Is Jaxson (jax) too much like jack we like the name but have a nephew called jack we don't know if it's to similar?

Yes. And just no.

Shodan · 12/03/2021 18:47

No. Not Jaxson.

Jackson if you really want, but not Jaxson.

Pommes · 12/03/2021 18:47

Would it be Jaxon or Jaxson?
I read the latter as "Jack's son".

viques · 12/03/2021 18:48

I would steer clear, but if you have to don’t spell it with an x, Jackson is a great name, or just call him Maxwell if you want an x name.

savvy7 · 12/03/2021 18:49

I don't like it sorry

RusholmeRuffian · 12/03/2021 18:49

Spell it Jackson if you must use it

Mylasmummy2102 · 12/03/2021 18:49

Jaxon/Jaxson is awful. So chavvy. I can tolerate (just about) Jackson.

Given him a proper name!!!!

Bourbonbiccy · 12/03/2021 18:58

No sorry, I really don't like it.

It's so tough isn't it, but if you really like it, go with it.

dividedwefall · 12/03/2021 18:59

It's not a good name sorry. I hate the phrase chavvy but it is one of 'those' names definitely.

EileenGC · 12/03/2021 18:59

I quite like Jackson.

Jaxon/Jaxson - nope.

Do you like Jason?

peachypetite · 12/03/2021 19:00

Jaxson is such a horrendous spelling. Just why?

DarthWeeder · 12/03/2021 19:01

I don’t like it at all, but if you are going for an alternative Jackson, then choose Jaxon rather than Jaxson.

Kanaloa · 12/03/2021 19:03

Jackson is lovely but Jaxson just looks wrong and adds unnecessary awkwardness. I think I’ve said this before but it doesn’t make the name any more unusual or different. His name will still basically be Jackson except he’ll need to spell it out constantly. I would go with Jackson.

Flaunch · 12/03/2021 19:05

Jaxon is the worst of the worst. Jackson is pretty bad in itself, but Jaxon is dreadful.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 12/03/2021 19:09

Hideous. Absolutely awful.

Call him John and use Jack as a NN? I love the name John, but it sounds Hmm with our surname...

I'm glad you said it, as I was only thinking it!

Is your surname New Grin
user1493494961 · 12/03/2021 19:13

Poor Jaxson.

Gettingthereslowly2020 · 12/03/2021 19:15

Jaxson/Jaxon just sounds like you don't know how to spell Jackson. I don't like Jackson either unless it's for a surname.

N4ish · 12/03/2021 19:16

Please don’t call your son Jaxson! Honestly, the poor child will not forgive you.

TwilightSkies · 12/03/2021 19:17

By ‘chavvy’ do you mean working-class?

Bimblybomeyelash · 12/03/2021 19:18

Jack is a billion times better.

What about:
Jacob
Joel
Tom
Sam
Ben

ineedaholidaynow · 12/03/2021 19:18

Is that how you spell it?

I've only seen it Jaxon and that is for a dog

Okbussitout · 12/03/2021 19:18

No it's awful. I personally hate names that could be surnames. It also looks like you can't spell. Unfortunately it's the type of name people will judge negatively. Don't do that to your kid.
