To think that people who spend £45 on a Stanley cup need their heads examined?

More specifically for a primary aged child who is likely to lose or damage the cup? £45? Absolute madness. Some parents just can’t seem to see their kids go without the latest trend.

Absolutely, they must be out of their minds!

You can get a Disney x Corkcicle for £50!

I only buy corkcicle. They are incredible drink cups/bottles.

I wouldn’t let anything from TikTok shop go anywhere near my mouth, never mind my DD! There have been numerous products (water bottles included) sold there which have contained dangerous amounts of lead and carcinogenic chemicals. It’s all fake, cheap rubbish

@Dramatic

they won’t be genuine Stanley’s.

TeenLifeMum · 07/06/2024 12:57

Are they “nice”? Round here they’re owned by the fishlip brigade. Not something most of us aspire to.

How nice, you came onto this forum to talk about other women in this manner.

I just spent $175 in US dollars on a collector Barbie, so I can’t really judge. 😂

Love this 😂

hairtonup · 07/06/2024 21:22

I hope your barbie makes you as happy as my giant Stanley cup does.

MisterMagnolia · 07/06/2024 21:23

I was picturing children wandering around with miniature ice hockey trophies.

Nah, I've got loads and my head is perfectly fine! Would also buy for a child 😂

My water intake has never been so good! It's also a fantastic thing to take on a walk, packs a punch so a great defence item haha

Don’t you think this is a bit weird given water carrying vessels are widely available!

BeachHutsAndDeckchairs · 07/06/2024 21:26

We're skint as fuck but dc 2 wanted one so desperately they saved their birthday and Easter money and pocket money up to get one. I'm not going to say no to a child learning how to save up for something they want.

Fiery30 · 07/06/2024 21:26

I don't understand the fad of Stanley cups. What is wrong with a normal water bottle? It is easier to carry in my handbag, not big and bulky.

Emeraldsrock · 07/06/2024 21:28

Just bought my daughter one. Shes so happy. Her clothes are mostly primark and next. Wouldn't spend £100 on a pair of Nikes for her. Each to their own.

She does! Actually, it’s two dolls - the Lilly Pulitzer Barbie and Stacie dolls, which were a Silver Label release in 2005. Here’s a picture:

There's nothing wrong with a normal water bottle. Some other people choose to transport their water in a different way to you which is also fine.

I predict that this time next year charity shops will be full of stanley cups.

And car boot sales !!!

myusernamewastakenbyme · 07/06/2024 21:42

And car boot sales !!!

They’ve been around for years and aren’t going away any time soon. A water bottle is never not going to be useful

Unfortunately there is no excuse for being downright nasty, classist and judgmental towards other women. Nice try though

I prefer a yeti

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 07/06/2024 22:31

Anyone can spend their money on what they like, but shouldn’t moan about having no money as they’ve wasted £45 on the latest fad 🙄 and keep their false nails to themselves.

I made no mention to anyone’s class. Not sure people who have lip fillers count as a class. They are just very different people to me and not something I’m jealous of. I’m good with normal size cups and lips 🤷🏻‍♀️

How is this relevant exactly? Nobody here is moaning about being short of £45, or shoving their false nails in your face for that matter.

StaunchMomma · 07/06/2024 22:41

Most people these days have at least one large water bottle/cup. Stanleys are superior to plastic models in that they are thermal and they are easier to clean than water bottles.

They also don't taste like plastic.

Love mine.

HighOnMaiden · 07/06/2024 23:11

I have a knock off one. I take it to work full of filter coffee because we only have instant in the office. I’m wired by 11am 😂
People spend their money how they see fit. If I could have got a Stanley at the time I probably would have done but the one I wanted was OOS.

sweetkitty · 07/06/2024 23:13

At school they do look odd being carried by 7 year olds who do struggle to carry them. They should do a child sized mini version.
