ParsleyLion1 -Glad he is back my old dog when I was growing up was very scared of fireworks, Luckily our present cat doesn't like them but doesn't go berserk either.

As for grow bags I picked 2 in the baby sale there are several on slae so just need to look. We have a cold bedroom due to badly sealed windows so our baby with be wearing a vest and baby grow plus the grobag. We have used them for 3/4 kids when they were little.

Nanny01 · 05/11/2011 19:38

Have been poorly overnight very acide and threw up then ate little today as felt I was going to be sick plus had a headache. Just trying to get the kids fed and get them to bed before I can put myself to bed.

addictediam · 05/11/2011 19:56

WE PAINT ON THE WALLS!! Grin I'm so excited. Ok so its not the right colour but after 4 weeks of sorting the mess the previous owners made of decorating the end is finally in sight! All we have left to do is paint (in the right colour) put in skirting board and carpet, then my favorite job of buying curtains, lamp shades and bedding :).

Then we have to start all over again in the babys room :( just 2 months to get it all finished!!

Nanny hope you feel better soon.

SlightlyScrambled · 05/11/2011 19:57

Gah! I jinxed myself the other day, posting about heartburn not yet rearing its ugly head. Serves me right!

Hope you feel better soon Nanny.

ParsleyLion1 · 05/11/2011 20:09

I'm also very acidy the last couple of days. I get acid in my throat when I'm hungry and burp up acid sick when I'm full. Bleurgh.

Hope we all feel better soon.

Nanny01 · 05/11/2011 21:18

My mouth is soar and now fear what I had in my last pregnancy oral thrush. Really miserable tonight as I have a blood test book for Monday but know it will be almost impossible to get a doctors appointment at the same time.

Oeisha · 05/11/2011 22:39

to parsley and nanny and anyone else needing hugs.

parsley also glad your furbaby's back. Grin

The ELCS discussion's gone a bit BSM. I'm now being accused of wanting women who've had traumatising births (including one who's LO died) to be forced to have VBs...serously, I've tried asking the woman to re-read what I've written. Others have tried kindly pointing out that's not what I said at all, I have in fact said exactly the opposite, repeatedly, but the woman's got issues and won't listen to reason...so, well, I'm not going to be responding to her again any time soon.

Thanks for all the sleepbag advice guys. Think I'm gonna go for 2.5 or 1 tog for now and see how it goes with layering Abi. Found some on ebay that were being so cheaply auctioned that if they turn out to be pants, then, well, no harm.

I'd better go to bed. My last ling Sunday tomorrow. Lets see if they allow me to do anything tomorrow. I was banished to a till Friday for no apparent reason whatsoever...still, only got to get through 'til Friday without losing my temper.

ParsleyLion1 · 06/11/2011 10:20

Not long to go oeisha. Smile

We had 2 more escaping incidents overnight. One from the front door when OH came in so I had to untape the flap til he came back in. Then in the middle of the night he cut through the tape. I discovered the escape at 4 am - he'd cut a hope big enough to get out but effectively locked himself out!

At least next year we can shut the flap properly. It's just a bit makeshift because of the builders at the mo.

Feeling a bit better this morning and unpacking boxes.

ParsleyLion1 · 06/11/2011 10:21

That should say hole not hope. Blush

addictediam · 06/11/2011 10:24

oeisha some people are just out for a fight. ignore them.

parsley glad to hear you are unpaking boxes, normality is almost restored!!

redheadbedhead · 06/11/2011 10:35

hello everyone, hope you're all ok this morning. sorry to hear about stresses and strains and hospital visits and frightened animals and stupid batshit mental people on MN forums!

my kitten had her first fireworks and didn't even notice, so I'm super glad about that. in fact she was asleep the whole time by the look of it.

we went to a RUBBISH fireworks display near us because I was feeling too tired and pregnant to go the one i normally go to further away. it started nearly half an hour late so by the time it began I didn't want to be there any more, and then i nearly got crushed in the rush to get out! had to go and sit in the st johns ambulance until everyone had left!

really don't want to take my children to that kind of display - i wish there were ones like i had when i was little - massive bonfire in the village that we all helped build, everyone you knew locally pitching in with homemade guys/chestnuts/fireworks/food..... aaah the good old days......

do bonfires still exist? are they illegal now?

addicted i am feeling as excited as you about having paint on the walls finally, and also we got our carpets in the lounge and bedroom on Friday, and suddenly the flat is starting to look almost normal and less like a weirdos hideout! It's suddenly all clean and fresh looking. amazing.

now let's see....now just got to do some shelves, get some curtains, clear the nursery, put up the nursery furniture and curtains, paint the chair and photoframes and weird fireplace cover, clear the rubbish from back room, do the carpet in there, put the bookcases up, unpack all the storage.......

