Silly little things to make life better...

... so not hugely necessary. But say you eat a pizza at a restaurant and you can't quite finish it all. Rather than a full-sized pizza box, can you please give me a half-sized one that I can fit in my handbag please?*

*only applies to more mainstream restaurants, I know that kebab/chicken places will jam anything into a small polystyrene/single use plastic container.

Just a little thing to make the world turn more easily. Also although I get the kids' menu and the discount, can we all please order smaller portions if we wish? Ta!

If this is your one thing you’d change about the world - smaller takeaway pizza boxes that fit in your handbag - I think your privilege speaks for itself

All websites/apps operating to the same standard! I shouldn't have to be stressed out using your app, Asda!

Sigh... 🙄

I would like the world to stop using words like privilege and racism at every freakin opportunity. It makes me absolutely insane to see these two words thrown around, constantly, with no rhyme or reason.

Just the small things.

If I shop in store and I have a loyalty card, please can my receipt be available in your app or my online account? (Thank you Lidl, Morrisons and M&S for already doing this)

(actually I think M&S might just email the receipt?)

Absolutely 😂😂😂

I could imagine the lips pursing and the stern shake of the head.

(I meant to quote the '10/10. Top mumsnetting' comment from @didntlikeanyofthesuggestions )

Couldn't agree more.

If cafes would give you a glass of water along with your hot drink like they do in some European countries.

SonnyHoney · Yesterday 22:12

I try to hard-boil my eggs most of the time, but sometimes, if I'm out and about and I need a bit of sustenance I will buy some hard-boiled eggs. I think they should come with a little packet of salt attached to the side of them.

Everyone shoild have a limited use button fir turning a traffic light green as you approach. Just once a week. Just to bring a biy of jiy when every traffic light has been against you.

MsGreying · Yesterday 22:18

A short spoon for the coffee when the jar is very full.
Saw one this week.
Someone I know has one that a mutual friend's dead husband made for her.

Rain properly so I can put my brolly up and save my curls from frizzing because when it only drizzles my hair frizzes!

Hmm... I thought the heatwave was over...

I thought the title: Silly little things to make life better...

Made it quite clear what the thread was about? How should I have worded it better to assist your comprehension?

Why don't you start a thread called: 'One thing I would change about the world' and then I would happily contribute. And I would be polite too.

Good luck finding wherever it was that you lost your manners...

Slightly more crisps in multipack bags.
some kind of fastening to stop duvets sliding in their cover.

If you order a sandwich and a cuppa in a caff, for them to actually arrive at the same time - come on café folk, together we can make this happen! ☕ ➕ 🥪 🟰 😊

I've been to these cafes. Items delivered one at a time.
Guys, you never seen a tray?

Nonnim · Yesterday 22:39

I I turn my nose up at your half sized pizza box unless it has been designed by Anya Hindmarsh and can be reused as a clutch bag

JillThePlantKiller · Yesterday 22:39

@Sux2buthen you can buy duvet clips for this. They are a game changer.

I’d like to be able fast forward through the ads by just tapping my AirPods instead of having to traipse around looking for my phone when they start on about AG1 and Better Health for the millionth time.
