Silly little things to make life better...

... so not hugely necessary. But say you eat a pizza at a restaurant and you can't quite finish it all. Rather than a full-sized pizza box, can you please give me a half-sized one that I can fit in my handbag please?*

*only applies to more mainstream restaurants, I know that kebab/chicken places will jam anything into a small polystyrene/single use plastic container.

Just a little thing to make the world turn more easily. Also although I get the kids' menu and the discount, can we all please order smaller portions if we wish? Ta!

Bras to be unpadded or padded. Ban all removable bra pads, they are my nemesis after every wash.

Yes, and many more lightly padded bras please.

Cleaning the bathroom yesterday I realised I want a small floor mop thingy. The bathroom floor is tiny, I could theoretically get down and clean it with a cloth and spray. I don't want to drag the mop and bucket upstairs and I can't get the bucket under the stupid sink taps(no bath) so id like a half size sponge sponge mop with a squeegee on the side and a telescopic handle so I can keep it under the sink. And a little flat bucket for fresh water.

@Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride Granted it’s full size but I use a spray mop from Home Bargains (about £7.99) with several detachable mop heads. I start with white vinegar on the floor to ceiling tiles, change the mop head to dry off and buff the tiles, then use another mop head to clean the floor. The mop heads come off to be washed while the mop itself stays near the bathroom.

@Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride I'm on the lookout for the same, with the same reason.
IKEA ( and other places) do collapseable bowls.
And a sweet 7 ltr triangular bucket designed to sit in the shower to catch water.
But we need a compact mop.

That looks just the ticket! And hopefully will get in the stupid space between the sink and the shower. TY!

I've ordered 2 items for my bathroom
The Joseph joseph scrubber has one side for wiping and one for drying .
Hopefully

Online clothes shopping - please can I filter for what I DON'T want (tiers, one shouldered things, cut-outs ...)

Yes! Decent data on the products so we can filter properly. It's so lazy not to do this.

bit of a niche one but I have bought a battery driven stick water pump. Its just made emptying my goldfish pond a complete doddle.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 16/06/2026 11:44

Thanks! I might look into that. Except it would be for filling the goldfish tank rather than emptying it, in the summer.

it would be a bit big for that I think. Its about 4 feet long but there are smaller ones

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 16/06/2026 13:00

Four foot long is what I need; the thing is an outdoors tank the sort of size the water-tanks in the attic used to be (and in this house still are). Sorry: I just realised my post did sound as if I were talking about one of those tiddy things for one fish on the sideboard.
