My dog walker and the builder having an affair?

Pretty much what it says in the title!

I have a dog walker that comes in and walks my dog 4 times a week, she has walked my dog for 5 years and is brilliant, a lovely woman who always goes above and beyond. She is married.

I have a pet cam at the front of my house I see what time she comes and goes each day. But I don’t really look at it and it only sees the front of the house in living room not the back rooms.

I currently have a builder here who is working on my extension and has been for a month. He’s also done other work on my property and I’ve always trusted him.

ive noticed my dog walker has been staying here longer than usual after she leaves the dog (I am at work) and I’ve noticed the builder (who is also married) bringing up the dog walker in a lot of conversations.

then today my dog walker stayed for 1.5 hours after the time of walking my dog and on my camera I can definitely hear “noises” that are possibly sex noises but its hard to tell because camera is picking up from a ropm
or two away.

what do I do? Do I bring this up with them? Do I leave it as it’s none of my business? Do I say I know and to stop using my house? Or have I just let my imagination run wild and it could be completely innocent? It’s a very awkward thing to bring up!

Good for them sounds like a great bit of fun 🤣 don't get involved.

Thanks for all the responses. I know some of you don’t believe me but as a 55 year old woman this is not something I would make up for fun!

the camera is in my living room as there is where my dog spends most of his day and I can view him when I’m at work. Dog walker does know the camera is there.

For context he has done work on her house previously (I had recommended him) so it’s not like they were complete strangers when the work began here.

Ive been normal with the builder pretending this isn’t happening. Mostly because I just want the job done!

My dog walker however I did message and asked if everything was ok as she was there for an hour and a half in total. She replied saying everything was fine and dog was fine but hot from the weather and she said she chatted with him so was there longer than usual.

I absolutely think they are having an affair the more I put together the more I see it. I might work from home this week so she’s not needed to come over just give me more thinking time.

I'd just have a normal chit chat and laughingly say that you were looking through your web cam recordings for something and you could hear a load of 'sex noises'. Your builder must have been working really hard that day! No accusations, but just laughing at funny noises off camera.

What he does in his own time is up to him, but I hope he wasn't 'on the clock'.

@ThatJadeQuail move the bloody camera to somewhere it CAN pick up better volume. No need to film the action, but just the sound will tell you what you need to know

No, tell her you're at work and hide in the cupboard all day. It's the only way to be sure.

I think I'd just mention that you know she's friendly with him, but please can she not chat for more than a very few minutes as you are keen for him to keep working!

Hmmm. It's not your business apart from the fact that they are in your house.
You've told her that you noticed her staying a long time, so perhaps she will take the hint and pursue this elsewhere, if there is anything to pursue.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs and 'ins and outs' of the situation, this thread has really cheered me up. I'm crying with laughter, especially about the comment that it could be upsetting the dog. Thank you all!
I say leave them to it, as another 55 year old woman, I wish my days at work were this exciting.

Tell her to stop chatting to the builder as its holding his work up. And you are paying him!! And her!

Im curious to know, is the builder good looking? Is the dog walker attractive? How old are they?

If they are having sex in your house, that’s revolting op. I wouldn’t give them a warning about the cameras. I would just come home at the time when you suspect they may be up to something. Come in quietly and see what they’re really up to. You might get your dog walking and building work at a discount!

Great thread, for both of these people I would have let the know first that I have security cameras in the house.

obviously I don’t for casual callers but someone coming regularly working long term on the house I would. Avoids all sorts of misunderstandings.
