So we all know that mumsnetters love a good argy bargy over Summer vs Winter.

Are people actually enjoying this heat? If you are, what is it about it that you like?

Yabu - it’s great I love it
Yanbu - it’s too hot

I’m trying to embrace it.

The mornings and evenings are lovely.

What frustrates me is when it goes on and on and it’s just too hot to do anything.

I’m enjoying the parts where I can work from
home and go in the pool.

Not enjoying the leaving my home parts.

Well we reached the heady heights of 22 today so yeah it's alright. Thunderstorms tomorrow.

I love that it’s not raining.

Oh, I love it.

My son’s TA! Every morning this week she says how much she loves it! It’s not for me

No. Absolutely fucking not. I want rain. I want snow. I want it to be dark at 6pm. I have reverse SAD and this weather makes me miserable. I also have a toddler and am pregnant in the first trimester, super nauseous and exhausted anyway on top of not being able to sleep properly in our sauna of a house, so this weather is making me rage on a level I didn't know possible.

I hate having to go to work but happy with the rest of it !

I don’t mind it as long as I don’t have to do anything. A bit like snow, looks pretty and comforting until I have to get to work!

Im better in the heat this year as I’ve bought myself some better summer wear, linen shorts and vest tops, linen dresses etc. Summer clothes have always been my nemesis!

Overall I'm enjoying it.
It's too hot in the midday sun but ok in shade or indoors with a fan, and I'll take it over cold weather any time.

I'm in Scotland so not as hot and I'm loving it! Waking up to blue skies and sunshine is just lovely. It has been a really cold year so far - my house has been feeling so cold and damp. Went round this morning, opening all the windows to let the heat in. Currently sitting outside in the evening sunshine.

I'm not enjoying it that much but the perks of it are getting my washing dry on the line within 30 minutes and not sitting there at night watching TV with freezing cold feet.

I like the heat. And I can keep our living room at about 24C.

If I could control the weather however I’d set it to rain 11pm-4am keep the crops good. Cooler over night.

Someone give me the magic weather wand.

I love it! The whole winter lasted well into MAY. And I find all the Mumsnet pearl clutching about “extreme heat” quite amusing. But I worry about the sun fairies who are being murdered by the Moansnetters, especially if they make it rain when I’m hoping to go camping (early July), it’s looking touch and go.

I'm managing. At work the office has amazing AC which is a god send. At home we have a few Chill Maxes which are lush. I have a cooling pillow so Im still managing to get some sleep. With all that said I am an Autumn girl at heart though lol

Currently ecstatic to be ploughing through my enormous pile of washing that I’ve let creep up. Paddling pool is out and lots of ice lolly’s in the freezer. Currently on what will probably be my last maternity leave so it’s been really enjoyable.
Ask me again tomorrow when it’s meant to really crank up the heat by mine.

I prefer medium weather - sunny and mild but not this hot. I am menopausal though.

This weather would be ok if I was by a pool but unfortunately I’m not!

I also like cold but sunny.

Dislike rain or snow.

I've enjoyed the last few days today not so still wondering how we got to be the hottest place in the UK today, normally we are shielded by the Solent so have been relatively cooler compared to other parts of the UK in previous heatwaves.

Still a few months of summer to enjoy,I'm much more a summer person than any other time of year.

SLT recorded 43 in a classroom today, so not a lot.

I love feeling the heat in my bones.
But yes, it’s too hot- it’s the humidity here, which you don’t have in continental Europe; the houses build to trap heat; and the temp not getting cooler at night to give you a break.
Looking forward to temperatures going down a bit, but please not below 20.

It’s ok. I’m not good in the sun (ginger genes) but is so so. I started my period yesterday so not great timing!

I’m enjoying the blue skies and sun. Thankfully have air con in the bedroom otherwise I would be in the YANBU crowd. Ended up with a takeaway tonight though as I didn’t want to cook so I can’t have it staying like this for too long! But it never does.

I’ve always loved the hot weather. When I get home from work on days like this I love to sit in the garden with my feet in the washing up bowl filled with ice water, a good book and an ice lolly. I’d spend full weekends the same, loving every second and rolling my eyes at the sun haters.

Now, I am on mat leave with a ten month old crawling baby, and I am in HELL. Bring on autumn.

I’m currently sat with my feet in a bucket and my aircon broke after it was re-gassed 🥵 But I do like the sunshine and the blue skies. Plus no school run tomorrow!
