Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

I must join the Boots club. I'm so lazy, last time I never bothered.

Cookie sounds like he's doing great with his feeding, well done!

Nessalina · 22/08/2014 18:49

Good tip thanks Min!

Wil - I got my costume from M&S, they accommodated my ridiculous bust very well! They have nice tankinis too Smile About £35.

wilmabedrock · 22/08/2014 19:02

I always find it hard to get tankini bottoms which fit, unless they come as separates. Need to get a bigger top than bottom. In good news I had to wear my normal swimsuit today - which I won't get away with much longer - and nobody noticed I was pregnant. Hurrah! Only because it was in the morning though. After lunch and tea I look about 8 months Grin .

RPopz · 22/08/2014 19:22

Eurgh I need to go try on my bikinis from last year. We're going away in a week! Asos has been my go to for maternity wear so far but they don't have much swim wear. Not really a lover of tankinis! Normal bikini in a bigger size would work right? Is there anything special about maternity ones!?

I've been in bed ALL day Grin

RPopz · 22/08/2014 19:23

Hope the shopping went well Cookie Smile Great news on the feeding progress!

MrPopz joined that Boots babyclub to get a free changing bag haha, bless him!

wilmabedrock · 22/08/2014 19:55

If you're going for a bikini, can't see it would make a difference popz. I ain't getting my baby gut out at toddler swimming classes though Grin .

ZylaB · 22/08/2014 20:34

Shhh don't tell anyone yet, but...... I actually enjoyed my (small portion but still..) of food, and for the first time in about 5 days haven't thrown it back up after 30mins or an hour!

Maybe I shouldn't tempt fate but..yay :D

RPopz · 22/08/2014 21:54

I can't quite bring myself to graduate to maternity/ yummy mummy swimwear just yet... judging by the fucking travesty of a collection I've seen Mothercare! Grin Hope preggers bikini wearing isn't too crass WinkHmm

Glad you're feeling better zyla Smile x

RPopz · 22/08/2014 21:56

Poor Mr P lovingly prepared fajitas for dinner earlier and I refused to eat them and had beans and toast instead! SUCH a pregnant cliché Wink

wilmabedrock · 22/08/2014 21:59

Oh fuck now I really want beans on toast.

Bikinis aren't crass at all. But I imagine that you have a better figure than me. My love handles are probably bigger than my bump Grin .

Nessalina · 22/08/2014 22:16

The Mothercare bathing suits are just hideous! So cheap looking.
Bikinis are totally fine with a bump so long as you are stretch mark free! People would run screaming if I tried a bikini... My stretch marks are terrifying. My midwife actually winced when she was listening for baby's heartbeat the other day! Hmm

Minion · 23/08/2014 07:16

I really must buy some autumn, winter maternity clothes, coat and the like. But I'm just so loathed to spend all that money when I'll only be in till December. But man has it gone colder now.
Maxi dresses may have to be consigned to the wardrobe...humph.
Though I did buy some over the bump jeans the other week. I'm wearing them forever I tell you. So very very comfy.
And they actually make me look pg. which apparently I don't. I'm 24 weeks and not showing anywhere apart from belly, which is straight out wards. Went for a Chinese last night and the lady said would you like a beer...(more humph), husband said can't she's pregnant. Well she was completely floored! Asked me if I was very early, told her 5 months gone and she was amazed.
I've even got a colleague at work whose on official bump watch. She tells me when I look pregnant. Only started this week.
Booo I want to look pg just so people start asking me when I'm due hahah.
Though they can happily step away from bump rub.

I've also found my taste buds are back! Woooohoooo. I had some crispy seaweed (cabbage) last night and now I can't stop thinking about it....

Ooh I hope the sickness has gone for p
Good popz fingers crossed for you kid!

Off to a local show today, lots of animals, monster trucks, cake competitions and the like. Can't wait.
Have a fabulous bonk holiday ladies (and babies)!

