Husbands insane boys names! Help!

I have 3 weeks to go... When we found out it was a boy I knew I'd have the crazy name battles. Our DD has a V beautiful but V unusual Latin name. Trying to push his crazy names to middle names.
His boy suggestions are:
Aurelian
Hector
Titus
Lysander
Tiberius
Gaius
Uriel

My suggestions with his ideas have been either
Duncan (family name) and Titus as a middle name or Reuben (DH thinks too popular) and Uriel as a middle name. Thoughts?

I really love Gaius. Also think Gregory, Adrian, Julian and Fabian v good. For warriors what about David or Alexander? I also like Jason as in "and the Argonauts"

I like Ragnar or Ragnor, you can pronounce it. I'm a teacher 🤣 no idea how to say Aurelion? Lysander is a bit weak. Hector is ok. Horace is ok.

Lysander is the name of a scaffolding firm in Cambridgeshire, different though

Grim? That's a bit harsh. Everyone is going to like different names.
One thing worth remembering with names is that it's the least interesting thing about people however important it feels when you're pregnant!

Tiberius is simply fabulous! I also love Horatio, Hector, Cassius, Hugo.
Spartacus is also wonderful. My sons got away lightly as DH is not of the same mind as me.

Gaius is nice - if you're Welsh... the others? A bit out there.

Again I really do think people can like or even love names but did any of you choose names like this for your own children?
As I said before, lots of my friends agree and love his choices but not a single one picked a name outside the top 100 for their own children.

yes I have. Not similar to any of your suggestions but my son has an obscure name due to his fathers heritage. Definitely not in the top 500, let alone 100!

Ive never had an issue. No one has said anything. All is fine.

Love the names Reuben and Alexander - what about:

Ignatius (the fiery one)
Francis (the free man)
Thaddeus (gods gift)
Harvey (battle worthy)

Well yes. Not interested in top 100 names.

It all comes down to whether you'd feel okay yelling the names across a crowded park. I'd feel a but of a plonker hollering 'COME HERE, LYSANDER' or 'TIBERIUS' or 'TARQUIN'.

How about something like Joshua? Fits with your like of quite mainstream/Old Testament names and your Dh's like of warrior/Biblical names.

I wouldn't pick anything unusual for my children, no. I have an awful surname and when I got bullied that was one of the things that was used against me. So I personally think it's a bit selfish to give a child a name that will draw attention to them when you don't know how that child will cope with that attention.
