I don't know what's going on but this is the third post I've tried. If this fails I'm going to give up.

Anyway, I can't seem to find the old thread for some reason, my laptop is doing funny things so maybe it's at my end?

Anyway, I cannot see what you all have achieved so far this week but here is my blog with what I have done or you can have a peep in my profile but the pictures are quite diddy

my dh still has a cold and I now have a bad throat but other than that I'm hoping its a nice new years eve.

I've decided to dig out some old curtains with quite a cool print on but I havent a clue what I'm going to do with them.
I'm also going to get rid of my blog. I'd only done 2 posts on it anmd it was all based on my jewellery. Since I'm doing other crafty bits I may as well start over with it being new year and all

i must tell you all that after last years handmade gifts not going down too well, this year, it was quite emotional. there is more to the story behind that flower cushion than i blogged, bit too personal to put on there tbh

I love the cushions too. I like the meaning behind the hearts and flowers.
I think gifts like that mean so much more than anything you can buy in a shop.

Happy New Year folks!!!! Meridian - I can't believe I missed the greatest 80s movies - I'm gutted....did you stick around long enough to see what was number one? I am loving your new creations too, really beautiful.

whizzz my mum was over the moon with her necklace - she hasn't taken it off yet! And GW - DD loves her headbands, and they look gorgeous on her.

I love that owl bedding too - Next have some really rather good bedding, don't they? I get all snooty and refuse to shop there (DH is a bit of a snob and sometimes it rubs off), and then when I check out the things they have I have to take it all back

DS decided he wanted a dinosaur cushion when we were in Laura Ashley today (and I was too tight to buy him one as I have had to buy a new bed and a mattress and bedding and I also have to buy wallpaper and paint out of my own secret craft fair money stash , all for DD though, so it's not the end of the world ) so that's my job for this week.

Glad the pressie was alright GM - I laughed as my friends little girl came today & she loves her Dino but she has decided its a sea horse

GM glad your dd likes her hairbands dd & ds love their Merrylegs - dd keeps trying to nick ds's dino & insists that Amelie is a dino bird.

i can vouch for the quality of next bedding, i'm not normally a next fan, don't like the dc's wearing 'next' across either their chest or bottom, but we got dd a jungle duvet cover when she was 2, 4 years later it is still as good as new, and now on ds's bed.

oh, yes, we need a challenge 2008 thread, where's dingle?? ds isn't back in nursery til next week, dd back this thurs, but we still have visitors to come, fil & partner, and i'm taking the day off from sewing next weds to have a big sort out of the house and tidy up.

as far as handmade gifts not being appreciated, it was purely down to not having an understanding of the time, effort and thought that goes into making something, which this year, with the help of the blog, has been addressed (hopefully!)
