Hi everyone. Its been a very long time since I have posted on mumsnet, but today I have found out that I am expecting baby number 2. My ds1 is just over three years old. Bit shocked to be having another baby but very pleased too.
It would be great to get a thread going as people join me with their April 2007 due dates!!
Very nervous as ds1 had group b strep and birth and was v poorly but forewarned is forearmed as they say!
Look forward to chatting with anyone who feels like posting!

Ahhhh womblingalong neither have I lost the baby weight from my first. Athough I don't think that it can still be called baby weight as my dd is 2.5 (no longer a baby). Oh well this is my last pregnancy so will def have time to loose the weight afterward.

Twinkle glad to see that someone elses boobs are swelling suprisingly quickly (embarased to say that i think right one is swelling faster than left). What is an erpc? if you dont mind me asking.

Last night had a lot of cramping in my pelvis when in bed.

How is everyone else today?

mammyjo · 05/08/2006 16:18

My boobs have definitely grown! Am getting the unsightly bulge out of the cup!! They are extremely tender too, especially when my ds decides to give me a rather forceful hug.
Very nauseated and have vomitted a couple of times, know that this is a good sign but I feel like crap, still very tired.
Hope everyone else is doing ok today.

Hello everyone, hope you have all had a good day. My nausea and vomiting has kicked in good and proper today and feel absolutely wiped out. I am knackered to the point that I feel like I could sleep anywhere! If my husband whinges about him being tired one more time I swear I will do something regretable!!
I guess my hormones are running riot!

Morning everyone!!!

How is everyone feeling?? I am feeling great but I am one of the lucky ones and don't seem to get morning sickness so will have to take your words on how horrible it is!! I feel so great that I am beginning to think that maybe I have just had 6 false positives!!! Sorry to rub it in but hope that you feel better soon mammyjo!

Snap womblingalong!! When they gave you your due date did they work it out from the 1st day of your last period cos I still haven't had my due date confirmed yet - thats just a calculation by me???? Just hope its right

bubblez an erpc is Evacuation of Retained Products of Conception, Its where your body won't remove your pregnancy and your at risk of infection so the hospital do it for you! I lost twins managed to do one but not the other!!!

liath · 07/08/2006 12:29

Hi. Would like to join....Thought I was pregnant two months ago but got it all wrong but with two postive tests - I guess I really am pregnant this time! My dates work out at a due date of 15th April. We are really pleased as although it will be my DP's and my first child together - we already have 4 between us. My DD 8 and DS 5 and his DS 6 and DD 5! So it is going to be a full house!!! We thought it might take some time as I am 38 and he is 41 so we are feeling lucky. Personally I am also feeling tired (already) and with sore boobs - the joys!

doobydoo · 07/08/2006 20:35

I am tired too![yawn].Going to docs tomorrow,i suppose to have it confirmed and talk about 'options'.How does that happen...2 positive tests but not pregnant?

mammyjo · 07/08/2006 20:37

Welcome liath, doobydo and zazas. Hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies!!
Glad you are feeling so well twinkle, you are very lucky and I am jealous
Actually not had too bad a day, still really tired and nauseas but no actual vomiting so a definite improvement!!
I love this thread already, what a fab place to whinge and no one tells you to shut up moaning! (or hopefully not anyway!)

Hello and welcome to the new people (and congrats too!)

Well I am sooooo tired its making me feel unwell. Feeling a bit sick at times too, which I'm sure will only get worse as I'm not quite 6 weeks yet. Feel like I constantly have the hangover from hell. Poor dh is all ready for sex, but I just can't bring myself to oblige (sorry if tmi!) and to think he complained when ttc!

Bramshott · 08/08/2006 09:51

Wow, so many people - it's really happening now! bubblez - how are your crampy type pains now (think it was you on other thread). Mine seem to have gone and am feeling generally good, although some nausea seems to be setting in this morning.

twinkle183 · 08/08/2006 10:09

Hi all woke this morning to bleeding

I am really worried that I will lose this one too... have phoned the midwife but she said because I am only 5 wks that they won't scan me... has anyone got some reassuring words!! I haven't got any pain....!!!

