Hello ladies ? bit nerve wracking moving over to ante natal but thought I?d be brave! Here?s to a trouble free 8 or so months for us all! And hoping lots more of us move over very soon.

Step away from your thermometers ladies. That way madness lies.

Sits back. Feels a bit lonely. Waits for others.

Grin I am watching my stomach go ping every time littl'un kicks. Tis lovely!

bessie26 · 24/04/2011 19:51

Hello ladies, just popped in to let you know DD2 arrived on Thursday morning! 6 days overdue & 8lb 12oz Shock

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your pregnancies & perhaps I'll see you back on the charting thread in a year or so? Wink

spilttheteaagain · 24/04/2011 21:57

A year bessie?!

Massive congratulations on your baby girl Grin. How was the birth?

LadyGoneGaga · 24/04/2011 23:26

Great news on scan, Terrys.

Happy Easter to everyone. Have been having a lovely weekend in the sunshine despite sad times. Hope Nix had fun at the beach.

I love watching my belly move, Spilt. Is bizarre though!

Congratulations on your little girl, Bessie. Grin What did you call her?

bessie26 · 25/04/2011 00:44

DD2 is Victoria. The birth was very different to her sister's (6 weeks early & weighing 5lb 2oz) but I was able to stay mobile for most of it & managed with just my TENS machine & breathing techniques.

TBH I suspect this will be our last Sad As much as DH & I have talked about how nice it would be to have 3, there is a big difference between having 2 & 3 (house, car, holidays etc) and as we're both 38 we would have to get cracking on it soon! (we started TTC #2 when DD was 6 months old & she is now 2.5)) But I'm not completely ruling it out yet!! Wink

spilttheteaagain · 25/04/2011 21:09

Lovely, timeless name, and it sounds like a really good birth. Enjoy her Smile

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/04/2011 11:14

Just had 20 week scan! All is fine, healthy and well - hurrah!

Baby held its toes at one point which was really cute. Also stretched its legs out really long and DH said "blimey can you feel that?" Errrr - yes!

Smile

I am happy.

But DD has just broken out in chicken pox. So am house bound. Pants.

LadyGoneGaga · 26/04/2011 11:59

Wow, half way Getdown. Did you find out the sex? I'm thinking girl but don't know why!

Boo to the pox though. You poor thing - don't you have to exclude them from everything for ages?

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/04/2011 12:06

It's going to be a surprise this time LadyG Grin

It was lovely to see though, as usual I have been freaking out when I don't feel anything for more than half a day, but seeing the little on in there wriggling about loads and not feeling anything just reassures me that there are a lot of movements you just can't feel!

The placenta is posterior and well away from the cervix so that is good (although I was secretly hoping it would be low so I could have an excuse for an ELCS Blush, but there we go).

Yes the chicken pox is a bit of a pain. I've had to cancel all my plans for this week. We were lucky that a neighbour stepped in to have DD this morning, otherwise DH wouldn't have been able to be at the scan. Obviously taking a poxed child to a waiting room full of pregnant ladies is a big "no-no"!!

I've got to try and find someone to have her on thursday now as I've got my first physio appt for my knackered pelvic floor Blush

Hope everyone else is doing well. Nice to "meet" some more of you on FB!

Hello everyone. Sorry to have been so absent from this thread, I have been a very busy lady!

First of all congrats to bessie on your baby girl!

And fab news about your scan getdown. 20 weeks already!

So I've had my 12 week scan now and it was amazing. Smile Baby measured 12+4 and I thought I was 12+3 so pretty much spot on. The only sad thing was that DH couldn't be there because it was on the same day as moving house! Not ideal but with the problems I had getting a scan date I had to take what I was given. Grrrrrr. My mum came with me instead so she was very happy.

I'm 14 weeks today and my sickness/tiredness has taken a turn for the worse this weekend, very weird. It was starting to subside which I was very pleased about but now, bleurgh.

Hope everyone else is good. I may have a snooze in my lunch hour......

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/04/2011 18:55

Are you booked into the Rosie, MrsP?

Sorry you are feeling rough.

Hopefully DH will be there at the 20 week scan, so he won't miss out. I think the 20 week one is the better one as you can see so much more.

Hope the house move went ok and things are settling down a bit.

spilttheteaagain · 26/04/2011 20:22

Fabulous news GetDown, I've just been admiring your scan photos. Sorry to hear your DD has the pox Sad, hope she mends quickly.

MrsP congratulations on your 12 weeker, such a shame your DH couldn't be there though.

I have just stuck a picture of my bump on my profile Smile. It has definitely overtaken my boobs now, though I seem to stick my arse out more as a counterweight!

I've been enjoying nosying at all your FB pictures - LadyG I love your cats! The kitten photos are just adorable!

spilttheteaagain · 26/04/2011 20:42

Wish I could breathe though Sad
I'm not sure if it is because my boobs have got bigger and heavier or because my lungs are being squashed a bit by displaced internal organs but it's a real effort to breathe when I'm sitting... lying down is wonderful relief! I might take myself off for an asthma check soon incase I need my inhaler dose adjusted.

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/04/2011 21:44

Nice bump pic spilt I like the way you've kept your anonymity! Smile

Know what you mean about struggling to breathe. Mine feels really tight around my ribs when I am sitting down, particularly leaning forward. I think good posture helps... I am terrible for slouching - DH keeps correcting me!

