Vibrators on sale at Tesco, thought it was a bit much

Went to buy some toothpaste with my kids, 7 year old wants to see new toy in plastic boxes, it’s rows and rows of vibrators. Is it just me or is this a bit much for the weekly shop?

On a high up shelf, out of the direct eyeline of children and down an aisle that is "boringly grown up" as the medicine aisle is...

Theoretically on a high shelf, but there have been taboid sadface stories where they've been on lower shelves (admittedly contrary to store policies).

Against store policy means that it's not supposed to happen. It can't be used as a "gotcha". It means stores are aware that they should be out of reach of children and they are actively tempering children's exposure.

Yes all the line drawings of butts in high contrast white on black are more discrete than the other box

I'd actually stop and look at this box to see what it was, especially as it looks different to condom etc boxes whereas the Durex box blends in to what would be around it

I thought the lines were clouds not butts tbh and I wouldn't know what this was without having a.good look at it

I mean really what’s the difference between that and condoms?
One is for males and one is for females making it therefore so much more lewd?

One is a birth control product, one is a masturbation tool. Bit of a difference, to be fair.

I checked out the link and it really isn't a demonstration, thankfully! It's quite a vague video ad.

a vague video on using a butt plug.. honestly some people have interesting jobs! 😂

I had an acquaintance who was a paramedic.. you'd be surprised what people (men) put up their arse and can't retrieve.

And you'd want to have a look because it's packaging stands out. Unlike the packaging that blends in with the others around it.

If that's what you think fair enough but I don't think it stands out and I just wouldn't pay any attention to it because it's not like OMG A BUTT PLUG or what I'm actually looking for, so I'd just walk past. But the other box would catch my attention as OMG ITS A BUTT PLUG.

I don't think many people examine every unknown piece of packaging in a supermarket because they want to know what it is, I think people only look at things that stand out and things they are actually looking for.
