What's pissing us all off today?

What's pissing me off today is a misogynistic man trying to throw me under a bus today on Teams in front of 30 colleagues ranging from my level to five levels above me.

I had messages from five different people during the call asking if I was OK.

The man is like bloody Teflon - no grievances seem to stick to him. I left work early and went the pub with the dog. Fuck him and the horse he rode in on.

I'm here to ask for solidarity for anyone else who is thoroughly pissed off today and see if we can fume together.

I'm pissed off that Bev Craig is campaigning for Manchester Mayor as "Bev". Apparently she's a household name who needs no introduction and can be on a first name only basis with the whole of Manchester. Like a mancunian Madonna. I only found out who she was last week.

I'm finding it annoying enough that labour ditched on the mayoralty mid term. I liked Burnham as mayor and he was doing a great job. We had a decent PM. We did not need this by-election. It almost makes me want to vote green but I could not live with myself if reform got in.

I'm pissed off at my sister's neighbour for standing in their garden smoking weed swearing at their kids and using words like c*.

I’m pissed off that I keep getting passed from place to place for MH support. Nobody will help me. Lower level services say I’m too complex and need higher level support. Higher level support say I need GP. GP sends me back to higher level services. Have paid private but can’t afford that long term. It’s truly no wonder people give up.

I’m pissed off that the overpaid VC (who gets paid a grand a day) and the board of my university have decided to change the structure of our colleges and roles with a lack of transparency. Nothing will change for the students but for the overworked and underpaid professsional services staff the uncertainty of our future is quite horrible.

I’m raging that my son’s school found it fitting to tell him he was changing schools before we did. How bloody dare they!

I’m pissed off because I’ve spent the last few hours telling myself that my sneezing is just a bit of hay fever and it’s now flaming obvious it’s a full blown cold 🤬

Pissed off that my DP is leaving a trail of destruction across our property of projects he has no skills in but insists on starting. Why do men think it is a reflection of their manhood if they can’t replace a roof or fix a tractor or install a gate etc etc? It gets on my tits that there is broken machinery, leaking roofs and all manner of batshit crazy other stuff everywhere I look. He won’t get properly trained tradesman in because he doesn’t think they will do a good job 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Everything. Kids, work, husband. Got a sodding virus that has lost me my voice, my ears hurt, my sinuses hurt. I can’t balance and feel like passing out whenever I stand

That I was surrounded by sniffers on the Elizabeth line this morning. And now I have a sniffle. Fuckers

I got annoyed trying to get my DD to train station (no ones fault just unfortunate timing). Our streets are narrow and only one can go down it at a time. Got stuck behind rubbish truck. Managed to squeeze past him when we came to some no parking spaces only to find myself facing two small trucks delivering sand (by hand, the guys were shovelling it off). So big truck behind small trucks in front. Went into another white line space and eventually the garbage truck got by, when I realised there was another truck behind! So wait wait wait. Finally both passed (no idea what the sand trucks were doing) and I was able to turn around. These things always seem to happen when in a hurry.

I’m pissed off that my mange tout plants, to whom I have shown nothing but fabulous tender care and devotion since the moment I put the seeds in the pot, have all inexplicably died. Wankers.

The weather. Another heatwave next week. My perimeno body can’t take another 30 plus degree week sweating just getting dressed in the morning. And taking care of two young children in the heat

Wilko closing. Today I had a really busy day at work, my elderly dad was freaking out and needing frequent support in between juggling work and needed a random assortment of things - think sympathy card, pint of milk, fence paint, a pack of screws, dog food, a new door mat, some stationary items and shampoo for me and said dog. I hate shopping and want to get it over as soon as possible. When Wilko existed, I could have run in and got all this really quickly. Now theres stupid B&M with the rude check out staff, or lovely home bargains which is tiny and does not have most of what I need. But Wilko always came through for me. Hoping we get a Range at some point.

Im pissed off about roadworks that have just started, which make the trip to work absolute hell, and they are here for atleast 10 months

I’m pissed off that my reformer Pilates instructor keeps cancelling classes at short notice. I pay in advance for a service she provides as part of a business, and it is really annoying to wake up to a message saying the class is off with less than 12 hours notice. Today is two out of my last three classes this has happened. (I’ve found another studio I am going to try and have booked a class there next week, but this one’s really handy and I like the classes when they actually run.)

I'm annoyed that people can't seem to drive at 30mph in a 30mph zone and think its fine to amble along at 22mph instead. This obviously has a knock on effect on other motorists forced to go at that speed and before you know it there's a long line of traffic crawling along because of some muppet at the front who can't maintain a correct speed .

And as for expecting that people can actually drive at 50mph in a 50mph zone. No one seems capable of going over 40mph. And as for dropping down a gear on the approach to a bend or actually taking your foot off the accelerator (because amazingly this causes the car to lose speed 🙄) they just brake, brake, brake every few seconds, brake, brake, brake.

When you follow a car which starts going slower and slower or starts braking for no reason. And its drifting along with the driver appearing to be in a zombie state. And you start to look around wondering if there is something in the road causing an obstruction. But it's nothing like that, they are just dozy bastards who lise concentration and suddenly stop at the side of the road without indicating or even realising you are behind them. why they are braking. Is there an obstacle ahead? HELLOOOO I'm behind you.

And at traffic lights when there are two lanes of traffic and the outside lane is straight on or turn right. Why do people turning right wait until the lights turn to green before indicating to turn right so that we are all stuck behind them with no where to go. If we'd seen them indicate as they approached the traffic lights we wouldn't be sat there would we? Grrrr

I'm so glad my DH is a builder, I at least never have to worry about shit like that 😅 you are right to be pissed off. If I were you I'd be telling him if the job isn't finished by X date then you're getting a builder/plumber etc in to finish it. Nobody wants to live in a building site😕

I’m annoyed as the electricians finally came round to do the second fix on our house reno after a total palaver. We ordered the light fittings for them four weeks ago but the website neglected to mention the stock was in Germany.

The lights turned up…ten minutes after the electricians left for the day. We will have to pay for them to come round again 😭🤬

Edit: and we still don’t have lights downstairs - living in the house reno is not fun 😭

Ooh this is timely ... I'm absolutely fucking raging at my twat of an ex husband, to say why would be massively outing but let's just say he's fucked up massively and the kids know it. My husband is also absolutely fucking raging at his ex wife. We're raging together. At least not at each other 🙏🏽😅

Am also pissed off because DH is deployed, I'm sulking, I'm tired, I'm on my own for three months and I had to cook my own dinner.
