Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

Hi Olivo,

Thanks for the best wishes. Hope things are going well for you.

AussieinLondon · 26/02/2006 20:23

I am also due in November - around the 6th I think. I have a 9 month old dd so the news I was pregnant came as a bit of a shock! There will be less than 18 months between them.

I had a very difficult labour and delivery for dd which ended in a c-section under general anaesthetic. Hoping things go a little smoother this time.

MeAndMyBoy · 26/02/2006 20:57

Hi Aussieinlondon, Congratualations.

Welcome to the thread of the 3 of us lol.

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a hard time with DD labour and delivery. I would guess that it's playing on your mind a little? I ended up having a bloody transfusion after DS and I am anxious to try and prevent that happening again. No where near your experience, but I can sympathise. Probably a bit soon yet, but do you think you'll consider an elective C-section this time?

Mummy2Toby · 26/02/2006 21:18

Hi Aussieinlondon,
It's good that the number are going up here now - well 3 of us
Sorry to hear about your experience last time, but maybe it will be easier for you this time - especially as it is so soon after - your body will know what to do this time
Have either of you booked in at the dr's yet?

I am going on Wednesday, I know that they don't really do anything but at least it feels more real - I am really anxious for my scan, I can't remember being like this last time but my dh reminded me that we paid £110 for an 8 week scan - so I must have been

Yes I am pretty anxious about this birth. I am thinking of hiring an independent midwife as I found the whole NHS experience pretty depressing (and distressing). I would love to have a VBAC, mainly because I found the recovery from the c-section very hard and with an 18 month old it would be even harder I imagine as she'll still need lifting and cuddles etc. DH is very keen for me to have a c-section as he was traumatised by the last birth as well. I don't have to decide now I guess.

Haven't booked in to GP yet but will do today. We have only told family so far so it's nice to talk to people about it. 12 weeks seems so far away....

trace2 · 27/02/2006 08:23

congrats to you all
MeAndMyBoy, you didnt tell us on feb thread

HopingCat · 27/02/2006 09:12

Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been ttc for 2 months and got my BFP on Thursday, but only really believed it when I'd done tests on Saturday and Monday too! Think I'll be due early November. Not sure I've taken it in yet. It seems so unreal as I don't seem to have any obvious symptoms, other than feeling like af is about to start.
