Is this in the Kayden/Caiden/Jayden/Brayden camp?

I love the name Caleb and I'm aware it's a biblical name but I worry it sounds in the Kayden/Jayden etc name camp by sound and that isn't for me.

Please tell me I'm overthinking it!

Caleb is a good strong, old name. It's never been particularly fashionable or used alot so I doubt it would ever be like Jayden etc.

No, I wouldn't say so. Old Testament boys' names are having a moment so it is quite trendy but it is most definitely a 'proper' traditional name. I would categorise it more with Noah / Eli / Elijah / Isaac / Ezra / Reuben etc.

People really need to get over themselves, honestly it’s a name and just for reference, my ds has never had a bad school report or been given an asbo, however Henry, Joseph and Thomas were all recently in trouble for stealing Kai’s phone.

I didn't say anything other than those types of names aren't for me. Just as the name Caleb won't be for others.

She didn't say there was anything wrong with the name, just that the style wasn't for her. That's OK. People are allowed to have preferences and they are allowed to express them. You have completely overreacted.

I like Caleb. I like a lot of biblical names. I have a Noah and my other son has Joseph as his middle name.
