DP does all floor level duties here now! And DS too! I don't bend unless I'm in work!! It just hurts. Like having a metal basketball inside you!

TheDetective · 03/09/2012 20:32

Thanks for making me feel less unreasonable!!! I still feel bad though!

kissyfur · 03/09/2012 20:36

I'm trying to avoid DTD too! Just don't feel like it at all this pg, feel a bit sorry for DP Blush I gave in on his birthday last month tho!

Limpit80 · 03/09/2012 20:37

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to new people!
Im also frustrated by people commenting on my size, except that people keep telling me that I look very small and not 'very pregnant' Hmm. As its my first baby, it keeps making me panic that the baby isnt growing enough! Had a 31 wk GP appointment today though and was so relieved when she measured me and said the baby was 'a nice size'.

I had a craving for apples earlier in the preganancy too. The baby kicks like mad when I eat chilli at the moment, I think it may come out with a taste for spicy food!

Detective - I dont think thats fussiness. Fish isnt a vegetarian option. With all the money that people spend on weddings these days, venues should at least be able to get that right!

Evil - Im not scared about sex making the baby coming, more about my bladder holding up!! I feel like I need a wee about every 3 mins at the mo! Blush.

Evilwater · 03/09/2012 20:39

I'm glad, I'm not the only one. I know im being crazy, but it's these crazy hormones.

Evil

pikz · 03/09/2012 20:42

I cried the other week as I couldn't do the buckles up on my own wedges. DP just laughed and did them up for me. Had a friend telling me a funny story about waving her knickers towards her foot and trying to catch them to get them on...at lest I'm not bad yet!!

Passmethecrisps · 03/09/2012 20:51

Salmon is not a vegetable! Lots of meat eaters don't like salmon. I'm also going to a wedding at 39 weeks. Bit nervous about it actually as it is 4 hours away by car and we will be staying over. The bride and groom have been great and very understanding. We will just need to wait to see if I am able to go. We had the same scenario at our wedding.

Not been well today - woke up with the deepest sense of exhaustion and some nausea. I ended up calling in to work and taking the day off. I felt really bad about it but when I went back to sleep I slept for hours. Woke, had lunch then went for another nap. Feel massively better now though.

Re the weight gain chat, I think I had put on just over a stone about 3 weeks ago. I haven't weighed myself since. I know my bum and thighs are much bigger but the rest of me not so much. As a colleague said to me last week "ah well, passme, at least you still have skinny ankles"

My bump is now really lumpy. I can feel body parts. I find it almost impossible to believe that it has still to double in weight.

I spent some of my awake time looking at lovely cloth nappies.

TheDetective · 03/09/2012 20:56

I've taken to holding on to the bed frame and waving my knickers around in the hope the land on my foot Blush Oh dear!!!

FatimaLovesBread · 03/09/2012 20:56

I've just got really het up and annoyed/upset looking for cot sheets Confused
I got myself frustrated about where to look and the variation in prices.
Ended up just ordering some from Asda as they're cheap.
I think that's everything on my list now. Although we don't know if the cot will be ready in time so i'm contemplating getting a moses basket.

Forgot to say, DH broke his finger at cricket yesterday, a bit of pay back for being a drunk and keeping me awake on Saturday Grin

We haven't DTD since i've been pregnant! How bad is that? I didn't want to for the first 12 weeks just incase, and now i'm a fat heffer Smile been having a few horny dreams though Blush

Catbag · 03/09/2012 21:01

Detective What a cow! That's awful

Evil - All of my labours thus far (that's 2 singletons and a set of twins) have been triggered by sex, and I've no reason to believe that this one wouldn't be either. DH is so paranoid about it happening that he has imposed a sex ban on himself (!) until the babies arrive. I can't say I mind to be honest- I feel like crap, my hips and general pelvic area hurt, I certainly DON'T feel attractive and the babies are wriggly when I go to bed that I'd just be too grossed out to consider it!

Catbag · 03/09/2012 21:04

PS Detective I'm a life long vegetarian and get a little irritated by people asking me if that means I eat fish. NO! NOTHING WITH A FACE!

