I'm excited as we are coming into the summer.

And AIBU gets the most people.

I love hearing about other people's travels.

I am going to Spain for two weeks. One week in valencia and one week in benidorm.

Another person who is only posting here for traffic
Is everyone so desperate for an interaction that they just post willy-nilly?
So find the appropriate thread.
I am praying for rain in Europe

It's not that serious. I'm not dying for traffic for a travel thread! I'm genuinely interested in other people's travel this year.

I always stay on aibu myself and i feel its where the best discussions are

I'm also hoping to go for a weekend to geneva, in September this year.

Dear me, I think you need to go back to bed and try again!

Carloadofplants19 · 24/05/2024 09:50

So far this year have been to

Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam

2000 mile round trip to Northern Scotland

Nothing else planned yet

Not restricted to school holidays

Samlewis96 · 24/05/2024 09:51

Taking DS to Eygpt and Thailand in a fortnight

CatamaranViper · 24/05/2024 09:51

I know you didn't ask but YANBU to be excited for summer and for your holiday, but YABU to start a thread so you can brag about it

How tedious

TakeMe2Insanity · 24/05/2024 09:52

Sounds fantastic! Enjoy. We are stuck in the UK due to dc2 illnesses so going to a lodge in Scotland. It’s not Valencia (which we love), Geneva (which is pretty) or Singapore (where we were hoping to go) but we are determined to enjoy!

Catza · 24/05/2024 09:52

Spent a month in Spain in March, gong to see family in Northern Europe in June, then a couple of days in Barcelona with girls. Still have a week left to play with and firm plans.

Lol. I'm only going to benidorm.

Is that a brag?

Yeah it's great. Because we can't go everywhere.

But we can learn about places from other people

Ah Scotland is lovely. I've only really spent a couple of quick weekends there.

I'd love to do a tour around the Scottish Islands some day

South Thailand, then to Chaing Mai for the UNESCO new year water festival, then Attuyhaya to see the temples, then to visit the bridge over the river Kwai & the war museums & the night markets. Also visited the biggest monkey pod tree !

There was a heat wave, it was hotter than normal

Furrydogmum · 24/05/2024 09:58

My extended family are going to a cottage complex in Derbyshire just big enough for us with an indoor pool. 18 of us ranging from 73 down to 6, plus 5 dogs! I'm sure there will be moments of angst but we all have separate accommodation so it will be fine 🙂.

FawnFrenchieMum · 24/05/2024 09:58

We have done a couple of weekends at the UK East Coast so far.

Two week Med cruise in July - first time cruising, nervous but excited!

One week AI adults in Corfu in Sept for my birthday (was going to be just me & DH but now PIL joining us).

And not quite this year but booked Thailand for March next year, also first time doing this part of the world.

Citygirlrurallife · 24/05/2024 09:58

Meh I love a travel thread personally

we’re going to Valencia too OP! Well, just DS and I for 3 nights next week. Then with DH and both D.C. to Porto for 4 nights in July and 10 days in Wales in August which will be fun as we’re taking the dog

😂 I would wait til they have sorted the ferries out!

We have a couple of camping trips one to the Moray Firth the other to the Lake District.
Also going to Turkei in a few weeks.

I also enjoy a holiday thread and getting ideas of places to add to the wish list!

I'm going to go and look up what that water festival is. I hadn't heard about it before

Bet you get invited to a lot of parties.

Playdoughcaterpillar · 24/05/2024 10:01

We're off to center parcs in Belgium this weekend and then 10d in Greece in August. Ignore the grumps OP they didn't have to join in!

ComtesseDeSpair · 24/05/2024 10:02

Lake Michigan, hiring a beach house with a group of friends right in the shores near Muskegon. When the weather is good it’s one of the most beautiful places on earth. Will team it in with road tripping visiting to other friends and the in laws up in the UP.
