Silly little things to make life better...

... so not hugely necessary. But say you eat a pizza at a restaurant and you can't quite finish it all. Rather than a full-sized pizza box, can you please give me a half-sized one that I can fit in my handbag please?*

*only applies to more mainstream restaurants, I know that kebab/chicken places will jam anything into a small polystyrene/single use plastic container.

Just a little thing to make the world turn more easily. Also although I get the kids' menu and the discount, can we all please order smaller portions if we wish? Ta!

Yes, this. And I feel that if the words "I wouldn't mind" could be permanently banned from use, there might be less friction in the world.

I thought it was only me ! I’ve even tried using tongs to make it teeter on the edge on the second go round but it didn’t work. 🙄

I have no fear, and if I'm staying a while in the hotel I fiddle with the settings on it (secretly.. they generally disapprove)

I want a smaller phone. I miss my nokia 8310, and I'm actually holding off getting a new phone because the iphones are all too big.

frozendaisy · 03/06/2026 19:53

A self washing sieve please

I am desperate for Apple to produce a folding phone

I try to hard-boil my eggs most of the time, but sometimes, if I'm out and about and I need a bit of sustenance I will buy some hard-boiled eggs. I think they should come with a little packet of salt attached to the side of them.

I second that!

I'd love some cream you apply after you have shaved your legs that stops the hairs growing back for 6 months. I'm not greedy, I'd be happy to shave twice a year.
Annoyingly , when I had chemo, my leg hairs were the only ones that didn't fall out!!

Definitely 😁

@AskingQuestionsAllTheTimemy partner , when asked if he wants a cup of tea or coffee says " go on then"
What happened to yes please or no thank you!

Don’t ever work at my school 🙄
”Sure”, is the kids’ go-to response. Drives me mad!

A normal sized fridge but with half freezer, half fridge proportions as opposed to 3/4 fridge, 1/4 freezer...

Isn’t that normal? Ours is like that. Or do you need an under the counter fridge?

NeedAnyHelpWithThatPaperBag · 03/06/2026 20:40

@Missohnoyoubetterdont

What brand and make is yours, please? :)

NeedAnyHelpWithThatPaperBag · 03/06/2026 20:49

@Missohnoyoubetterdont

Thank you x, but that's a fridge/freezer as opposed to my fridge which just has a small freezer compartment.

Bras to be unpadded or padded. Ban all removable bra pads, they are my nemesis after every wash.

This would 100% make my life easier too! I have two young teenage daughters, and all their tiny fiddly bras have even tinier removable pads that I waste my life trying to reposition. If I was a better mother, I suppose would sew them in properly, but I'm not 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Online clothes shopping - please can I filter for what I DON'T want (tiers, one shouldered things, cut-outs ...)

Every car park uses the same parking app

I currently have four parking apps - mind you, the NCP one is probably no use now.

Oh, I thought that’s what you wanted!

Just had a silly moment that made me feel better. I like the Superdrug layering labs body mists and they seem to have discontinued most of the scents. I found one I didn't have today in the clearance section, thought I didn't have another one, but when I got home realised I do have that one, so now I've got the whole set.

For the filters (size, colour, price, style etc) to work at all would be a good start, on Vinted as well as on shop websites.

Currently they just don’t which means it must be deliberately aimed at showing you what they want you to see and trap you into yet another infinite scroll.

I want to accurately filter down to a sensible number of items (no more than 50) that are what I actually looking for (eg a blue short sleeve top) not to have to scroll through hundreds of garments where blue short sleeve tops are dispersed between yellow swimming costumes, pink ballgowns etc.

There might be people who want to aimlessly browse through random clothing items but that's not me and they could still do that by just looking at the website and using less specific filters.

I often have a little fantasy when I'm out walking my dog...that some sort of drone or robot type thing collects any litter that someone's tossed, or dog poo left, or fly tipping and deposits it back on the offenders doorstep. Clean streets with a bit of justice on the side.

SailingYachty · Today 01:52

A non stick pan that doesn’t have the evil chemicals in it. Stainless steel does not work the same, I can’t fry an egg successfully!

HelenaWaiting · Today 02:57

Emotional support bags of crisps. Slightly larger than average but still handbag-friendly.
