I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

TW - great title my friend.

and a beautiful poem.

xxxxxxxx

frasersmummy · 04/11/2009 11:03

shabs go get lewis!!!!

what a wonderful title tw.

right am intrigued by comments about name co-incidences

charleymouse · 04/11/2009 11:07

Oh TW lovely poem. I am sat here blubbing. At least I can blame pregnancy hormones.

Hope everyone is well. Just marking my slot as although I try to catch up always seem too pooped after I have read through and never manage to post.

Exactly 4 weeks until due date. Have been getting a little panicky that there is something wrong with this baby although no indications that there are. Just general paranoia I guess.

DS keeps running through who has been in my tummy and now says B poorly and died. He has also in the last week run up to Bs photo and pointed to him and said "my Brother B, poorly died" It breaks my heart.

travellingwilbury · 04/11/2009 11:17

charleymouse it is so hard when siblings start to "get " it . I know when Jamie started asking about Harry and talking about him I found it really hard . But now I find it lovely that he wants to know about him and it is always a good thing for another person to know how special he was .

I can't believe you have only got 4 more weeks to go , I am sure it feels a lot slower to you .

shabbapinkfrog · 04/11/2009 11:21

Im back with Hurricane Lewis!! Charley - 4 WEEKS - OMG that is brilliant - well done you.

shabbapinkfrog · 04/11/2009 11:22

FMammy - Shelley got the last post on our last thread - there is a massive coincidence in names

shelleylou · 04/11/2009 12:02

there is indeed, especially with one of them

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/11/2009 13:37

Welcome Shelley So sorry to hear about your brother.

Thanks for starting the new thread TW. The poem is beautiful and correct. I KNOW I will C again some day.

Only 4 weeks Charley, how very exciting for you.

shelleylou · 04/11/2009 13:40

Thanks.
The poem is lovely. I can only think of one which keeps going round my head not as correct in general. Only really is for db

frasersmummy · 04/11/2009 17:45

oh my god I am sooo angry at my mum

I told her today about the hard time I had earlier in the week and she advised me to put Fraser to the back of my head and not think about him as much

sorry for the language but wtf??

I said how can I forget.. dont forget she says .. just dont think about him. How can I not think of him he's my son.. he will always be missing from my family

and she says ... I still cant believe my own mother said this ... but honey Fraser isnt part of your family .. he didnt draw breath!!!

I was in tears ... she couldnt figure out why

shelleylou · 04/11/2009 18:00

omg thats really harsh!! No wonder your angry and upset. I hope your mum realises that and makes amends

travellingwilbury · 04/11/2009 19:07

Oh fm that is really awful , Fraser will always be part of your family .

How are you doing now ? I really hope you can make her understand xxx

Shelley sorry I haven't said hi , I was in a pickle about the new thread I am so sorry to hear about your brother . And the name thing must have flipped you out , I am pleased you managed to come over and find us x

Its ok TW. ye it did especially with our Matts. Took a little while to get over it. Im terrified of losing my gaz. My parents and bro finished sorting out my brothers stuff today. Broke my mums heart getting rid of his clothes. Still have his bike gear and got to get rid of his furniture

shelleylou · 04/11/2009 19:28

Just spotted another coincidence shabs. Our Matts were both born in June a few days (and 3years) apart.

shabbapinkfrog · 04/11/2009 19:34

I have a picture of my Matt and Gareth on my profile....they look very alike (as do all my sons).

shelleylou · 04/11/2009 19:39

I looke at it before, gorgeous boys

travellingwilbury · 04/11/2009 19:43

That must have been such a hard day today Shelley , it took me a couple of yrs before I did the clearing out thing . I did have the luxury of him living here so it was easier .

and at your mum FM. I really think when you are feeling better you need to speak to her about it and how much it upsets you. Or maybe your dh can have a word.

That sort of behaviour really is unacceptable and you shouldn't have to hear comments like that. Apologies if that sounds harsh, but you need to look after you.

peterpansmum · 04/11/2009 21:11

Beautiful beautiful poem TW, and lovely thread title too xx

FM - I am totally and at what your mum said. Fraser is and always will be your son and therefore will ALWAYS be part of your family. I hope your mum has had a long hard think to herself this evening. How are you doing?

Glad you've found us Shelleylou

Well I went back to bed this morning and actually slept. Am going to try to get an early night tonight too.

peterpansmum · 04/11/2009 21:21

Hiya ILike How are you doing? Good advice re looking ourselves - someone else said just that to me earlier this week when i was really struggling xx

shelleylou · 04/11/2009 22:04

we were given 4 weeks dont know if thats from date of death or from when mum informed them. It was hard yesterday when i went and that was sorting of what to keep or his personal belongings and what to keep. I know mum found it hard but DB came home yesterday.

woollyjo · 04/11/2009 22:25

Hi All,

Hope you are all in fine fettle.

Not been on here for a while - busy fretting about other stuff. Having a really low week - guessing its being triggered by the pg hormones, almost feels like I'm starting again

shabbapinkfrog · 04/11/2009 22:29

Welcome home Woollyjo - have missed you. Think there are quite a few of us having 'low' times this week. Im sure its partly due to the time of year and the clocks going back. I hate closing the curtains early. I also hate Winter. I hate Christmas. I want to live in Greece bah humbug!
