It's amazing to me that some people will claim no man would possibly become a "transwoman" in order to upset women or worse. I mean how many men trained as priests to get access to children (a much bigger commitment than simply changing one's pronouns)? A bit different, but serial killer H.H Holmes built a hotel with all kinds of horrific modifications so he could access and dispose of his victims as he pleased. Men have a long history of going to huge lengths to access victims, so why is it unthinkable and impossible than some men would use trans as a trojan horse? Not all, but some?

I had (happily) forgotten all about him, yes, he's as clear-cut a case of the man using a trans identity to make women uncomfortable as you can get.

Didn't he also make a practice of targeting women who worked on their own, usually from home, often ethnic minorities, and then try to sue them for discrimination when they refused to treat him?

Do I think someone like Blaire is trans due to a fetish - NO, but Blaire doesn't claim to be anything but male and is open about that and think women absolutely deserve single sex spaces.

Do I think "skirt goes spinny, my penis is female, I have periods and period pains with no female reproductive organs, what about infertile women or women with hysterectomies they are like me, lesbians must accept me in their dating pool, I have a right to be around naked or vulnerable women if I say so, I am a woman because of what I visually see as a woman and dress and act as my perception of a woman because I have NO WAY to know what a woman feels because I am not an adult female of the human species, I am now a mother not a father even though my male gametes created my offspring" are doing it from sexual fetish and delusion - YES.

It doesn’t matter WHY they think they are women. The fact is that they are men and they can’t compel anyone to believe otherwise or to be in spaces reserved for females.

These women have been badly let down.

It's the NHS which is unfortunately captured to fuck and full of EDI leads with rainbow lanyards who only seem concerned with making sure trans isn't discriminated against and is celebrated.

And to add to the anecdotes - I don't work in-patient (I'm community and our dress policy tends to be rather flouted), but when I've gone in to shadow my acute colleagues for some in-patient experience - it's been change into uniform when you get there (or IPC will have you) and there's no changing room - it's nick the boss's office if she's not in, or go into the loos.

We need to acknowledge that there are all kinds of individuals currently sheltering under the 'trans' umbrella.

Some of them quite clearly wish harm on women. How can anyone look at Isla Bryson, Barbie Khardashian, Katie Dolatowski for example and conclude anything else?

I hand no doubt people with genuine dysphoria exist. However, I would have thought these men would be extremely conscious of the impact they would have on vulnerable women in women's spaces and would not want to cause others distress. They would be looking for private spaces, not muscling in on women's.

Good men, trans or otherwise, would not do what this individual is doing.

I really hope the nurses in this issue know they are supported. I really admire them for going public about the letter threatening grievances.

Yes I agree, and I would question whether anything this individual is doing contravenes the NMC Code, particularly the requirement to work co-operatively with colleagues. You can argue that changing arrangements are separate from working practice, but it surely has a knock on effect on working relationships.

Actually, I love this. I hope all the female nurses are in the office and not one of them are in the changing room. Makes a brilliant point. Next thing I hope happens is that the transwoman demands to move to the office as well so they can change with the women and brings some sort of claim against the hospital for excluding them. Oh, please, please, please let a case like that go to court. 'I demand to see women undress!'

Men parading as women

Just because a man wishes to be viewed as a woman it doesn't mean everyone else has to bow down and agree with the version of they have of themself in their head. We are perfectly entitled to view people as they have been seen for millennia, based on how how they were born and their biology. I don't get how the whole trans movement screams and shouts for tolerance yet gives none of the same back to women. I'm fine if someone wants to be trans, do your thing, just stay out of private female spaces and don't expect me to suddenly change my whole view of male and female.

If you want people to agree that trans women are women then you should be able to explain why you think the statement is true.
