My dog walker and the builder having an affair?

ThatJadeQuail · 04/07/2025 23:22

Pretty much what it says in the title!

I have a dog walker that comes in and walks my dog 4 times a week, she has walked my dog for 5 years and is brilliant, a lovely woman who always goes above and beyond. She is married.

I have a pet cam at the front of my house I see what time she comes and goes each day. But I don’t really look at it and it only sees the front of the house in living room not the back rooms.

I currently have a builder here who is working on my extension and has been for a month. He’s also done other work on my property and I’ve always trusted him.

ive noticed my dog walker has been staying here longer than usual after she leaves the dog (I am at work) and I’ve noticed the builder (who is also married) bringing up the dog walker in a lot of conversations.

then today my dog walker stayed for 1.5 hours after the time of walking my dog and on my camera I can definitely hear “noises” that are possibly sex noises but its hard to tell because camera is picking up from a ropm
or two away.

what do I do? Do I bring this up with them? Do I leave it as it’s none of my business? Do I say I know and to stop using my house? Or have I just let my imagination run wild and it could be completely innocent? It’s a very awkward thing to bring up!

In the immortal words of George Michael “ sex is natural sex is good, not everybody does it but everybody should”. However if the building work is unsatisfactory that’s another matter.

And to think I always taught the children that porn is not like real life. It grossly underestimates the difficulty of finding a decent plumber builder.

Well if you read the post properly she doesnt know this for sure does she ? So uptight 🤣😂

DontbesorrybeGiles · 05/07/2025 17:55

Another day, another sex noises thread.

threenaancurrywhore · 05/07/2025 18:00

Is OP sure it’s not hedgehogs

Kirstk · 05/07/2025 18:21

I'd be checking my cameras more often i love a secret 🙊

Kirstk · 05/07/2025 18:22

seenabeena · 04/07/2025 23:55

I bet they were doing it doggystyle 😳

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think I’d see if it happens again and then mention it saying the camera senses motion so just checking everything was ok as she stayed for a long time. What other rooms are close to the camera? I’d definitely be trying to work out where they’d done it 💦. I thought this kind of thing only happens in movies, who is bringing condoms to work (very hopeful question) and who sees a builder’s dirty hands and thinks phwoarr I really want that sand and cement all over me right this second. Do you know if both are actually single? 🙈

Op said they're both married

The issue for me is are they doing it on your sofa, in your bed, on the kitchen table, etc etc. 🤢

Pasithean · 05/07/2025 19:04

Ask the builder if he knows anything about house security cameras as yours is making funny noises and you need it fixed.

DelCalMun · 05/07/2025 19:08

I'd be worried the builder was billing you for a full day when he's not working all of it. Maybe ask for an interim bill and see if he knocks off shag / chat time.

Cynic17 · 05/07/2025 19:09

Stop spying and checking up in them - that's really an awful thing to do.

Pasithean · 05/07/2025 19:10

Or you could ask the dog.

New2you · 05/07/2025 19:22

I’d put an indoor camera in the ro being used. Decorated with a smiley face and when they come in next play music down the camera feed.

justasking111 · 05/07/2025 19:23

Our builder was here for a few weeks, he was a plumber and tile fitter. I overheard him take a couple of calls that I thought weren't from his wife. Told husband I thought he was having an affair.

A couple of weeks later I had to visit a client. Parked up waiting for them to return home. Suddenly realised that the range rover in the layby was the builders. Steamed up windows. Eventually they both got out and were making out as they said goodbye. I lay flat across the seats praying he wouldn't recognise my car. He eventually drove off.

Luckily they couldn't meet at our house because husband and I came and went from home a lot.

I never said anything to him. But learnt a few years later his wife had divorced him. Apparently there had been a number of affairs.

I'd say nothing to either of them.

It is op's business if they are using her house as a knocking shop...
Set up Alexa..
Play suitable tunes at the appropriate moment.
Suggestions please?

The theme to “Bob the Builder”

I'd write a novel, OP. "The Dog-walker and the Builder".

We’ve just read the first chapter.

This is funny. I’d casually on purpose drop into conversations with them both your pet cams. Leave it there.

Or foxes?

Drifts off into a happy mist of MN nostalgia

chickenlettuceunderbacon · 05/07/2025 19:40

Tbh, unless you're married to one of them, say nothing. The fact you've mentioned that you know she was at your house for 90 minutes is probably more than enough to ensure they go shag elsewhere.

GucciBear · 05/07/2025 19:40

If they are not scaring the dog then I don't see your problem!

shuggles · 05/07/2025 19:43

@ThatJadeQuail Unlikely. The dogwalker won't have known the builder long enough to have any sort of attraction.
