Weekly Challenge Thread (New one, can't find old one ????)

I don't know what's going on but this is the third post I've tried. If this fails I'm going to give up.

Anyway, I can't seem to find the old thread for some reason, my laptop is doing funny things so maybe it's at my end?

Anyway, I cannot see what you all have achieved so far this week but here is my blog with what I have done or you can have a peep in my profile but the pictures are quite diddy

nbg- thank you... hope you had a nice time at the craft shop... i'm attempting to find nice beads online, semiprecious gems, i told my DH thats what i want for x-mas but need to find what i want specifically and i'm v fussy.

love all the jewellery making thats going on, whizzz, have had a peak through your picture trail the other day, some lovely stuff there. am trawling through my list slowly but surely!

2 more cushions with pockets - one done
2 mini animal softies - done
2 embroidered cushion covers - done - just need to make them up into the cover but all embroidery done

still to do -

finish pocket cushion
make up embroidered cushions
another car play mat
doll for dd if time

Ooooh I bought lots of felt

I also got a top for dh and I'm going to have a go at embroiderring a picture dd has done on to it.
Got the idea off one of the blogs but cant remember which one.

Merry, I only use semi precious gems in my jewellery but I buy most of them off ebay. 2 particular sellers are really good, Taniataris and Beadypapers.
I've also got a ton of sites in my favourites that i can link if you want to have a look.

I've done no crafting at all as I seem to have lost my mojo willpower. I've started the old gregg for dh but not got very far (& he finishes up today for xmas) & have started a couple of wee bits for dd.

My afghan for Terry Pratchett list is up to almost 80 people wanting to contribute a square - there was a big rush to sign up at the start but it's tailing off now (thank god) so there may be around 100 volunteers by the cut-off date (xmas eve).

Yes it did arrive thank you and dd loves hers . In fact shes actually stolen one of my little lip gloss things to put in it. Shes away this week at my mil's and its gone with her lol.

nbg- can you e-mail them to me? meridianariel @ hotmail . com .... for future reference have place an order with beads direct for my christmas present, just bits and bobs some peridot gem chips and flourite and um a few other things, its my christmas present.

I have made a few bracelets this week but in having discovered beads I have fallen behind on everything else

knit a thin scarf
brownie kit jar
1x chrstmas card for dh
and obviously lots of baking of cookies as presents edible crafts!

nbg- thank you. I love it too, thats why i had kept the beads loose for 5 years.. well that and lazyness... mind I havne't been as creatve and crafty for years as i have been in the year. perhaps it was the horror of turning 30 last spring that kicked me into gear.

I've been working like a demon and all I have left to make are the 6 sets of bunting - WHOO HOO!!

dressedup- not been to the one in nottingham yet.. though i think i have walked past it ages ago, though i have only been beading for a week so we shall see.

must sort out a crafting circle meet up in the new year, at least for midlands area. should put that on top of the crafting to do list.

suppose i'll go do something useful now. like have a cup of coffee and a cookie ((wanders off singing "tis the season to be lardy fa la la la la la la la laaaaaa"))

i'm up for a crafting meet up, in fact, i'd even loan my house as a venue if needed

I live up north and not a bit closer to you midlanders....though I might always sneak down for a meet up!!!!! Have a fab chrimbo everyone if I'm not on here again!!!!

gm, i'm just straight down the a1 (or up the a1 for dior!), really easy to get to. the other thing i was thinking was the knitting & stitching show, a meet up there next year, the harrogate one is much better than the nec.

i really would recommend putting a sitemeter on your blog if you don't have one already. i've had one for a couple of months and its really interesting, you can see how many visitors you get a day, location, if they are following a link, where the link is from etc. my stats for today, since the sew mama sew bit appeared, are huge, i'm amazed!.

i've had loads of visitors from people doing google searches for elf hat patterns, i guess there must be lots of parents needing to make them for school plays too
