I'm excited as we are coming into the summer.

And AIBU gets the most people.

I love hearing about other people's travels.

I am going to Spain for two weeks. One week in valencia and one week in benidorm.

We went to Bali for a month in March - somewhere I dearly love (I know it’s a bit marmite) and travelled around the north and east coast - stopped off in KL on the way home.
Camping in France for three weeks in July in our enormatent.

We also have a couple of UK breaks booked for later in the year.

Doteycat · 24/05/2024 10:03

Holiday threads are the best threads.
Beem to puerto mogan this year and we are just back from a mother daughters trip to see Taylor in Paris.
Going to germany in august to bring my dd home from erasmus and making a trip out of it. Heading back to canariies in sept for a wedding.
I was horribly ill this year so im v v grateful to be going on the trips, for a while there i wasnt sure i would be able.

TheTempest · 24/05/2024 10:04

We arrived in Benidorm last night. Maybe a weekend away later in the year but not sure where yet. I love this sort of thread 😊

Jeezitneverends · 24/05/2024 10:05

Canaries last week for a week, another 2 weeks there in August then another in December…yes we like it there😂…and have access to v reasonably priced accommodation

falalalatte · 24/05/2024 10:09

We're going to Eurocamp in La Rochelle

Clearinguptheclutter · 24/05/2024 10:09

we are heading off on our main holiday tomorrow. Driving to the french alps for a week via various stopping points then coming back via Disneyland.

Dreading the traffic tomorrow but otherwise can't wait.

Adipocere · 24/05/2024 10:10

Going to Cyprus at end of June for 2 weeks. Just me and DH, lovely

Carly944 · 24/05/2024 09:52

Lol. I'm only going to benidorm.

Is that a brag?

I've never been but am actually desperate to go. I think it's because I've been rewatching Benidorm on netflix! I told dh this morning I want to go there next year!

We are off to Greece this summer...typical All inclusive type affair. I cannot wait!!!

KimberleyClark · 24/05/2024 10:12

Went to South Africa/Zimbabwe in January, going to Athens for a week next week, in June doing a huge road trip, to Scotland (one week in the highlands one week on Skye, then back to the Scottish mainland to get a ferry to Belfast, then driving down to Dublin for a few days, ferry back to Holyhead and home via north/mid Wales. Can’t wait.

AnnaMagnani · 24/05/2024 10:14

Already been! Road trip round the Peloponnese.

Amazing but any later we would have found it too hot.

Yeah I was just thinking that benidorm is just really what I want this year.

Im really tired from my job and i dont have the energy to do anything adventurous.

i just want Sun, sea, sand, good books, good food and wine. Benidorm definitely fitted what I wanted this year. I'm going to stay in the quieter part and just lay in the sun and eat lots

Your road trip sounds epic!!! Are you campervanning?

KreedKafer · 24/05/2024 10:21

We had a mini break in Paris for my birthday in February. We're going to Shetland in the summer.

We might go to southern Italy or Madeira in the autumn for some sunshine if we can find somewhere reasonably priced (as we're clearly not going to get any of that in Shetland!).

No, we have booked cottages in Scotland and hotels/b and bs rest of the time! Also calling in to see a few friends and relatives. I like my creature comforts!

DreamerP · 24/05/2024 10:27

Just landed in NYC! Excited for the week ahead.

Yes to be fair that's all I want too. Plenty of food and laying on a sun lounger with a good book!

MiniPumpkin · 24/05/2024 10:28

costa del sol in mid July. 10 nights . Cost an absolute fortune as in school hols for very basic hotel but I’m happy to be getting away

TheChosenTwo · 24/05/2024 10:30

I love holidays threads, YANBU!
25 of us are descending on a castle in France for some big family birthdays, we are all so excited 😀
Then dh and I are going to possibly Mauritius but possibly somewhere else later on in the year.
Earlier on this year we had a long weekend in Bruges, just the 5 of us, very pretty but a long weekend was all we needed really, it’s quite compact. Hadn’t been since a school trip and the dc hadn’t been at all so it was really nice to go back.

EdgarsTale · 24/05/2024 10:34

We’ve got a week in Portugal and a week in France booked for the summer. We’ve already had a week in Cornwall & a city break in France.

Funkyslippers · 24/05/2024 10:34

Just a week in Tenerife AI, the 4 of us. We usually go for at least 10 days if we go abroad but DD1 said if we go for 7 days she'll come (home from uni & doesn't have much time off). We said, thank you your highness! 7 days it is! 🤣

Another person who is only posting here for traffic
Is everyone so desperate for an interaction that they just post willy-nilly?
So find the appropriate thread.
I am praying for rain in Europe

Wow who the fuck pissed on your holiday vibes moody Margaret.

@Carly944 my holidays this year aren’t as exciting as yours my dh and I are having a mini break in Blackpool next month and then in October we are going to a Haven camp near Marton Mere for a week with my parents and my niece. I’m hoping our next mini break is much better than the last one the B&B was as crap as the food that they served I was glad to get home after the last one.

TheMithrasDirective · 24/05/2024 10:36

We're going to Prague for a week. It's a bit extravagant for us, but my DC are late teens and I'm very conscious that they might not want to holiday with us much longer, or they might be busy with other things. So I'm pushing the boat out a bit. We normally just book a cottage in the UK.

I went to Prague when I was early 20s and loved it. So beautiful. Can't wait to see it again and show the kids.

itsjustbiology · 24/05/2024 10:38

Not planned anywhere this year as my son is getting married in August so every bit of spare cash is going there..gladly! Me,my dh and my dd 12 are gong to do summer day trips instead maybe with over night stays if the weather is great and the b and bs have vacancies. Hope you all have a fab time what ever you are doing.

Make sure you buy some smidge! You might also want midge nets for Skye if going away from the coast 🙂