I am hoping for the best Am still not feeling too pregnant apart from the occasional sore boob.... Haven't felt sick yet either....

I hope that everyone else is okay!!!

Take care and am keeping my fingers crossed!

Twinkle183

Bramshott · 08/08/2006 10:19

Oh twinkle you poor thing - I'm thinking of you.

You might find all is okay anyway? I read that it's quite normal to have some bleeding around the time your period would have been due (had some myself at 4.5 weeks - period usually due about 3.5 weeks).

Crossing my fingers here.

mammyjo · 08/08/2006 10:24

Poor you twinkle. I have a friend who bled all the way through her pregnancy and still ended up with a healthy baby girl so you never know. Its so scary when you're pregnant isnt it, everything is a worry. I dont feel so sick today so automatically I take that as a bad sign yet when I feel sick I cant stop whinging about it. Cant win really.
Thinking of you twinkle, fingers crossed that everything is ok. xxx

womblingalong · 08/08/2006 11:48

Twinkle very at your news, but try to keep positive, as others have said, it does happen even when everything is ok. I have got my fingers crossed for you too. Do your best to not worry too much, easier said than done, I know. I have also m/c twice before so am worrying a bit too.

Re the dates, it has been worked out from the dtae of my last period, yes, although bec I have pcos, the gp said it was not definitive, and I will have o have a dating scan to be sure.

twinkle183 · 08/08/2006 11:58

Thanks for all your kind words... bleeding seems to have stopped now!!!! So, I have everything crossed... fingers, toes.. etc!!!

Take care everyone and I will keep you posted!!!

doobydoo · 08/08/2006 14:38

Everythings crossed Twinkle.I have heard that it can be usual to have some bleeding round about when period is due too.I am 5 weeks tomorrow and have period pains[that's what it feels like].
Let us know how you are.lol

bubblez · 08/08/2006 14:44

Hello everyone welcome all newbies,

Have been offline for a few days (have actually had visitors how exciting).

Bramshot my cramping pains have also practically disapeared, thankfully!

Twinkle I had some bleeding with my dd and she is a healthy 2.5yr old so try not to worry. Will be thinking of you though, how many weeks are you?

In fact how many weeks are we all?

I've just entered week 5.

bubblez · 08/08/2006 14:44

Oh sorry and I'm due 9th April.

sallycinnamon · 08/08/2006 14:55

Hello! Can I join your gang? Did test this morning and there it was.. a feint little cross. Can't believe it!
Twinkle I also had a small amount of bleeding with dd and she is fine. Try not to imagine the worse.

bubblez · 08/08/2006 15:31

congratulations sallycinnamon when would be your edd and how many weeks would that make you?

babycakes26 · 08/08/2006 16:58

Hi all
I have just joined the March 07 thread as according to my own calculation I am due on 31 March. Could well be April though so wanted to drop in here as well as you all seem to be at a similar stage to me/experiencing the same things being at the end of March. Hope you are all feeling OK - thinking about you Twinkle...
Oh BTW I am 37 (first timer) had a m/c last year at 13 wks so feeling anxious as everyone that has been through this will understand. DH 39 and looking after me (a little too well) shouldn't complain though...

twinkle183 · 08/08/2006 17:48

Hi all... am feeling alot better just trying to keep a positive head on things....

Am still waiting for my appointment for the midwife??? Any one else got an appointment yet? Am due by my calculations on the 7 April which makes me about 5 wks but 6 wks on saturday... am counting down the days until second trimester!! Had miscarriage at 9 wks in march lost twins so hoping this will be okay!!!

Will keep you posted though on all goings ons... Welcome to all newcomers hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies.

sallycinnamon · 08/08/2006 18:05

I was due on today and I'm a regular 28 day person so I guess that makes me 4 weeks! I'll go to the GP some time this week and I suppose he will give me an EDD. I've looked enviously at these ante natal club threads for a while now so its great to be on one at last!
