Hi every one just given my self heartburn now as I have to eat 2 crossants, 3 table spoons of jam and orange juice for my gt test this morning. I really don't do breakfast this early and the orange juice is pure acid for me.

Hope truble is ok not nice to get that sick when pregnant.

I hae had to deal with 2 stroppy dd's who blame me for all the ills of the world. I will go back to bed at 11 after I have been to the doctors.

To top the morning off got ds2 late to school they let 1 boy in then saw my ds and said we were to late and would hae to go through the office. Ds saw the other boy go him and was very upset, stupid teacher. We aren't late ever.

fishandlilacs · 07/11/2011 09:56

nanny Thats a bit different from the way they do a GTT in our area and I think it's better than having to fast from the night before then down a pint of original lucozade on an empty stomach which is fizzy, acidic and bright toxic orange! Then sit for 3 hours before you can eat. I prefer the croissants and jam! :)

miamama09 · 07/11/2011 10:00

Shock it's freaking me out a bit that some of you are 32 weeks already! when I read 32 weeks, I read 'almost there', argh that's means I'm going to be there soon too!

btw, does anyone know the symptoms of group b strep, or is it pretty much thrush-like, so hard to diagnose without a swab?

fishandlilacs · 07/11/2011 10:08

mia yup i turn 32 weeks this week-i'm shittin meself tbh, but also cannot wait. The fed-upness is outweighing the fear.

right I must get off this forum and do some work!

GiraffeAHolic · 07/11/2011 10:11

Argh 32 weeks today, and I am nowhere near ready for this baby, physically nor mentally. The nursery furniture is at least constructed but that is it.

I had to sit up all night due to acid reflux, got about 2 hours sleep and a crick in the neck :( followed by ten minutes of vomiting this morning. I am not a happy bunny today.

addictediam · 07/11/2011 10:11

Mummyzoe, just wondering how your doing, if you're lurking let us know how its going.

Mia I know what you mean, I think I'm the last on the list and only 27 weeks, so its quite scary seeing 32 weeks as that's when I'm ok to give birth! [scared!]

shonnomanom · 07/11/2011 10:12

Morning ladies!

Oh fish you just brought a tear to my eye! Pregnancy hormones on overload!!

oiesha My sister had really bad 'farmer giles' in her last pregnancy. She was given an ointment and had a few sessions of removal whilst pregnant. Hope you and others suffering get some comfort soon.

wombat I would be raging if I was your neighbour, the poor woman. Glad your feeling better yourself.

Spoke to Dd's nursery this morning about her behaviour. They were shocked to hear about her behaviour at home. Apparently she has been her normal happy friendly self at nursery which is good.
Im aching all over this morning Sad

Interestingly my local MW was walking her dd to nursery at the same time as us this morning and started asking how I was keeping. She asked when my next mw appointment is (34/40) and if I had been refered to the consultant yet regarding the PGP and the birth......

Yip the 32weeks has been causing DP to freak out this week and it turns out he is really concerned about the birth, where as my biggest concern right now is the state of the house and how unready it is for the baby.

Wishing everyone a pleasant week x

redheadbedhead · 07/11/2011 10:51

eeeek i can't believe some of you are 32 weeks!!!! amazing. i also can't wait to see who pops first and read some birth stories. hope we all have nice ones fx. i am 29 wks today but feeling so tired all the time and have a total week from hell working hard every day (which as a freelancer doesn't happen much in a recession!!) making a bit of nice money before i stop work altogether in 4 weeks though thank god.

shon, fish made me cry too, you're not the only one with stupid rabid hormones!!!

giraffe look after yourself today, are you allowed a duvet day watching nice films or do you have to do stuff?

my indigestion has ramped up in the last week and the piglet seems to be getting hiccups all the time now, in fact RIGHT now. wonder if the two things are related? i guess not. Still can't tell which way up he is most of the time, even though bits of him keep sticking out of my belly!

fishandlilacs · 07/11/2011 10:53

Shonno & red sorry, didn't mean to set you off :) Now i'm choking back a lump thinking of you getting sentimental over my post! What are we like!

redheadbedhead · 07/11/2011 11:14

ha ha!!! Grin

addictediam · 07/11/2011 11:17

Red dd had hiccups all the time during pg, and i had constant indegestion or trapped wind, it wasn't fun! But this time I've had neither and bump hasn't had any hiccups Confused

Dd's not well today :( she was up at 4.30, crying and whineing at 6.30 she did a massive constipated poo followed by squirty out throw her in the bath all over her baby gro, vest and our bed diarrhea poo, then she fell asleep while getting her dressed. We thought that was it, she was just bunged up. But she woke at 8 and has been being not just alittle bit, all over the floor, forget the muslins I need a towel or 2 sick ever since!

