Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

I suppose I'd better get up the GP, and grab a referral, I know they are really busy so with a bit of luck I'll get away with just midwife visits this time!

Wherediparkmybroom · 26/07/2014 18:00

You will probably find your appointments are more frequent misty, they kept a closer eye on first time mums, try not to wind yourself up though! Perfectly natural process, and keep busy, it makes the time go quicker.

Ok who is going to find out at 20 weeks?

Cisforcat · 26/07/2014 18:21

Oh me definitely! I'm rubbish at surprises!

Are you? Any preferences or gut feelings?

I haven't seen doc or midwife yet. Think I''ll call on Monday to find out what procedure is.
I am defo going to find out!! Always thought I'd have 2 boys but since becoming pg with this one got weird feeling it's a girl. I don't mind either way but I want to know for shopping purposes!
I hate the first 12 weeks too. Only because I worry so much. Just love it after that though abd if all goes well this will be my last time so trying to stay positive and enjoy it.
Went for pub lunch with friend today and she guessed straight away when she saw me drinking lemonade! So that's 2 people in the know now. Has actually made it feel a little more real Smile

I'm fine with the heat did wake up feeling terrible yesterday but it may have been something I ate. I am sort of realising I'm going to have to find ways round some work things as I get bigger, I can't really keep lugging weights around the way I do. I might invest in a sack barrow lol.
I am definitely finding out, much as I love my boys I want a girl and need to know before the day.

Hi! Just lurking again hoping and praying at 10 dpo and really wanting to join u guys!. Have done a cb test and it looked bfn first but by now has developed the faintest hint of a thin line . Had lines last cycle at 11 and 12 dpo then bleeding at 12 dpo so feeling bloody annoyed here . Am on holiday and can't test again in the morning since used my last test until we get home tomorrow midnight . Couldn't be feeling much worse though. How can anyone feel like this without being preg I wonder . Had a bit of blood on 7 dpo ( never happened before except a drop last month at 8 dpo ) And then the symptoms started for real . Nausea is horrible everything tastes and smells vile , peeing 20 times a day , boobs aching and on fire really , feel hot even in airconditioning , back pain , cramping etc . With my history I don't seem to get far though even if conceived so really pessimistic . Maybe a miracle will happen and I'll get to join u soon. Couldn't resist looking at duedate calculator and it would be 10.4.

Cisforcat · 27/07/2014 16:54

Got my fingers crossed for you nordi! Hope it turns out to a BFP but a faint line now is positive thus far so here's hope!

My I melted last night- woke up at 3 totally dripping. Feel so sorry who are heavily pregnant in this weather!

I don't feel pregnant at all to the point I keep forgetting I am. Anyone else the same? Kind of fustrating but then to be fair there's plenty of time to feel crap! Should count myself lucky and hope it stays this way!

Hope everyone's having a good weekend enjoying the weather!

nordicmum sounds like you could be! I am questioning my positive test result tbh. I think because it seems so early (I only had mirena coil removed on 1/7/2014... So less than a month! Having said that dd2 was conceived the month I had the implant removed, so I am known for being pretty fertile!

I am going to leave it a few days and retest with a clear blue one, the ones that give an indication of how many weeks.

ladyflower23 · 27/07/2014 18:44

Good luck nordi. Let us know how you get on!!
Cisforcat. I am also quite lacking on the symptoms front although felt quite sick after breakfast this morning which was quite exciting. Did forget last week though and made myself a coffee (shock horror!!!) I remembered before I drank it though and threw it away Grin

Thanks guys . I'm feeling very pessimistic and depressed to be honest . It took us 5 y to have dd and in the end it was through a gestational surrogate so not holding much hope . Had ds myself though and dd is ours biologically so it could work in theory . If u don't hear from me I've boarded the august bus . Good luck to you all !

BrixtonBunny · 28/07/2014 06:08

Hello ladies - tentatively dipping my toes in for now as have had a couple of faint positives on superdrug tests in the last 12 hours! Trying not to get my hopes up too much but obviously it's really hard! Confused

Before I read back can I cheekily ask for some advice - when did you call your GP? Do you make an appointment with them or with the nurse? Wondering if I should call today or if I should wait for a stronger line?

Going to buy a frer on my way to work, as having difficulty believing I might actually be upduffed. At this stage feeling terrified more than anything, and hoping so so hard that the bean sticks!

Will read back soon xxx

Nordicmom · 28/07/2014 06:45

Brixton , I contacted a Gp at 7 w since I wasn't signed up with one in our new area we'd moved into . They then put me into the system , gave me options of hospitals to deliver in etc. the silly locum( old clueless man when I thought I was seeing a lady , was my first baby so nervous ) thought he didn't need to do anything for me since I was only 7 w but the receptionist got him to fill firms etc . I then had a midwife visit at home for a initial booking in App around 12 w ( filling forms with both of ours medical history , taking blood samples , blood pressure etc) before my first scan app that I got an invitation for in the mail in my chosen hospital . Nobody ever confirmed my preg via bloodsample or urine at GPs or anything which I wondered about they just took my word for it .

Nordicmom · 28/07/2014 06:48

Nothing really seemed to happen in the first 12 w before my booking in app and scan .it was just an annoying waiting game . This is unless u pay private for early scans or have a history that makes them scan u more. With my mc history I had early scans with every preg after my first and will again if I get anywhere ...

Nordicmom · 28/07/2014 06:50

Congrats and good luck Brixton ! I couldn't test today at 11 dpo since run out and on holiday but will when home after midnight tonight . Only 11 dpo today though. Yesterday's test has a clear but very thin line. Looks like the one from last month at 11 dpo .

BrixtonBunny · 28/07/2014 06:52

Thanks for the advice Nordic! Thin line sounds very promising, good luck for testing tomorrow - keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you xxx

That's great Brixton! Fingers crossed it is a def BFP but certainly sounds like it.

It seems from everyone's posts that every area arranges booking appointments differently. ( our area has booking app with midwife at 8 weeks so I just booked it via GP surgery and didn't bother with GP as with my DD they did nothing and just told me to book midwife app)

If I were you if ring your GP and just ask what the procedure is.

Good luck nordi too- hope all the baby dust is working :)

BrixtonBunny · 28/07/2014 10:45

Hello again all. I peed on a clearblue digi (worried? Me?!) and it says "pregnant 1-2 weeks". Such a relief! I called the doc and have an appointment Wednesday afternoon to "chat about next steps like midwives". Can't dare to believe this is happening! Xx