RPopz · 23/08/2014 10:02

Looks like I made the right call on the fajitas... Mr P has turbo shits this morning Shock Haha!

wilmabedrock · 23/08/2014 10:25

Grin popz

I also need to go maternity shopping. Hate spending the money on such short-term things though.

I feel so sick this morning and need to go into town Sad .

FurryScoob · 23/08/2014 11:37

Lucky eascape rpopz
New look have a sale on maternity stuff instore, just got 3 vest tops for £12 instead of £12 each.
I'm now on the hunt for an 80's fancy dress costume for September, I'll be 31 weeks by the party so it might take a while to find something that fits!

RPopz · 23/08/2014 12:38

Think it was a one off explosion... Hmm Lol. He's gone to work now so can't be that bad!

I know what you mean about buying mat clothes Min ... I'm kinda loathe to buy anything. I've bought a top and a dress from asos so far but neither look particularly maternityish so hopefully will do me even when I'm not pregnant! A friend gave me a big bag of her old mat stuff too. Not really my style but good enough for slobbing round in. Don't really look to pregnant at the min anyway... apart from looking a bit beer gut -y haha!

Hope town's not to busy Wil! I need to go on my swimwear hunt... bleurgh

Nessalina · 23/08/2014 17:25

I've been lucky that a friend lent me some clothes and they've done me quite well. I did splurge a bit on holiday mat stuff Confused
There's no way I'm buying a winter coat though, so the weather better not get any colder! Already can't button up my old one Grin

wilmabedrock · 23/08/2014 17:39

Yeah I'm going to need a coat, don't fancy trying to get through a scottish winter without one.

So off out tonight. Operation varicose veins is involving leg make-up plus sheer tights. Might just get away with it.

RPopz · 23/08/2014 18:33

Hope you have a nice time Wil Smile x

JuniDD · 23/08/2014 19:28

Is this the solo wedding, wil? Hope you have fun!

I'm hoping I'll get away without a coat. My puffa fitted up until it was too hot for a coat so hoping to get away without a new one as baby due mid-Oct and I'm still BOILING. Keep going out and about and seeing people wearing coats and shoes while I'm in vests and sandals!

Second New Look. They sell packs of t-shirts/long sleeved tops so you could get a couple of them and another pair of trousers or so min plus your usual cardis? I have a MASSIVE wardrobe usually so it's weird to have to wash every week but I don't want to buy too much maternity stuff. I did buy a couple of jumpers though as it's gone off cold and I'll probably need them for a while after baby's here. So difficult to know what shape/size I'll be. Hey ho!

OP posts:
wilmabedrock · 23/08/2014 23:05

You'll probably go back to a normalish shape juni if you haven't gained that much during pg unless you sit around eating cake like me.

Not the wedding, that involves a whole weekend away. Just a friend's birthday. Home now nice and early though. Smile

cookielove · 24/08/2014 01:26

Hello all, its amazing how quick the bump goes, although I think the being unable to eat thing is really affecting me and my size.

Well his feeding has gone backwards today, he drank off me on my two early feeds but not since we got home. He is holding out for a bottle. Been reading up on the Kelly mom website for tips and ideas. But it really is so hard to let it go and be fine with him drinking from a bottle. He also doesn't like his crib and is refusing to sleep in it! Joy

HungryHorace · 24/08/2014 07:56

I have an ASOS maternity winter coat I can donate for postage (and you'll probably want to clean it).

It's a size 12 and black. I'll see if I can find it online, though they may not do it now!

HungryHorace · 24/08/2014 07:59

Oh, my bump won't go....you're all lucky (and cookie, you have the advantage of skipping the last 6 weeks of weight gain!).

I'm carrying weight from both pregnancies, and have a bad abdominal split which doesn't help. If I suck my broken abs in it's a totally different story as it almost goes then.

I'll be back on the cross trainer once I'm signed off by the GP. I've at least 2 stone to lose.
