have moved the time later. Not ideal and what's with changing the time the day you're supposed to meet! RANT RANT RANT.

Can anyone recommend any non-scented nappies? I got a small packet of Pampers baby-dry, and it may be pregnancy nose, but they stink of perfume to me!

OP posts:
laurenamium · 19/08/2014 13:14

Oh yes wil leave them on as long as possible! At one point I opened my eyes last night to see her standing in front of me staring at me. I have no idea how long she had been stood there either Confused

She's always been a bad sleeper, she didn't sleep AT ALL as a new born. But last night was a massive step back, I've got used to 2 or 3 wake ups. 11 is a joke!

DD slept better when the sides came off wil. But definitely if its not broke don't fix it Grin

wilmabedrock · 19/08/2014 14:50

Yeah that's what I figure. I've been lucky and had a great sleeper this time, which makes me scared for next time, must be my turn for the opposite!

I just use either pampers or supermarket ones juni, I'm a bit crap. They do natural type ones in Boots but not sure on price or how good they are. Most nappies seem fine except for Pampers basic ones and I've never liked Huggies but some people do.

RPopz · 19/08/2014 19:53

Are all nappies scented then?? I won't even use scented panty liners/ tampons etc... Hmm

cookielove · 19/08/2014 20:09

The micro nappies we are using on Elijah don't smell, well often they smell of poop but I don't think that is a manufacturering issue! They are pampers size 0. AWWWWW!

laurenamium · 19/08/2014 20:28

I've never noticed nappies being scented. I think I must have a rubbish sense of smell!

wilmabedrock · 19/08/2014 21:30

I haven't either but to be honest I've never thought about it.

RPopz · 19/08/2014 21:40

Haha... we have some right conversations don't we!!

DH has had man flu since the weekend.... now I have a sore throat Angry Angry Angry

wilmabedrock · 19/08/2014 22:01

I know, on the other thread they're all cervical mucus, vibrators and endless shagging and we're here discussing fragranced nappies. How quickly things change.

Thank god for yoga, my back feels semi normal. Hope the man-flu clears up.

JuniDD · 19/08/2014 22:42

rpopz, I've got some Nature Baby ones which don't seem to smell. It might just be my weird nose with the pampers after all!

Scored a free mobile from a friend today, nice!

Glad your back is better wil.

You know I was saying I was going to do Lego for my crafty mat leave activity? Well, I got some! I'm going to do it tomorrow and I'll post a pic. It's a suprise for mrJuni after watching the Lego movie - it's of Cloud Cuckoo Land if you've seen it. I've lost my marbles already! Grin
