Oh X posted with you Numpty! Haven't read your post
yet - saving it til I sit down with a coffee. Just wanted to say Congratulations again. So happy for you all XXXXXXX

Coffeeandchocolate · 02/07/2010 11:46

Cross posted with Numpty. I have to dash, but just wanted to say again congratulations and welcome to the world little Josie (lovely name). Much love xxxx

Crazycatlady · 02/07/2010 12:45

Oh Josie is a lovely, lovely name. Wonderful to hear you're home safe Numpty.

A friend's little girl also had a slight murmur at birth, but by the time she had her 8 week check it had passed, so hopefully it will be the same for Josie.

Oh I've got a tear in my eye reading your post Numpty, such happy news that she's here and you're home with your family, and DS sounds like he's just being a sweetheart xx

AllwaysDoingSomething · 02/07/2010 13:51

Numpty, massive congratulations on the arrival of Josie....such a beautiful name, with a very special meaning.

Drama, congratulations to you too. Goes without saying that I wish you a very uneventful pregnancy.

Some lovely positive vibes on this board, offering much hope to those who need it.

A x

LYN1982 · 02/07/2010 18:26

Congratulations numpty. I'm sure Josie is just beautiful. Working with newborns I have found heart mumers very common and most sort themselves within the first few months. My cousin is 34, has a small hole in his heart and he is perfectly fit and healthy with no probs. Sending lots of love your way for new arrival xxx

Hope everyone else is okay. I completely understand the new mummy to be fears (I worry just thinking about being pregnant again) and I hope and pray you all get positive news and enjoy pregnancy xxx

MimsyStarr · 02/07/2010 20:39

Ahh, so much going on here, I can't keep up!

Congrats again to Numpty! Josie is a brilliant name. I have an Aunty Josie who is so lovely and very funny, so I have great associations with that name. I am looking forward to meeting her.

Congrats to Katerina too on the birth of your son.

Kittens, I remember there were a few good threads going on Recurrent Miscarriage clinics a couple of months ago with lots of good info that I found helpful. With me, they wanted to see me exactly 6 weeks after the MC, and they took what seemed like about 7 vials of blood (so drink a big sugary tea before you go in). The tests as far as I remember, were: Full Blood Count, Thrombophilia screen, Anti-phospholipid antibodies, Thyroid Function, Karyotyping (your partner will be offered this one too), and another that escapes me at the moment. Then we had to wait 6 weeks for the results. Hope they are quicker in your neck of the woods.

Good news DramaMama, fingers crossed for you too.

LittlePoot, hope these 2 days pass in a flash and it's all good news. x

Good luck with the move Katiecubs, such an exciting and tiring time......

Cantdothisagain · 03/07/2010 09:37

Congratulations again Numpty! Fab news and name. What did Josie weigh? The bf will come back to you...

And congratulations too Katerina! Lovely to hear your news.

Finally congratulations to Drama. Blimey, three lots of congratulations in one post...

Good luck LP with the scan this w/e. The dating thing - try not to worry - the difference there is tiny.

Hi everyone else!

allstarsprincess · 03/07/2010 10:24

Congratulations again to Numpty. Welcome to the world baby Josie (lovely name).

A quick thinking of you post for Littlepoot. Hope it all goes well. Xx

Havingkittens · 03/07/2010 13:28

Beautiful name Numpty! Lovely to hear from you and to hear that your labour went a lot more smoothly than you were dreading. Big relief. Now you can enjoy your little Josie.

LittlePoot, I will be working in the morning so won't get time to come on and wish you luck but I will be on the bench with everything crossed for you and looking in later to see how you got on.

Mimsy, thanks for the info on the testing. I have been looking on the miscarriage board too. There is a thread for people going through tests at the moment but it's a really long one so I may have to pluck up the courage to join in. It's a bit like turning up to a party where there are loads of people who've been there ages (albeit, a party where people aren't having such a great time!)

Katie, I used to live quite close to Streatham Hill Station too, but officially it was Tulse Hill. That was about 100 years ago though! Lovely houses up there!

Crazycatlady · 03/07/2010 13:37

Ooh I wonder if the three of us were scuttling about in Streatham Hill at the same time? We used to live in Telford Park, then moved down into Streatham "Village" 3 years ago when we realised we had no hope in hell of ever affording a 3 bed house that close to Balham .

Just had a lovely, lovely morning at Tooting Bec Lido with DH and DD. She wasn't that fussed on the paddling pool, but loved going in the big pool. So nice to get out in the open air for a swim. I forgot the nausea for a while too.

Poot I might not get on again before tomorrow, so just wanted to say I really hope everything goes well, will be thinking of you xx

NumptyMum · 03/07/2010 20:38

Thank you for all the congratulations, apart from the breastfeeding it's all going so much easier than the first time, thank goodness - so much less to learn! And with the breastfeeding I'm now expressing from the sore side and bottle feeding and she's absolutely fine still with taking milk from the other breast, so no 'nipple confusion' here and it means I don't dread her feeding cries.

She weighed 7lb 8oz by the way, so is comfortably less than DS (8lb 12oz) . And she's so voracious that she's lost less than 3% of her birth weight.

