New Year & a New thread - post what you hope to start/finish this week!

I have bought lots of fabby gemstones & I want to try & make some different types of jewellery, different ways of stringing etc.

DH also bought me some rainbow fluorite & I want to make myself a necklace & bracelet, although am still pondering what style I fancy!

(& my bog is sadly neglected, I must try harder!)

Well I have got all my beady stash out, dropped a box of head pins all over the florr - ARGH) but can't sit down to bead as the cat is being very nosey & insists on walking all over everything the moment it comes out of the bag.
I'm going to have to barricade myself into a room or something - conservatory is currently too cold. Grrrrr

GM - thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - believe me no-one was more surprised than me that it turned out so nicely. I guess I am getting a bit better what with all the practice of late, and I have discvered I LOVE doing applique and I am quite happy to concentrate on it...
dunno what I am thinking of offering to do a tutorial, but it was fairly easy to make and I want to do one for myself so could write up the steps as I go I guess

xmas in switzerland WAS fab, but am at your snow today, London is just grey and very very cold and DD2 just won't put any tights on!!!

the snow has turned to slush already before I could take any pics of the fields and the trees. Poo! (they looked lovely earlier) lol at DD not wearing tights - my dd seems to think it's perfect weather for cropped trousers and flip flops (she's 8 and should know better)

Sorry I haven't been around to see all your creations! One thing after another I am all set (well as I set as I ever am) for a crafty new year.

Need to get myself a target and go for it. Haven't read all the post yet-what day are targets set for please? I am a woman on a mission!Well until the next disaster happens.

I won a Christmas quiz/competition back in December and I am still to pick my prize!!! I just haven't had the time! Come on crafters, please help me choose from this lot!!www.theartisticstamper.com I have £50 to spend!!!

I'll make that my task tonight and set some new goals tomorrow I think...I am such a ditherer!!

Fubsy · 03/01/2008 22:22

Bloody hell Dior, you set a blog up in less than 1/2 hour!

I am well impressed, and Im def going to do one. Unfortunately XP took the mystic secret of the arcane art of downloading photos when he left, so mine might be a bit bare to start with, until I can get hold of him!

I love the others too!

maximummummy · 03/01/2008 22:55

oohhh - dingle lucky you
the tim holtz "grungeboard" looks good

maximummummy · 03/01/2008 23:03

Whizzz · 04/01/2008 14:22

Yipeeeee I have made something - well quite a few things
Rainbow Fluorite Set although I can't decide which of the bracelets I like best so I am currently wearing both !

and another gemstone bracelet the trouble is, I can't actually remember what type of stone it is it may be some sort of jasper - anyway it's pretty !

OP posts:
Dingle · 04/01/2008 14:29

oo...love that bracelet Whizz...the clolours are fabulous!

Nbg · 04/01/2008 14:35

Whizzz and Meri I like the bracelets.
The flourite is lovely.

Dior, well done on the blog

I cracked on yesterday with the hearts for my friends dd and I've almost finished them.
Theres 3 of them and have her dd's initials embroidered on each one.

GreebosWhiskers · 04/01/2008 14:37

jeangenie - glad you liked the brooch I didn't actually manage to get a pic of it before it was sent so it was lovely to see the pic on your blog, especially since it's a nicer one than any I'd have taken

The shop's been set up but there's nothing listed yet as I wound up giving a lot of stuff as xmas pressies & haven't gotten around to much crafting over the festive period. I will get there tho', honest.
