Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Hello everyone:)
hope everythings okay dances!
glad the medication is working CisforCat! I had to be on medication for really bad ms with my first. It's just set in this morning for me this time..fingers crossed it's not as bad!
Still lots of cramps though...but I had them the whole nine months last time as well...blah.

BananaToast · 16/08/2014 14:25

Oh no dances, hope everything's ok. Is there anywhere you can go and get checked out?

Wherediparkmybroom · 16/08/2014 14:43

Dances, I'm praying for you ( not something I normally do) but try not to panic, I was a month off with my dates first time because I swore I had had a period. Xx

dancestomyowntune · 16/08/2014 14:47

i think the epu is only open monday to friday Sad

its pinkish and only when i wipe at the moment so i am trying not to panic. resting in bed and contemplating ringing the hospital, but think they will say wait til monday. Sad

Kelbells · 16/08/2014 15:13

Dances... Fingers crossed for you, I had the same last night - light pinkish and it's become brown today which I remember from my last pregnancy is a positive as a the light pink is likely to be from the cervix and b if it turns brown it's older not fresh blood... Rest up this weekend and hopefully you'll get some positive reassurance from the epu on Monday... I keep curling into a ball as if tucking my legs under me will somehow keep the little bean in there... Ridiculous, I know!

BananaToast · 16/08/2014 15:39

I had the same yesterday lunchtime - pinkish red but quote watery, but it was only there for a couple of wipes and has been v light brown since. GP and EPU think it was just implantation so fingers crossed all will be fine for you.

Lindalove · 16/08/2014 16:06

Fingers crossed Dances.

Yeah just got a sleep bra from JoJoMamanBebe which is just on my high st. Tried it out this pm with a snooze - very comfy!

My 8 wk scan is at the Fetal Medicine Centre in Harley St which gets good reviews. Just hope I can see something, ideally a heartbeat. I think if you can see that at 8wks your miscarriage risk drops to 5%.

StopEatingThatMud · 16/08/2014 17:30

Everything crossed for you Dances.

Is anyone else just so flipping uncomfortable? I got in from work half hour ago and had to get straight into my pyjamas! My bra was irritating me, I feel like my ribs are expanding by the hour, I'm so bloated its unreal yet weight wise I'm no heavier. I feel like I'm being a drama queen its such early days!

dancestomyowntune · 16/08/2014 17:35

dh has said that i should ring epu on monday and try and get my scan brought forward. i am praying its nothing too disastrous. dh has been fabulous, and even my mum has told me to take it easy. Sad

Cisforcat · 16/08/2014 18:17

Got my fingers crossed for you dances. Try and not panic and rest up til Monday. Sending hugs.

Well- I went for a walk today and I am now crippled. I think my SPD is returning in full force. I was expecting. It earlier this time but not this early. Every time I walk now it is really sore under my belly and groin. Think I need to take it easy but it's made me panic. I couldn't walk near the end last time because of it and If it's started this early now I'll be absolutely crippled - how will I cope with an 8 month old?!!

Sorry to hear that dancestomyowntune, sounds like it's quite light so try not to worry impossible I know!

Try not to think the worse Cisforcat, definitely something to speak to gp and midwife about ASAP. Is there anything physio can do?

My midwife was pretty good with info at booking appt tryinghard2, I think you're likely to think of more as you go through and have some more at 16wk appt.

Wineandchoccy · 16/08/2014 19:15

Dances hope you are ok.

Everything smells funny today, we have just lit a scented candle in the living room and it smells yuck. I'm freezing as well I've just put my fleecy onesie on Its a good job I'm already pregnant because I don't look very attractive in it Grin

What's everyone drinking instead of alcohol? I am on Lidl cranberry and raspberry with ice it's lovely, I can definitely recommend.

WigglyBraddins · 16/08/2014 20:48

Thinking of you dances hope everything is okay.

Banana I'm really glad you're feeling more positive. Hope it all stays okay.

BananaToast · 16/08/2014 21:37

Thanks Wiggly, how are you feeling?

Wine I'm not a big drinker so not missing alcohol at all but there will be a few occasions where I would usually have a drink coming up so need to perfect the pretending to drink thing. It shouldn't be too hard as I usually drink vodka and mixer so I can just get mixers and it'll look the same.

dancestomyowntune · 16/08/2014 22:06

ok, so mums just come in from work and had a theory. there is only blood present when i urinate, is it possible that the blood is from my urine, not the pregnancy? Sad i have had kidney stones in the past and the first symptom i was aware of was peeing blood, which i originally thought was from my cervix (this was a year into no periods with mirena coil). 2 weeks later i was admitted to hospital in agony (worse than childbirth- i actually passed out in a and e from the pain).

now, when i was admitted two weeks ago they commented on protien in my urine but did not (to my knowledge) treat it. i have been struggling with kidney pain on and off since getting bfp. think i'll ring the ward tomorrow, but what do you ladies think? could i be having kidney trouble not miscarriage? or am i clutching at straws? Sad

cinnamongreyhound · 17/08/2014 00:06

Sounds very sensible dancestomyowntune, might be worth a call to nhs direct and possible emergency gp appt?

prevlurker123 · 17/08/2014 07:47

On the drinking front I have had to come up with a new plan quick as had two big nights out I had to go to just two days after finding out! Stuck to alc-free beer both nights and really enjoyed it! Felt like undercover police trying to hide it from my friends tho!

Getting my first pregnancy 'symptoms' in waking up v early needing to pee every morning!! V thankful for not having a hangover! ;)

Thinking too of everyone above going through worrying times. This is my first so I dont have much advice unfortunately but I am thinking positive thoughts for you all.

dancestomyowntune · 17/08/2014 07:57

i dont know whether to ring the ward i was admitted too (also the one the epu advise phoningvwhen they are closed) or out of hours doctor Sad .

Wineandchoccy · 17/08/2014 08:21

dances I think to put your mind at rest I would ring somebody for advice especially if you have had kidney stones because it could be that again. It's a long wait till tomorrow to be worrying. Flowers

Cisforcat · 17/08/2014 08:28

Dances I'd ring the ward- that way they can always direct u to the GP but will be the most knowledgeable to start with. Good luck. Fingers crossed for you.

Here's the next thread as we've filled this one nearly!

Hi all can I join in too? 29 and 5.5 weeks with our first- due mid April! Really excited but trying keep it a secret as we're quite worried about what could happen this early. Doesn't help that we're on a holiday in France with mum and sis so having to discreetly not drink!

Congrats to everyone btw Smile

Alby16 · 24/08/2014 10:50

Oh hi please may I join!!

Brand new to this.... Only 5 weeks but actually can't hold in my excitement. Dh and I made a choice not to tell anyone but even now I feel isolated so blurted it out to my sister the other day ha! When did u tell people??? Immediate family for instance??

Also I am 27, due 26th April, DH is 28 we have been together for almost 11 years (actually babies when we got together hahaha) and been married for a year :)
