Oh Sassy I think a birthday cake is a brilliant, wonderful idea....also think there should be sweets on top and loads of icing - I always try to 'celebrate' my sons birthdays - what glorious days they were - looking at those sweet little bundles. I think that you are doing a really good job....ok every now and then we all fall backwards a few steps but you are doing really well xxxxx Your precious little girl would be so proud of you xx

hazygirl · 11/06/2010 14:49

My niece just sent me a message on Facebook. Just said 'Beth has had the operation and is coping well.' She must think she has told me about this operation and what its for but she hasn't - never mind my niece is keeping me up-dated and thats all I need. x

Hazy good luck for tomorrow to your DH - will be thinking about you xx

shabbapinkfrog · 11/06/2010 17:56

Oh Sassy - have just watched your beautiful video. Lew sat on my knee and at the end he said 'Not cry andma!' and he said 'awww andma lovely girl.'

He has watched it now about a dozen times. My eldest son just came to pick up Lew and he wanted his daddy to watch it again with him. Needless to say my 28 year old sat and sobbed.

What a fitting tribute to a precious daughter xxx

travellingwilbury · 11/06/2010 18:08

Thanks sassy i dont do hangovers though. Article for the inquest has been done and approved by myself lol. Little miss editor here hehe. The headline got to me a bit but its somthing that i instntly recognised as being relevant. Its online and be in print tomorrow.

peterpansmum · 11/06/2010 22:23

Lovely Sassy just lovely xx My DH took ages to be able to look at pics and still struggles sometimes however DS1 has a huge pic of him cuddling his wee brother at child level on his bedroom wall - his choice so DH had to deal with it!!

Love to Beth too xx

Hiya Shelley - am really sorry about the verdict. I sent articles to local papers following Gregor's walk but was also unprepared for how i'd feel seeing our information in print albeit in a positive light. Have now raised nearly £15k plus giftaid and local papers keen to run a follow-on article but i'm not up to it just now. Go easy on yourself tomorrow xx

Thats an amazing amount of money! Congrulations. I've contacted the paper to do a tribute article t the time and it was weird to see but i think it helped that i know what the article was going to say before it was printed or put online. It helps knowig one of the reporters, her turning up on thursday was luck. The article bout the fundrasing memorial event will go in another time so its in a more positive light.
The headline for this rticle is 'Biker fled from scene of fatal crash' It names the rider too which does seam very strange.

Sassy , I remember reading all those books too , I used to search everywhere for them . Some helped in that they just made me feel slightly less nuts and less alone . It is bound to have some affect on you looking through all those happy pics . It really is shite isn't it ?

I want to know what Shabs mum said
I am not a member of CF anymore . It was so helpful to me a few yrs ago but I felt I had to step back after a while .

I hope the wedding is going well Shelley .
Enjoy your Wilf free weekend Lottie .

Hazy , I hope you and your dh are doing well today xx

ppm , that is an amazing amount to have raised . My sil ran the London marathon a few yrs ago and raised 2500 for a childrens development centre that Harry used to go to . They built a really brilliant play thing on the wall and put up a wee plaque , it made me so sad but very proud .

Hi ladies

Hope you are all as OK as can be possible. I am going to move away from my grief for 2 minutes. With the possibility of being lynched online I must say first that I am very patriotic BUT how many of you agree with me that football is BORING and played by a bunch of overpaid divas ( if I am being polite) and by a bunch of overpaid t-ssers) if I say what I think. How many of you agree with me? I am prepared to be ignored for the forseeable future. I love reading all your blogs as I feel support from all of you. Only a mother can understand what we are all going through. I hope that in the future I can be of help to you all. I am not strong enough yet. xxx

Lavendes - I know what you mean, but, you dont have to try and help anybody on here - just keep coming on and having a nosey whenever you feel you want to. YES, even though I love football you are really right about underworked and overpaid LOL xx

lavandes · 12/06/2010 23:55

thanks Shabs I Just feel at the moment that I am taking and not giving but I hope that I will be of some help to others in the future as I am 58 and may have some wisdom to share. I feel so sorry for all these young mums who have had so much grief to endure, it breaks my heart. The football thing just gives me an excuse to get on my soapbox and rant, nobody usually takes any notice!!#

Also when my boys were kids no-one had a helmet so please do not feel guilty about that. xx
