Hope....for the bereaved parent; even at Christmas, one of the most painful times of the year, there is an essence of hope. Hope....it is hope that sustains us through the days of grief and anger and frustration and loneliness.

The hope that someday the pain of the deaths of our children will be eased. The hope that someday our smiles will be real.

So, it is that for each of you I would hope....peace, compassion, love, sympathy, understanding, sharing and listening. In the sharing of our grief with one another, and in the emotional support we give to one another, we receive and understand all of these gifts.

Remembering my precious sons....and all of your precious children at this difficult time of year.

cheese I was terrified of the thought of a cs as well . .. I was induced at 36 weeks 5 days and got as far as 9.5 cm and then got stuck

I was taken down for cs but was forceps in the end .. The numbness was quite strange but it did wear off quite quickly ...I remember being freezing after it too.. I put it down to reaction ...

just remember any delivery where mum and baby are safe and well afterwards is a succesful delivery

hope you get the reassurance and the answers you want /need

Whatevertheweather · 02/02/2012 15:44

Phew phew phew! My boss was super lovely and understanding. She's in a bit of a quandry what to do with me now though as usually I manage a portfolio of clients and doesn't know whether just to leave my mat cover in place rather than muck the clients around for the sake of 5-6 months. I don't care what they do I'm just so relieved she was understanding Smile Thank you lovely ladies for all your support.

Cheese I hope your meeting with the consultant gave you the outcome you wanted

blizy · 02/02/2012 15:55

whatever so glad your boss was delighted for you. As for your clients, I am sure that together you can sort something out which works for you all.

cheese hoping that today has been positive for you.

blizy hoping you can be gentle on yourselves as Zoe's birthday approaches.

chip winter sun sounds perfect!

dee you have chosen such a perfectly beautiful name for your daughter.

It is really cold here, and not getting better any time soon. I have given up trying to stay warm through mere layers of clothing, and have resorted to sitting in bed with the electric blanket on. Much better.

Hi everyone, lottie I hope you feel better soon.

Hope you all have a good weekend. I am over in Belfast for a wee break with Dh.

How is this for a sign, I was talking to Zoe whilst driving and asked her for a wee sign to cheer me up. About an hour later my tyre blew on the motorway!