phew Shock

ParsleyLion1 · 06/11/2011 12:14

Well done on the DIY scores addicted and red. Don't overdo it though. The box unpacking is going ok. Currently on an enforced break as OH is really lazy and needs to stop every hour for an hour! It's probably for the best but I just want to get finished.

redheadbedhead · 06/11/2011 12:59

my OH is exactly the same, no stamina!!

trubble · 06/11/2011 13:19

Absolutely knackered now. Don't recommend gastroenteritis at 31 weeks. Not at any point really but OMG how much pain :-( DH was a trooper and headed down to the hosp at 3am with me. Have just been discharged. Fortunately jnr seems to be ok but I feel like I've gone through a wringer.
Think I shall take a me day tomorrow to fully recover

redheadbedhead · 06/11/2011 13:22

oh god trubble that's shite. hope you feel better soon.

Brownwolf · 06/11/2011 13:26

trubble get well wishes, sounds awful, hope you can get some rest today.

ParsleyLion1 · 06/11/2011 15:20

Poor you trubble that sounds really shitty. Sad definitely take the day tomorrow to recover otherwise you'll just take longer to get better.

fishandlilacs · 06/11/2011 17:25

trubble thats awful-bless you. I hope you make good recovery now. Get some vitamins or tonic of some sort to pick you up-you're already depleted what with being pregerant. Take care xx

ghosteditor · 06/11/2011 18:25

Oh trubble, that's not good news! Hope you feel better soon, and make sure you get plenty of vitamins and rest this week.

ghosteditor · 06/11/2011 18:31

Redhead, we went to fireworks too, but the big one in the city. DH and SIL went on one of the big fairground rides, which looked like fun. The fireworks were pretty spectacular, but they were almost 45 mins late getting started and I really struggled to stand still for that long (having arrived early). Was pretty uncomfortable by the time the fireworks were over, so we missed the lighting of the bonfire and the wicker man as DH whisked me off for some food and a much needed sit down. Fortunately my cats aren't remotely fussed by fireworks so we didn't have to worry about them.

My news for the day - finally won a maternity coat bid on eBay so I won't have to freeze for the next few months! A bit Hmm though as it will cost me only £3 less than the one that debenhams cancelled my order for, and that one was at least new!

Oeisha · 06/11/2011 20:01

trubble Def. rest and be fully recovered before throwing yourself back in.

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Last Sunday over with (for a while). Very pleased, but I am going to miss my team. They're a lovely bunch (when they're all there!). Usualy levels of crap to deal with, but I did at least have cover on the other section I can, but am not meant to run on a Sun, leaving 2 of us to deal with it!

I'm currently braless (I'll pay for it in an hour or so) and Abi's bashing the shite out of me where my boob's resting (thankfully only the one). Bless her. She'll be glad of their emenseness when she comes out (haivng had scans etc on them before the sonographer was "humm, not much fat in them, you're babies will be lucky babies!", they wouldn't give me a mamogram for some reason).

My jacket pot's fonally ready. TTYL...

shonnomanom · 06/11/2011 20:22

Oh trubble hope you get plenty of rest and feel better soon x

Had a crappy weekend thanks to dd's behaviour. It's like jekyll & Hyde with her just now. Think its a mixture of her age and pre-baby. Although she's always been positive about the baby. Today she was telling us how her best friend was still in my tummy and that she was going to be a big sister soon.
Yesterday she spent the whole day either crying or shouting and throwing things . I'm not handling her mood swings very well, especially as iv been so uncomfortable with pgp and heartburn.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
32weeks today and last week at work - woohoo

Ah! That the other thing I wanted to say and one word really sums it up:

Caulibottom.

Eating mroe fibre, drinking more, all the usual stuff, but no no avail. Prep. H going on and bathing with the bath salts. They're getting 'worse' as in bigger, and there's some bleeding. Still no pain, itching or anything else much, they're just THERE. Anyone got any other ideas? Will be mentioning it to MW at 31wks porodding.

Oiesha sorry to hear of your "frilly" bottom. Not pleasant. Have you tried aloe vera? You can drink the drink to help ease digestion and put the gel up yer bum and round it to soothe the bumpy bits.

I don't have piles (yet) so this is a symptom I have dodged sharing with you, but I do have a fissure which isn't causing me any issues other than a little bit of blood.

Everyone seems to have hit that third trimester wall-I am incredibly envious of anyone who is finishing work soon or already has. I wish i could finish this week, but I jhave 4 more weeks to go including this one and that will go bloody quickly i'm sure. I am not even thinking about the amount of work I need to do in that time in order to actually finish the contract but I can't seem to get myself motivated in the slightest outside of teaching hours.

Not long now hey girls-soon we'll be sniffing newborn heads, snuggling, bonding, falling into great big deep wells of love...... and bemoaning sleepless nights, discussing in details of poo and sick in more detail than you have ever imagined. :)
