I find them a bit meh. I'm happy for them to do their own thing if they leave me alone. I think this is overstepping. Do vegans not have pets? After all, keeping pets is just forcing animals to live and be controlled by humans.

A bird handler is holding a hawk on his gloved hand. A blurred crowd is stood behind him. The hawk has food clasped in its beak.

I am a vegetarian

I judge no one for their food choices
and I have never felt judged for my food choices

I don’t think that’s a coincidence

Try being teetotal.

People will judge. You only have to look at all the threads started by newly pregnant women on how to hide that they’re not drinking. Because it’s not acceptable to just not, for no reason.

Amongst my friends most of us are tee total or very moderate drinkers. Can’t remember the last time i saw anyone more than mildly pissed tbh.

How very embarrassing for you, my love. You do know that you actually posted that and this is not some strange dream? I hope one day you will look back and cringe at what you've posted on this thread but somehow I doubt that will ever happen.

I thought exactly the same, I was hoping for just once someone didn't trot out that tired old 'joke' you know it NEVER fails to cracks ones ribs! But there it is lame AF I think I saw it quoted five times on one thread once 💤

I don't judge anyone. Life is too short to be negative. However when ever I mention I am vegetarian I am asked how I live on just vegetables and no protein if I say I don't eat fish or meat.

Isn’t it lovely though? How when you’re veggie or vegan you discover just how many people are qualified nutritionists/dieticians. Truly inspiring.

Especially when they say that they don't eat hardly any vegetables only protein and carbs.

i have been asked this before, and I just see it as they’re curious. Not judgey

Some people are curious but some are rude. Last one was telling me I don't get enough protein and I should eat meat.

So if something doesn’t happen to you it never happens?

great if everyone you encounter is non judgemental and keeps their thoughts to themselves.

some of us don’t live in that world, and we do experience judgement. Even if you don’t.

@Trivium4all
My take is a decision had to be made. There would be no time or resources to conduct an investigation of any meaning. And while I agree that it is poor journalism - pure clickbait - I don't think the BBC needs to report if an investigation had take place.

As for the place you visited, to me it's still a prison. A nicer one so it would seem but a prison nonetheless. And to be fair, you only got a snapshot of the place.

Sure, but if one is going to report it, it would be good to know on what basis the decision was made, other than, "someone complained". Also tbf, you don't know how much time I spent at this centre, to categorise the course as a "snapshot". As a whole, I'm really not keen on birds in cages, in the sense of e.g. the classic canary or parrot, and I try to be very careful where I get my eggs from. All I can say is I was expecting to have more of a problem with the falconry centre than I did, once I observed in greater detail how it worked and how the falconers and the birds interacted.
