Love, prayers and hugs for you, Beth and your family Shabs and of course a big squeeze for your gorgeous granbaby too xx

Bad day yesterday but better day today. Really benefitted from the counselling appt. A friend came round in the evening and gave me a lovely neck and shoulders massage. And a better nights sleep last night too.

How's everyone else doing? x

Dan just called at ours to collect some pressies for Lew....I think the poor little lad is all 'birthdayed out' he took one look at me and said 'Oh no andma, me go 'ome!!!' cheeky monkey!

Sassy I reckon you are doing well xxx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/06/2010 19:36

Sending lots of healing vibes to Beth xxx

Happy Birthday Lew Sounds like he had a lovely day.

Blimey, I feel knackered today, an early night for me I think.

shabbapinkfrog · 08/06/2010 22:17

My Dad just rang me!!!

He was verrrrrrry drunk - there's something really comical about a 77year old man who is drunk.

Conversation

Dad: I'm very, very, very proud of you.

Me: Why?

Dad: You have had nearly 30 years of hell....proper crap and you have come through it.

Me: Had to Dad - I had our Dan to think about and then our Tom.

Dad: Well I couldnt have done it, I really couldnt - proper proud of you love.

Me: Thank you Dad.

Then he went into a story all about when his Mum died. He had a very strict Dad but his Mum adored him....she was in her early 40's when he was born but she didn't even know she was pregnant Dad said nobody talked about things like that then. She went to the outside toilet and felt my Dad being born. Her two sisters (who didn't have any children) helped deliver him. Never heard my Dad cry before but he did talking about my Grandma Bella.

peterpansmum · 08/06/2010 22:51

I love my parents so much - I was a swine when I was a kid, and then as a teenager and beyond....BUT then I became a Mum and realised what I had been put on this Earth for.....and as for being a Gran - cant tell you how wonderful that is xxx

Shabs I've been thinking of Beth and my thoughts are with her-- I saw your post yesterday. Lewis sounds so adorable, shabs. Another birthday already!! You must be so proud

Sassy that's a real achievement actually. I still go food shopping and my head is a fuzz, I don't really buy any food. I have just ordered stuff from ocado (how lazy is that) and have realised I have not got a single meal despite spending rather a horrifying amount of money. Have got lots of wine though, some dried mango, and some asparagus. Oh and some feta cheese!!! What can I make out of that!?

Beth is still in intensive care on a ventilator - each time she starts having a fit she ends up on the same ward....and each time it takes that bit longer to recover.
