PPM I dont mind carrying the thread on but I am being greedy - if anybody else wants to volunteer I will not be offended at all.

My nieces little girl has had an operation - Im still in the dark as to what has happened because my DN thinks she has already told me!!! Beth is off the ventilator, having help with a little oxygen but will remain in intensive care for at least a week. She is really doing well considering her multiple health problems.

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 06:36

Morning girls xx

travellingwilbury · 15/06/2010 06:48

Morning x

Good news about Beth Shabs , fingers crossed for an easy week for her x

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 07:11

Thanks TW - that little girl is such a fighter. I look at them and wonder what she is thinking? I am so proud of my niece and her lovely husband. Its thanks to them and there other 3 children that Beth is, despite her multiple health problems, such a strong little girl.

hazygirl · 15/06/2010 07:22

shabs,so glad to hear,Beth is doing ok, we will keep everything crossed.
sorry come on for a rant as feeling crap atm, dh had first procedure saturday, stayed off work with him but had to go in sunday, then sunday nite work rang,3 rang in sick so short , so i went in,left dh alone, it was busy as two staff down still, anyway one man not too good,so i sat and stroked his brow to relax him, then cried ,cos i should have been at home checking dh.
i came home and he was fine.he had cup of tea ready for me even, but felt shitty wife.
im pissed off with collegues ,pisssed off wth it all, but dh wont be getting much wage and i cant afford to get behind .
im also here to tell you all my dd2,is pregnant, due in december , so please hold my hand, i feel so over wrought atm, thanks girls for always been here for me.

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 07:26

OMG Hazy lots on 'your plate' at the moment. Congratulations on another precious granbaby. Is your DD happy about it?

Well done you for working so hard - when we dont feel so good in ourselves its so difficult to keep plodding on isin't it? Always here for you - I hope you know that xxx

hazygirl · 15/06/2010 09:29

thanks shabs realy appreciate thatxxx

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 09:45

Is that you or your DH Hazy?? Im on water tablets and beta blockers for the rest of mine luckily, in one way, I get free prescriptions because we are on benefits BUT I hate being on benefits!

hazygirl · 15/06/2010 11:32

dh im fine just battling to lose lots of weight.
i know how hard benefits is,did it for a few years bloody hard.

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 11:43

Hate being on them...we have no way out of it though. Between us we worked for about 65 years until H had an accident at work. Mind you, having Lew every afternoon keeps us more than busy

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 15/06/2010 16:35

crumpette - how do you feel about starting the next thread? I don't think you have yet, so I thought I'd give you a nudge. If you don't, no problem, Shabs will sneak in

Great news about Beth Shabs

I know what you mean about birthday parties PPM. I can't bring myself to go to parties for C's peer's, it's too difficult. Although I actually took Mac to a party at the weekend and we both had a great time. I hope you are able to find some middle ground that feels comfortable for you.

crumpette · 15/06/2010 19:07

Thank you very much ILike for that nudge

HOwever I currently feeling too chicken to do it could I do it next time though please? I will think of something helpful to say by the end of the next thread, I promise

Am having a hiding under a rock and not coming out day..

frasers, glad you had a good break

PPM- I can't imagine having to do all that stuff and pretend I'm normal yet so well done you. I haven't taken DS to baby clinic since he was 5 weeks old [!!] he's fine, but I can't quite face all the well meaning people asking if he's my first and all the happy siblings aged 2.5 prancing about like L should be

shabs excellent news about Beth, hope she stays strong and gets out of there soon

hazy you have got a lot on your plate. Sorry you feel so torn and trapped. Congrats on second grandbaby due to arrive this year

NinaJane I imagine SA must be a pretty interesting place to live actually! As DP now officially jobless aside from plan a which is split up, have explored plan B which has involved him applying for job in Australia and also one in Cape Town! OK I confess, I applied, he was in the pub, but you never know!

crumpette · 15/06/2010 20:59

OK OK I have crawled out from my dark rock briefly and have made a new thread here

I nicked your sunflowers, PPM, because they are lovely, and in fact most of your thread title

hope that's OK

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 21:18

Have posted on our new thread. Glad we all have found each other.....have lit my candle in honour and with respect and love for all our children....irrespective of age or circumstances....also for our lost grandchildren and siblings. Thank God we all have each other xxxx

peterpansmum · 15/06/2010 23:09

Yayyyyyy Crumpette - Gregor's sunflowers are here to be shared just as his love was so you're welcome to spread them around wherever you like - just ask the bloody snails and slugs to stop eating the ones in my garden!! Thought I'd get the last word on this one. Thank you all for supporting me through what has been three of the worst months of my life.

shabbapinkfrog · 15/06/2010 23:16

ROFL sorry PPM - just re-read your post and you were having the last word - there's always one big gob wherever you go in life xxxxxx

peterpansmum · 16/06/2010 09:39

Well Shabs big gobs are all relative and i think i can stand up and be counted with the best of them Hee Hee! xxxx