Anyway, we're just getting everyone (including DH & I!) ready for bed. But just to say Good Luck LittlePoot, I really hope that you get seen quickly, no hanging about for nerves to build, and that it all goes well. I'll check in for the news when I can... and Kittens, I'm glad that you don't have to have any further interference, I really hope the mc meeting is helpful when it comes. And Waffy, no news from you so just to say I'm thinking of you.

xxx NM

Coffeeandchocolate · 04/07/2010 00:46

Just got home from a hen night and I'm falling asleep in front of my laptop, but just wanted to say to Little Poot good luck for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you xxxx

Hello to everyone else, I'll write more soon.

LittlePoot · 04/07/2010 09:52

Morning all. All good at the scan (there's a phrase I could get to enjoy saying....). Heartbeat and a tiny pair of feet. And at least two weeks bigger than it was two weeks ago. Trying not to get too excited, but it does feel a whole lot better.

Numpty - Josie sounds fabulous - well done you! And bless you for still having the energy to come on here and check on the rest of us. Once again, I can't tell you how much I've appreciated everyone's support.

Right. Me and dot (with legs) are going to spend the day in the garden. There are vegetables to be grown. Love to all. xxxx

LYN1982 · 04/07/2010 10:38

That's fantastic news littlepoot - I'm delighted for you xxx

Havingkittens · 04/07/2010 12:21

Oh, LittlePoot that's brilliant news! So pleased. x

NumptyMum · 04/07/2010 13:01

Hooray LittlePoot, what relief. Really pleased for you; enjoy your gardening with Dot , xx.

Coffeeandchocolate · 04/07/2010 13:12

What a relief Little Poot, and I love how Dot sounds. Enjoy the rest of the day.

I am heading to a memorial service at our local hospital, in memory to all the babies who died in the past year. I've been pretty emotional these last 2 days, so I think it's going to be quite hard to be there, even if I really want to. I woke up yesterday dreaming that I was cuddling a newborn...

Numpty, I am so glad everything is going well, and I am keeping my fingers crossed the heart murmur will resolve itself in the next few weeks. Crazycat, your post reminds me of what we were discussing about on the sister thread a little while ago, about moments of happiness snatched from life when all seems bleak, and all the more precious for that. How are you feeling? I've been a bit nauseous today, and also am extremely hormonal. I could cry all the time.

Gotta go now, lots of love xxxx

katiecubs · 04/07/2010 15:21

Oh super news littlepoot!!! am made up for you x

Glad to hear Josie is doing well Numpty despite the breastfeeding issues - guess i have all that to look forwrad to

OP posts:
Cantdothisagain · 04/07/2010 20:51

Great news LP! Very happy for you.

Katie, bf can be hard - even very hard! - to start with but after a bit it is honestly much less faff than formula, IME. Numpty, I fed DD1 for ages and this time feeding seemed easy enough but I got mastitis 3 weeks in and have been battling a painful blocked duct this w/e. Despite this I still think bf is easier than formula... however I find expressing a PITA so hope you can dispense with that soon....

Coffee, hope you're OK, and everyone else.

Dramamama · 04/07/2010 22:25

Mishta- you are indeed phsycic, i was convinced i wasn't! shows how much i know lol.
Thanks for the advice Coffee, Katie and Crazy your right Coffee i should just wait for the bloods your right btw i am 25; only just too it just scares me that last time my chances were i in 1,473 or something and i was that 1, whats to say it won't happen again? i can't even really let myself be happy at the mo i don't think i will be till i know where we stand i'm sure u know exactly what i mean.
I found out they'll prob do the cvs like an amnio earlier on (eg:
in through the abdomen) and if i have to go through it again i will but i really hope my bloods come back good anyway only 4 wks tomorrow so lots of time yet, also anyone know if they do any tests or scanning early if you terminated for T21? sorry just keep thinking of questions and i have no one else to ask.
LP-hope all went well been keeping my fingers x'ed for u.
Numpty-Congrats again! and i love the name Josie it's beautiful and perfect.
DM XxXxXxX

Havingkittens · 05/07/2010 09:06

Dramamama, after a T21 pregnancy you are usually offered nuchal screening and a CVS at 11 weeks. That's pretty much the earliest they can do it.

shangrila · 05/07/2010 09:17

Happy sunny Monday to one and all

and the biggest of hello's to Numpty and beautiful Josie.

Katie next! All so very exciting.

and another big smile, pat on the back etc etc for LittlePoot who has gracefully negotiated another hurdle. First of many!

I can't believe this thread is nearing the end of its lifespan. It was very special to me, a true lifeline. It marked our first thread babies, my own included. So I just wanted to come on, kiss it goodbye and wave a fond farewell, whilst dreaming of so much good news to come on its sibling.

Love to all x

LYN1982 · 05/07/2010 09:36

Hi all,

I have just had a phonecall from consultant's secretary asking us to attend an appointment with consultant tomorrow!!!! I'm terrified now that she is going to give me bad news as I was told my final report would be posted (I still haven't recieved this)and I would then have an option of making an appointment to discuss if necessary!!! (my heart is in my mouth)!!!!!

LittlePoot · 05/07/2010 09:45

Ahhh - the thread is full!! I'll go and make us a new one right now.....hold off on posting for a bit. xxx

LittlePoot · 05/07/2010 09:53

New thread created and ready. Hope that's ok? See you over there in a bit.

Lyn - hopefully that's just your consultant's helpful secretary making sure you get an appointment - I went in to see mine after my termination (and again after the miscarriage) and there was no (more) bad news at either. Fingers crossed for you sweetie - thank goodness you at least don't have long to wait.

Bye thread one! xxx