(just thought I'd share and get the poo and sick talk started early! :o)

Fryn · 07/11/2011 11:34

Oh addicted your poor little one! Hope she's better soon. And yes, I sort of glossed over fish's sniffing newborn heads bit, and started nodding sagely at the sick/poo bit instead!

red I hadn't realised you're only a week ahead of me! At least I'll know who I'm up against in the run for the homebirth! Spoke to my MW about it again, and she said they'd do what they can but the hint being "fat chance". I wouldn't mind if they were just open about it - I can deal with giving birth in hospital if I know that's the only choice (and so long as I can disharge myself asap), but to prepare myself for a homebirth to then have my hopes dashed on the day would not be ideal. Ah well, let's see what she says next time we talk about it.

oiesha - eugh, I feel for you. I had really bad piles after having DD, and the only thing that sorted them out was a good dose of lactulose and anusol, but I have no idea if the latter is an option in pregnancy.

trubble - hope you're feeling better. What a rotten thing to go through - make sure you get lots of r&r.

giraffe hope you're feeling better too!

What a rotten time everyone's having!

I had my 28 week appointment today, and G2 is measuring 4cm small, and of course the "soon as possible" growth scan the MW requested isn't for another 3 weeks. On the plus side, we'll get to see G2 again - yay! . And I have leukocytes in my wee again - maybe it's just down to this stupid 3 week cold rather than anything else. Ho hum.

Hope everyone else is ok!

GiraffeAHolic · 07/11/2011 11:40

A duvet day sounds wonderful but no, I've done the nursery run, washed up, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, hoovered right through, done a load of washing. Still got to put laundry away, pick up dd, take library books back and pick up prescription and sort dinner

I'll just keep going, it's what everyone expects after all :(

Hope everyone is feeling perkier, we had to pick the miserablest time of year didn't we!

Oh and Anusol says it's ok during pregnancy, it better bloody work :)

mummyzoe2012 · 07/11/2011 12:55

hiya all, im having a relaxing day today, had more bleeding over the weekend. was awake all night with lower abdo pains. just feel spaced out and got a thumping head ache, will see how i feel when dp gets in if i still feel the same ill get him to take me to the assesment centre. dnt think i could face driving.

Brownwolf · 07/11/2011 13:50

hugs MZ try and rest and if too worried before dp gets in chuck yourself in a taxi. Sitting at home feeling ill and stressed is no good. Will be thinking of you x

Fryn · 07/11/2011 16:03

mummyzoe - you poor thing. I hope you're ok. And as brown says, if you're worried hop (stumble/stagger/crawl) into a taxi and take yourself in. Although lying on the sofa resting might be preferable to the hospital! See you how you feel.

shonnomanom · 07/11/2011 16:12

Hope everything ok mz
fryn how was dc1 for size at birth? At least you get to see bubba again
addicted hope your Lo is feeling better

Just enjoyed a cuppa soup whilst watching despicable me at work, perks of the job x

OP posts:
fishandlilacs · 07/11/2011 16:44

Let us know how it goes MZ-what time is DH home?

Oeisha · 07/11/2011 17:19

Oh no MZ! If it's any help, and DH isn't home yet then when I last had a viscious headache with flashing lights triage were all up for caling me an ambulance as they were that worried about pre-eclampsia, so if in doubt, dial 999. FX for you.
First antenatal tonight, so I'll update properlt after that.
TTYLxxx

Fryn · 07/11/2011 17:24

shonno I was craving a cuppa soup earlier - is it worth going out and getting a packet?? DD1 was 7lbs 8, so the MW didn't seem too worried about this one based on that. I'm more worried that all the weight I've put on so far is all me on me, rather than much on the baby!

ParsleyLion1 · 07/11/2011 17:51

Hope you're feeling better mz I'm sure the lack of sleep doesn't help. Fx for you xx

I've had to fly to Luxembourg for meetings tomorrow. V uncomfortable to fly tbh. Glad it was only an hour. Got thoroughly booted during take off and landing!

Made myself a drs appt for tomorrow evening. Am convinced I have cystitis and or thrush. We've also been told that somebody in the office has viral meningitis so if I have fever or headache have to rush myself off sharpish Shock.

Is anybody else feeling nauseous and having trapped wind every time they eat ? Thought it was heartburn but doesn't seem to be cured by gaviscon.

shonnomanom · 07/11/2011 17:55

Yes fryn it was worth it. Warmed me up a treat as well
Sorry parsley Iv been the opposite where wind is concerned Blush

OP posts:
fishandlilacs · 07/11/2011 18:02

parsley I have been sick this morning-weird random sickness just like morning sickness, didn't really feel ill just barfed. No trapped wind though. My dry "reflux" cough seems to be improving though-not sure if it was reflux or just a lingering cold now or is it that i have been taking gaviscon consistently for a few days now so that has improved things.

I am craving protein like mad, meat fish, eggs and god do I want liver right now. Just ate a huge bowl of stew and dumplings- I ate 4 dumplings Blush so if i'm going to get heasrtburn it will be tonight.

ParsleyLion1 · 07/11/2011 18:16

Yes it is a bit like morning sickness fish same as I had first trimester when I'd eaten too much. Maybe it's a warning to decrease my portion sizing. Blush

mummyzoe2012 · 07/11/2011 18:19

things have taken a little turn for the worst, sickness is back with revengaance, also the blood in it is back also. will again see how it gose and if still feeling bad in the morning i will defo be going in.
