I know plenty of Scots agree with me.

I'm half Scottish (dad) so always support both. In the past I'd probably want Scotland to win if it was them against England to be honest. Although now because of the Argentina support I'm going off supporting Scotland.

I desperately want England to win this one more than against any other team.

No, I think it would be a lot funnier for them to lose to Argentina again, than it would to lose to France or Spain. The history adds to the salt in the wound.

People can support who they want. What has it got to do with you @Engerlund?! None of your beeswax who others choose to support or not support. I generally don't give a crap about football (to be honest even when Wales are playing I can't get that excited!) but on Wednesday I will support England because I lived in Stanley for four years. Actually if anything that means I am really supporting Falkland Islanders... braces self for slight confusion because a weird number of people seem to think the Falklands are in Scotland!

I have no opinion on Scotland but while we're on the topic I really enjoy the people who support Argentina because they're against colonialism. That's like supporting Rhodesia because you're against colonialism...

Who cares who anyone else supports? I wouldn't have any opinion at all who I wanted to win if Scotland were playing Argentina so why should I expect anyone Scottish to support England?

I only have a mild preference for England to win over Argentina anyway and I'm as English as they come.

Scots always support anyone but England, despite all the money we’ve given them over the years (I remember reading it was about a 10% uplift per taxpayer back when they had the independence referendum.)

In return, we think they are dour and have midges.

I'm English and I wanted Argentina to win. The sooner it's all over the better. Didn't watch the game, so wasn't cheering anyone on, but would have been very happy for England to crash out.