Good idea to get your asthma checked though. It's a horrible feeling to not be able to breathe deeply.

DD is asleep thank goodness. Hope she doesn't scratch herself to pieces in the night!

Morning all. Nice to make some new friends on fb.

Sorry to see you had a bad night with DD Getdown (think it's you - equating fb names with mn names is tricky!)

Great news about scans and progress. I remember feeling very breathless around 24 weeks with DD. I also remember struggling to get shoes and socks on towards then end plus terrible swollen ankles....oh can't wait....

I feel like the past few weeks are in slow motion. I got my first bfp on 9 March, but I'm not yet 11 weeks according to my scan. I reckon I'm almost 11 weeks. So glad I have a private nuchal scan in May. On the NHS I would have had nothing more until 20 week scan - I would like to know this baby is growing OK. As I am certain when we conceived, I am now worried it is growing slowly.

Anyway, hope everyone is looking forward to another long weekend!

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/04/2011 10:35

Try not to worry about the scan MrsA sounds like it is only a few days difference. There is a normal range of sizes anyway I think.

Glad you've got your nuchal scan in May - another chance to see the little one!

Is anyone tempted by getting one of those 4D scans? I always thought they were a bit self-indulgent , but now that I've had all my NHS scans I feel a bit sad that I won't see the baby again till the birth. And I'm actually quite tempted to get one!

Yes, it's my DD with the chicken pox. We had a terrible night Sad I think DD is trying to remind me what the newborn days are like Grin I put her in our bed this morning whilst I had a shower and she was asleep when I came out, and has been asleep for about an hour now. None of us got much sleep last night! Unfortunately I can't sleep during the day myself. Today is going to be a long day!

I checked with my mum and I definitely had chicken pox myself as a child. So I should be immune right? I couldn't help feeling panicky when DD was snuggling up to me last night with all her weeping blisters (sorry, gross I know). I am scared that in some way I will get it again and hurt the baby Sad

MrsP81 · 27/04/2011 13:18

Ooooooh, can I join in with being FB friends please?! What's the best way of doing it.....(not very good at such things).

House move was good thanks getdown, all settled in now. I am booked in at the Rosie but there is still one problem that I need to sort and that is that nobody has taken any blood from me! (Apart from at my nuchal scan). I've got caught between two systems so need to sort that out ASAP.

Fairly certain that once you've had chicken pox then you're unlikely to catch it again. Everything is such a worry though!

nickstermum · 28/04/2011 20:51

Lady Fab news on nearly 28 weeks x
Spilt - yey for your announcement, but i did well up seeing your baby footprint. Well done xx

Getdown - hopefully miniGD is better now and that you are getting some sleep x There is an immunity blood test your GP can do if you are worried :)

MrsA am sure its all growing fine x private scans arent that expensive at 16 weeks etc... maybe you could do that? and yes i would love to have a 4D scan GD but a bit skint atm... :(

Other than that all ok with MOI, week at the beach been wonderful :) heading back home with DH and DS tomorrow for a long weekend before the trudge starts up again. 25+4 today, still feeling lots of movement but still not as much as i wouldlike... due to position and placenta.

Hope everyone is good xxx

nickstermum · 28/04/2011 20:52

Also yey for the good scan news btw xxx

spilttheteaagain · 28/04/2011 21:52

GetDown did you manage to make your appointment today? Hope it was helpful, and hope your DD is starting to get better.

Thanks nix, no one seems to have bloody noticed my announcement. Dozy people! Still, my closer friends know already so it was really just a way to get the news out to the wider world for those that care/remember me.
Glad all is well with you and that you've had a good holiday.

We are innundated with house guests this weekend. 7 people for 2 days in a 2 bed house. Aaarghh!! What's worse is it was my idea Blush

MrsP81 · 29/04/2011 11:29

[csmile]

Hey everyone, just wanted to do a Royal smiley! Hope you all have good weekends. X

MrsP81 · 29/04/2011 11:42

I've found you all on FB now and sent friend requests - I'm Laura Page. X Thank you spilt.

GetDownYouWillFall · 29/04/2011 17:13

Thanks spilt yes I got to my appointment yesterday in the end, thanks to a lovely elderly lady who came in and watched my spotty DD! They both had a nice time which was good.

The appt was with the physio - re. my knackered pelvic floor from DD's birth. It was good, but I was quite horrified when she asked me to remove my jeans and pants so she could "feel inside" that I was doing my pelvic floor exercises correctly Shock Shock Shock. I had not tidied up down there before hand. Nor had I shaved my legs. Oh dear. Was slightly mortified.

Just have to do billions of pelvic floor exercises before next appt in 5 weeks time Angry If they had referred me 3 years ago when they should have done I could have actually had the electrical stimulation thing, but you can have that when you're pregnant, so it's the good ol' pelvic floor exercises instead Hmm Great.

Hi there MrsP have confirmed you on FB! Nice to meet you!

Hope you've all enjoyed the royal wedding today. DD and I actually went out for the first time in about a week - just to friends who have already had chicken pox. Felt like a breath of fresh air to get out!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 29/04/2011 17:14

mean't you CAN'T have the electrical stimulation whilst pregnant.