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/09/2012 21:11

I think my labour with ds was triggered by sex, he was born at 38+5 and we'd been having regular (at least once a week) sex up til then so they def won't come out before they're ready!

We still dtd about 2 or 3 times a week atm. Makes my tummy go hard afterwards but I've read sex can trigger BHs so assume its that.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/09/2012 21:11

Well, I was quite up for DTD and planning to tempt DH into submission but now with my problem area I am teetering on the edge of the bed and got quite worried last night when he put down his I pad when I turned off the light.

I haven't shared my vein problem with him as don't want to put him off forever and am too embarrassed. Blush Couldn't make Docs today and moving house tomorrow so will be Wed but am definately going.

First maternity reflexology tonight, was heaven.

I'll shut up now.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 03/09/2012 21:23

We were DTD about once a week but DP prefers to face me in a kind of adapted missionary thing which just isn't possible now, bump is far too big! So it's been a couple of weeks Sad

MissMummy1 · 03/09/2012 21:27

We haven't DTD for months. Spent first 3 months throwing up solidly, the next 3 fending off a v horny DH as I just wasn't in the mood and the last couple of weeks practically begging for it. Sods law he's now freaked out it could in some way damage junior and "doesn't want to be kicked in the moment". So basically I now have horny hormones but a noncompliant man. Fab...

WaitingForMe · 03/09/2012 21:29

Fish as a vegetarian option is absurd.

DTD is not nice at all. I feel weird and swollen down there and it's a bit sore. Still doing it periodically as I like the closeness. Also, a lack of sex was a factor in the breakdown of both DH and I's first marriages and I see it as taking one for the team (terribly unMumsnetty I know).

Did pregnancy yoga tonight and hated it. Hard floor and at night when I could be on a comfy sofa. Couldn't do half of the floor stuff due to PGP. But the teacher was lovely and when I said which moves had helped a bit she went over them in more depth with me so I can do them at home. There's one where you scoop your pelvis. With my bump it's the exact opposite of a Pussycat Doll shimmy in terms of sexiness Grin

horseylady · 03/09/2012 22:05

There's milk coming out one of my boobs!!!!!!! Omg!!!!!!

blonderthanred · 03/09/2012 22:37

Wow horsey! That's exciting! Were you in the bath or anything? Or did it just happen?

TheDetective · 03/09/2012 22:38

I quite like knowing it does Horsey! I dribbled some deliberately on DP last night. I don't think he was amused. I said, now you know how I feel when you dribble on me.... Blush eww!

Evilwater · 04/09/2012 05:57

Wow horsey!

Right it's off to work I go, after a week off. This will be my last early shift, and then I have three night shifts at the end of the week.

Evil

Passmethecrisps · 04/09/2012 07:23

Did it just dribble out horsey? I am making a bit of colostrum but it only comes out if I squeeze my boobs. Exciting though!

horseylady · 04/09/2012 07:31

One boob only was about to get in the bath and was like what??!! Squuezed really gently and out it came!! In the horse/pig world it generally means arrival is immenent! Assume it's different for humans?

Had good sleep!! Eating earlier def the way forward!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/09/2012 07:45

horsey wow! I don't think birth is imminent though I had leaky boobs with ds for quite a few weeks before he was born.

tits if your dp likes to face you, you could go on top?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 04/09/2012 08:39

I don't think I could manage the erm movement with my dodgey hip, i can't imagine it would be all that hilarious if I got stuck mid action Grin

Tired today, no idea where baby is this morning (position wise) but my bump is slightly more podgey rather than looking stretched so I'm assuming he's retreated to the back a bit, still feels high though.

I've got to work out the cheapest way to do party bags for 20 kids now. Will just be cake, sweets and some tiny toy of some kind, they can't hold it against me in my condition right? Confused

ValiumQueen · 04/09/2012 09:20

tits pin a picture of yourself to your back Grin. Seriously though, there are many ways to skin a cat. Very sweet he likes to face you though. As for party bags, so long as there is cake, sweets and an annoying blowy whistle thing they will be more than happy.
