Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

Well the doctor was very lovely, and is going to get me an early scan, and also earlier appointments, so that's all good. Now just concentrate on keeping this one going...

HC - my due date is the 4th, at least according to me - the dr didn't seem very concerned about it! And I'm starting to get the heartburn too, most unpleasant!

cece · 03/03/2006 18:05

got a scan date for April 19th today and booking in the week after.

MeAndMyBoy · 04/03/2006 08:07

Morning everyone,

Oh my goodness so many new people how excited, congratulations and welcome to everyone.

Just a quick one cause I just wanted to check on HopingCat to see what the doc's had said for you.

I'll do a proper catch up later have a couple of things we need to do this morning.

Take care
H x

morning

mower · 04/03/2006 08:35

Morning everyone. Went to a&e about bleeding after bfp yesterday. They took blood and have booked me in for a scan mon or tues next week. They have also ruled out etopic from my blood results and from internal. Stopped bleeding now and feeling nice and sick again so am trying not to get too optimistic, but things are looking more hopeful. Hope everyone else is well.

cece · 04/03/2006 08:43

that is good news then Mower. Fingers crossed for your scan

twocatsonthebed · 04/03/2006 08:48

morning everyone - how's it going?

mower - that's great news!

spod · 04/03/2006 10:05

HI all....
Mower thats great news, what did they do exactly, I noticed I started a light bleed today, trying to stay positive, but dont think theres much they can do for me as I'm only 4+2 weeks preg, you're a bit further on i think?

spod · 04/03/2006 10:16

you still around mower?

spod · 04/03/2006 10:32

spod · 04/03/2006 10:32

maybe catch you later

laughalot · 04/03/2006 10:35

Spod just hought i would try and put ur mind at ease a little bit im not pg at the minute got a little ds who is 19 months had a bleed with him at 5 weeks just contacted gp who refered me to early pregnancy unit for a internal and blood samples, dont panic just take it easy and ring gp.

spod · 04/03/2006 11:14

thanks, I'll see how the weekend goes i guess

mower · 04/03/2006 11:14

Sorry spod went out to buy veggies. They said slight bleed is normal with cramps in pregnancy. I was 4 weeks plus 3 days when I bleed, maybe that is common around that time. I was worried as I didn't bleed with 1st pregnancy so when I went to a & e. They took blood to check blood count, did preg test, and an internal to see if I was preg, and yes I am. They are referring me for scan as I have had cramps with bleeding.

I am sure you are ok spod. Am thinking that this must be very common now in pregnancy and I must have over reacted a bit, but to be honest am still not getting my hopes up till had scan, in my head I still think there is something quite not right maybe and I think a womans instints are quite strong.

spod · 04/03/2006 12:16

thanks mower. I am 4+2 i think so same as when yours stared really. I phoned the epu and spoke to a doctor, and she said theres no point going in as its too early to do anything but bloods. She said only to worry if bleeding is heavier or if i get pain. I do have cramps/aches, but i know thats normal, as theres so much changing in there. I got cramps with 1st preg also. I bled in 1st preg but not until around 6 weeks... Doc said it could be an implatation bleed. You're right, it is so common, a friend had this a few weeks ago too, and shes fine. hope you're ok, let me know how things go for you. xx

mower · 04/03/2006 12:30

Thanks spod, i'm just trying to get on with things as normal and keeping myself busy. Just said a little prayer that your baby is ok too. Keep me updated.

spod · 04/03/2006 12:32

thanks mower, thats very kind. hers hoping that we're both ok. I feel sick again today, so its a good sign

Debbsy · 04/03/2006 17:35

mower spod how are you both doing?/

spod · 04/03/2006 17:48

i just posted on theother one debsy, I think all is well here, bleeding is hardly noticable at the moment, so hopefully it has passed. Have cravings, tingly boobs and feel sick so thats good! will just try to ignore it and see what happens. re: the cream, I have been using it for couple of days, could it have caused an irritation that caused the bleed?

Debbsy · 04/03/2006 17:59

oh good, yes possibly please dont use it anymore consult your gp first :)

CattyB · 04/03/2006 18:03

Hi there,

Just 6 weeks into pg no4 making it due late October . Unexpected as youngest ds only 8 mo (think I'd have known better by nowSmile). Other two ds are almost 6 and 4 yo. Congrats to everyone else and looking forward to sharing this pg with you all. I've been fairly lucky and have had 3 previous homebirths, the last 2 being waterbirths, hope this one is straight forward too.

The best of health to everyone!

spinach · 04/03/2006 19:52

debbsy thanks for your advice on canesten, have stopped using it. had to change my name in case you're confused!

AussieinLondon · 04/03/2006 20:39

CattyB - would love to hear about your homebirths. I am contemplating it for this baby, even though it will be an attempted VBAC. Just can't face the hospital again, but if I have to I have to I guess.

How is everyone? Still no real symptoms for me except bigger boobs!

AussieinLondon · 04/03/2006 20:40

nyone know why Spod has withdrawn her messages? Have I missed something? Spod - hope you are ok.

cece · 04/03/2006 21:05

Not sure but a message on another thread by spod has also been withdrawn.

Hope she is Ok
