yes..i thought the same re. initials..my dads are JAR which was made fun of and dp's are IMP..
if kids can make fun of tha tthem ars may not be a good idea..
this naming thing is a minefield really! you have to think about not jus the name but, making
fun of..initials , if it fits with surname etc. I have made up my mind but dp is unsure..guess we have a few weeks to figure it out though. One of our friends was called 'baby boo' until 16 weeks old as they hadn't decided..hehehe....

We've pretty much picked a name but we're not going to totally decide until the baby arrives. The names we chose are both family names, kind of. The first name is Rosamund because DH's mother and her sisters all have flower names and MIL's is Rosina so it's another 'rose' name. The second name is Rae which is my mother and sister's middle name. So Rosamund Rae and in Texas they can call her Rosie Rae! Very important to have a double name in Texas.

Other names still on the list are Matilda (though I keep hearing it when I'm out) and Theodora. You guys will be glad to hear that Maud has dropped off the list! It was our favourite for a long time.

Anyone else ready to share name ideas? Naming the baby is so much fun.

chacha..call customer services sounding a bit gnarly..they gave me loads of free points and the lady I spoke to was really nice..hhehe
was good compensation for the wait!

babyonboard · 28/09/2005 21:35

Yay..baby names! It's nice to share ideas and get some new ones maybe...!?
I like rosie..but best as a shortening from a longer name definitly..also matilda is great! reminds me of the book..and she was a smart one.hehhee
other girls names I love are sophia (which we had planned) eden, chloe, jasmine and heebie (a couple of which are flower names..)...
