I don't know what's going on but this is the third post I've tried. If this fails I'm going to give up.

Anyway, I can't seem to find the old thread for some reason, my laptop is doing funny things so maybe it's at my end?

Anyway, I cannot see what you all have achieved so far this week but here is my blog with what I have done or you can have a peep in my profile but the pictures are quite diddy

OP posts:
jeangenie · 13/12/2007 11:45

Nbgdoesnthaveachristmasname · 13/12/2007 11:50

I've just added photos of my creations minus the steiner doll as its probably dying a slow death in the bomb site known as dd's room.

Have a look for a laugh

LUCYKateallthemincepies · 13/12/2007 12:13

SantasWhiskers · 13/12/2007 13:16

Nbgdoesnthaveachristmasname · 13/12/2007 14:46

Awww SW
Your girls are very pretty and your son is gorgeous.
We very nearly called Ethan Rowan!

LK, which did you open first?

I've been paid for the last bracelet I made before I had Ethan so I'm going to hammer the craft shop tonight

LUCYKateallthemincepies · 13/12/2007 16:22

hi all!!

loads of christmas cards made!! Makin more this week. I have stamped and coloured this week, cutting, glittering etc today.

ahhh someone has "stolen" my customer base at church after encouraging me to get all my stuff out there, and to bring them in to church she's only gone and started making cards and selling them for chritmas..... big table and everything... and anouncement..... she claimed she "DIDNT KNOW" i made them etc..... ermmmmm....

anyway mini rant over.... upset and vexness has turned into motivation...... making stuff and selling etc.

oooo i have an etsy shop now, thanks to you all who recomended it xxx

ok my goal for this week is to make more christmas cards, a few other themed cards and some chocs to sell on Sunday, already got a commision for £15 worth of chocs... yayyyy!!

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 13/12/2007 22:08

I've made myself a rather nice (if I say so myself) necklace using picture jasper (grey / black) & another gemstone bracelet for a friend at work.
However I am having to tidy all my stuff up soon & stash it away over christmas

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 13/12/2007 22:11

oo and I bought myself a lovely sterling silver bracelet kit (well it is a birthday pressie off my brother) - will post some pics soon I promise.

and I haven't added anything to my blog either - not very good at that

ChampsOnIce · 14/12/2007 03:34

oooo sounds nice whizzz!!

jeangenie · 14/12/2007 10:10

your kids are gorgeous santasW - how old are the eldest girls? - they look fab, very pretty!

whizz - need photos
champs - what is teh name of your etsy shop - would love to have a peek

I made some more birds for the xmas tree when DD2 was asleep yesterday, in purple ginham and Ithink I will put some lavendar flwoers in them to make a nice scent. Think I will send one to each of my three sisters (we dont do big gifts) for xmas.
Finished tea cosy for a friend. Am enjoying this do handmade gifts thing - I did manage to make some more of my little bags with appliqued trees but decided they'd be wasted on the kids at DD1's crafting party so have filled with plain white t-shirts and fabric paints for all my nieces and nephews and tied up with a bow on top. Am quite chuffed with those.

Will try to update my blog later.

DH thinks I have lost my wits by the way and the house is like a bomb has hit

KeldaOfTheLancreClan · 14/12/2007 14:21

Thanks jeangenie Abi (on the left is 13.7 & Jo is 14.10 (dear God she's almost fifteen!). I have to admit I think they're gorgeous (but then I'm allowed to be a little biased) - I never looked that good & I'm very of dd1's figure 'cos I never had curves 'til I had kids & mine developed in all the wrong places!

('tis GW/SW btw trying on a new name)

GreebosWhiskers · 14/12/2007 14:27

Just out of curiosity(sp?) would anyone be interested in a tree ornament swap next Christmas? Loads of us have been making them & I think it would be nice if we all made one to send to a fellow A&Cer. It's obviously a bit late for this year but we could have a wee think & I'd be happy to organise it next year.

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 14/12/2007 15:46

Heres my latest Picture Jasper necklace. The stone has beautiful shades of grey & black & I have threaded it simply with black seed beads

GreebosWhiskers · 14/12/2007 16:14

Whizzz that is gorgeous! Reminds me of the incredibly old jewellery that I was slavering over last time we went to the museum of Scotland. What do you do with your stuff? Do you sell it anywhere or just do it as gifts?

GreebosWhiskers · 14/12/2007 16:43

ooo-er what have I done? I'm a member of the discworld knitting group on ravelry & there was a thread lamenting the awful news that Terry Pratchett's been diagnosed with early-onset alzheimers A few folks said it would be nice to make him something (he actually spins & knits - how cool is that?) & next thing I know I'm posting a thread asking folks to sign up to do squares for a discworld afghan to send to him & offering to do the sewing/crochet a border myself My enthusiasm does run away with me sometimes.

I've now got 8 people from the US & Canada signed up

Am looking forward to it actually - just hope I can pull it off!

pantoinghousewife · 14/12/2007 19:41

Gw, I would be up for that, crocheted my snowflakes and star, and now have to find something to stiffen the star with. D'you think starch would do it, I used that papillon starlight stuff to crochet it with?

GreebosWhiskers · 14/12/2007 23:17

Bloody hellfire - we're up to 18 now for our Afghan for Terry! The Yanks outnumber us Brits about 4-1 it has to be said Where are all the UK Pratchett fans?

Pantoing - I was wondering where you'd gotten to! Don't think I've seen you on for a while? Starch would probably work but if it didn't would gluing them onto clear plastic be okay? Maybe sandwiching the plastic between 2 motifs? We'll want to see pics

Merrydian · 14/12/2007 23:35

I just read most of the posts and haven't a clue what i just read, I'm soo tired I'm on the way to bed now but I just wanted to share this amber necklace that I mader today, the first bit if jewelry I have ever made, from a necklace that DS broke over a year ago. I got aroudn to it eventually. But I have the suspicion that it could be addictive becuse it was so fun.

jeangenie · 15/12/2007 09:23

whizz - that necklace is fab - as is the golden tassle one in your pictures - really beautiful. Do you have an etsy shop yet? I think you'd do well
GW - regardless of your bias those girls look beautiful! I'd be well up for an ornament swap next year - it's a lovely idea. Although we'll see if you are still standing after your terry prachett fest...
Meridian just off to check your blog

(have run out of stuffing for my various little critters - hoping to get a fix from a pal who has some spare before I go into total cold turkey )

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 15/12/2007 10:19

Thanks for nice comments - but I made a bit of a error - the latest necklace is PICASSO Jasper not Picture Jasper - oops.

GreebosWhiskers - I have sold a few bits & bobs on here, some to friends & have done a couple of school fairs. I haven't got an Etsy shop or anything, although I do have a neglected website of pics. The marketing & sales side of things, I'm not that good at . I just enjoy making things !

GreebosWhiskers · 15/12/2007 11:22

GingerMonkey - we got tickets to the Mighty Boosh live!!!!!

I'm so excited - dh was on-line & I was on the phone, I got through first & even though they'd only been on sale less than 15 minutes there were hardly any left

We're at the back of the front stalls just a few rows back from where we were last time & we had a great view then so it should be good.

I'm so excited - roll on September!
