Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

la I've already started calling my small bump Hannah so I doubt we'll change our mind, we love the name :)

With regards to sex, I'm sorry to say we've only DTD once, I'm 15+4 but I was paranoid at the start, then just knackered and sick after! Just starting to debate it again hehe.

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 09:30

To be honest I didn't use much for stretch marks last time as I'm lazy. Occasionally put bio oil or moisturiser on. That sucks about your job la, hope all is ok.

I think the drinking thing is a personal choice. I would be inclined to wait until end of first trimester. I don't drink but that's only because I have personal experience of FAS - which just puts me off, I know it's not going to happen from the odd glass of wine or whatever. But then I regularly forget to take my folic acid which is a lot worse - we all do things we're not 'supposed' to.

Seems like a quiet day at work today. Fx those aren't famous last words.

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 09:31

Oh forgot to answer the sex thing. First pg I loved sex after the first trimester. This pg, I have absolutely no interest.

KatoPotato · 16/09/2014 09:38

My MN name is what we called my bump with DS. DH said I was baking a wee Kato potato. (I'm kate (Kato) y'see!)

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 10:09

It's a lovely name zyla!

The name we really want for a girl we can't have because it doesn't go with surname Hmm gutting.

We think we like Ben for a boy and if she's a girl she'll be Lily-Marie. Hyphenated again because of surname (if you're on Facebook page you'll know what my surname is and see why!)

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 10:09

I love that kato! Kato Potato!

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 10:12

Hehe I can guess your surname! What's the name you want but can't have? Or is it Lily without the Marie? . I like those names. All Bens I know are quite adventurous and cool. Will you find out sex?

Pisghetti · 16/09/2014 10:31

I can only think of girl's names. With DS I could only think of boy's names. I've managed to convince myself I'm having a girl. I think we will find out at the 20 week scan if baby plays ball. A wee Kato Potato is so cute!

We've been ok with DTD since I got my BFP. Less often in the night as I'm falling asleep very quickly, more often in the morning as a result.

I've ordered the week by week book after the recommendations. I've been using an app which I'm not all that thrilled with. The only thing I like is the fruit-foetus comparison. I have a lemon this week. Thankfully I also read that my uterus is the size of a small melon which more accurately explains the definite pot belly I'm sporting than a lemon.

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 10:39

Isla!

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 10:46

I've always wanted a girl but since getting upduffed I think it's a boy for some reason.

I don't want to find out - I'm ild fashioned and want a surprise Grin I may be retracting that later though if I get impatient...

ZylaB · 16/09/2014 10:49

la I know your surname is a colour like mine, we were discussing problems, so now I know which colour with that name you can't use :).
Mines a darker one, I nearly didn't take it when we got married :p

Pisghetti · 16/09/2014 10:49

Hahaha no that DEFINITELY won't go with your surname Grin it reminds me of Teresa Green! I think I'm pretty lucky that DP's surname doesn't clash with much.

I gave my son my surname as a first name (he has his dad's surname) which is also my DP's first name and is of course still my surname so I wouldn't mind jamming it in as a middle name regardless of sex to maintain the theme.

RPopz · 16/09/2014 10:52

I love the name Isla... need to go check fb to remind myself of your surname! Smile

I was pretty mellow and chilled out and happy in the first trimester La (apart from the dreaded m-word anxiety). Pregnancy rage only started very recently Wink And sex wise I was so bloody knackered and nauseous we didn't do much. Although the odd time we did it was very nice (Pregnancy perks Wink ) I think my interest peaked in the last couple of weeks. Now I'm starting to feel massive and achey I'm guessing it'll be off the menu again soon!!

RPopz · 16/09/2014 10:53

Haha OMG I think I just realised what it is Grin Grin Grin

RPopz · 16/09/2014 10:55

Hah triple post... preg brain. I'm convinced this is a boy too... and we only have girl names!

Waves Minion

Hope everyone's well today x

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 11:03

Bit nervous even about lily-Marie but we love it. Do you think we can get away with it? Zyla colour names are a nightmare - as you said everything sounds like it's from dulex catalogue!

Who's doing new Fred?

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 11:03

Hahahaha yeah I can see why that wouldn't work. Isla is very pretty but if you come back to Scotland, you'll be tripping over them, you hear it screamed every time you go anywhere.

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 11:05

Popz do you want to seeing as you're the next to pop out of those around this morning?

I think with the Marie it's fine la, i probably wouldn't notice the connection tbh.

ZylaB · 16/09/2014 11:56

Those of you who already have little ones - what temperature do you wash their clothes and sheets on when they're a baby? Our washing machine has a 'baby' setting, but when I looked at it, it's a 95 degree wash. Are you meant to boil wash baby things? Won't it fade the colours? Also, do you use a different powder/liquid, or is normal non-bio ok?

Can you tell I'm doing the washing atm lol

ZylaB · 16/09/2014 11:56

Stuff like this worries me, cos it shows just how clearly clueless I am. We want this baby so much, but I'm going to have no clue at all how to look after her, omg!

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 12:35

You will be fine zyla. I have always just used a 40 wash except when covered in spew, poo or wee when I use 60 (if garment is salvagable sp). I guess you could use boil wash for whites covered in sick or poo to get stains out but tbh although I do a lot of bad things to the env, I couldn't bring myself to use continuous 95 degree cycles.

I would use some kind of non-biological baby friendly powder/liquid as their wee skin is quite sensitive at first.

ZylaB · 16/09/2014 12:48

Thanks wil the tamp and impact to the environment was a bit why I wondered! I'll try and stop fretting :)

splodge77 · 16/09/2014 12:56

hi all, Zyla, I just washed everything at 40 I think! with non-bio liquid as DS had eczema when he was a baby. Oh god, the endless washing. Had forgotten that bit :-)

Well I feel kakitty-pants-poo. Nauseous all day and in bed by 9.30. Am starting an evening class in a few weeks. Hope i don't snore all the way through it! Is anyone else endlessly eating sweets or is it just me? My poor teeth.

Minion · 16/09/2014 13:53

Waves popz back x

Im going home. Come over all sick and tight feeling ish. Feel so pathetic.
Oh woe is me.
Pity party for one.
I'd order in sausage rolls to commiserate but I've no room in my stomach for even wind.
Balls indeed.

OTOH, I have booked my driving test! Oh dear god..

On the subject of the bumping uglies variety, weve done it a few times, nothing newly explosive but the other day I was feeling, uh, experimental, shall we say and decided to 'go it alone'.. well... lets just say I managed more in that 8 mins than it's ever taken me in about 30!

WOW!

sorry.
