I have always said Crispy Cream. That is what they were called on any American tv show I watched growing up.

Now they are mainstream in the UK I often hear people call them “Crispy Crem”

Which one do you say?

OP posts:

Speckyfourfries · 03/02/2025 21:04

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/02/2025 21:05

I've heard both but personally say Cream

tilypu · 03/02/2025 21:05

LieutenantJumboJr · 03/02/2025 21:05

Cream

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 03/02/2025 21:06

Yeah I'm also Crispy Cream. I have heard the Crem alternative though. It reminds me of Anne Boleyn's 'Cremuel' in Wolf Hall 🤔

ChessieFL · 03/02/2025 21:06

Crispy Cream

MajorCarolDanvers · 03/02/2025 21:06

Cookiesandcandies · 03/02/2025 21:08

Cream.

I overhead a conversation earlier where they repeatedly said Krispy Crem, and it made my teeth itch.

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 03/02/2025 21:08

Crispy Cream. That's what they've always been called.

Overthebow · 03/02/2025 21:08

Cream. I’ve never heard crem before.

crumpet · 03/02/2025 21:09

Have never come across the Crem pronunciation

MyUmberSeal · 03/02/2025 21:10

Cream. Crem is weird.

BabyMushroom · 03/02/2025 21:10

never heard anyone say crem

GoodVibesHere · 03/02/2025 21:12

Crispy cream

On the basis that the doughnuts have got cream inside, not crem inside

Oftenaddled · 03/02/2025 21:12

I suppose it makes sense. Kreme de la Kreme?

But I say cream Grin

sugarandfudge · 03/02/2025 21:13

Cream (aka 'the correct way') 😋

Mangoesintoapub · 03/02/2025 21:14

Does anyone say Crem Egg?

Drivingoverlemons · 03/02/2025 21:14

Crispy Cream. I don’t know why I know this as I don’t think I have ever had one. But I know it is right 😉

BarbaraHoward · 03/02/2025 21:14

I've only ever heard "cream".

Skandar · 03/02/2025 21:20

Cream. I suspect people are assuming accents on "Kreme" when there aren't any. (Creme de la creme for example has accents on the first e, making the pronunciation 'crem')

The company themselves are clear it's "cream"
