I'm excited as we are coming into the summer.

And AIBU gets the most people.

I love hearing about other people's travels.

I am going to Spain for two weeks. One week in valencia and one week in benidorm.

The usual, Highlands with the child to stay with family. I don't like the Highlands. Child does though so that's handy, because I can't afford anywhere else!
I want to go somewhere hot and dry and lovely.

My extended family are going to a cottage complex in Derbyshire just big enough for us with an indoor pool. 18 of us ranging from 73 down to 6, plus 5 dogs! I'm sure there will be moments of angst but we all have separate accommodation so it will be fine 🙂.

Oo! Where is that please? Sounds good for a group holiday I am trying to organise.

OldTinHat · 25/05/2024 17:41

Liverpool again!

We had such a fabulous time last year (coach trip), and had excellent advice from you lot as what to see, that we're going again. On Monday. Four nights.

This time we've got a trip to the Williamson Tunnels via their Friends group booked, we want to go to that big museum, both cathedrals, the Cavern Club and we found a really cool clothes shop we want to go back to. I want to go on the wheel, too.

I have a feeling we'll be rebooking again for next year. Such a fabulous city!

Oh I just love reading about people's travels. I'm very lucky to be in Estepona now for 8 days. Moving on to Cadiz and Seville 3 days each. Me and friend. We haven't killed each other yet so that's a positive.

September to Marseilles Avignon, Aix and Arles on my own. Using the train to get around with my little cabin max backpack ha ha!

I desperately want to go to Rome. No takers yet, so that might be another solo adventure late in the year. Ahem I do have friends but they are not in a position to go travelling much, but that won't stop me!

Auburngal · 25/05/2024 17:59

Malta early October.

I can’t be doing sitting around the pool or on the beach for a week. That bores me.

We’ve done a haven holiday at Haggerston at Easter. I’m going to Antalya for 4 nights in June with my husband, then we’re taking our kids to America for 2 weeks in August. I love travelling

JayFromTheHeath · 25/05/2024 18:29

We are going to the Norfolk coast this summer, would really like to have gone abroad but we are in the process of moving house and have a few other financial commitments this year so UK it is.

we have been saving up however and are going to a fancy place in Malta next Easter. I’m excited, I’ve wanted to go for years.

Accbabymom1994 · 25/05/2024 22:15

Has anyone had any experience with Inspire?

jersey2021 · 25/05/2024 22:20

Just back from Amsterdam, off to California and Arizona in July , Dubai in October and Florida for New year!

Orangello · 25/05/2024 22:28

we had Mauritius in February, Mexico in May (just me, took some extra days after a business trip), then we will do France in the summer, Estonia in August, and Malaysia and Thailand for Xmas. Yes, a lot of money, but it's worth it.

@quizzys I went to Avignon by myself in April. It’s beautiful. And you should definitely go to Rome. There’s so much to see. I’m going with a friend next time but I’d happily go alone.

Glitterblue · 26/05/2024 04:55

We’re not long back from Rome which was absolutely amazing. We don’t have anything else booked but possibly will do a uk weekend later in the year.

@Emilyjayne942 we live very near Haggerston, hope you had a great time!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 26/05/2024 05:04

We're going to Cyprus for 10 days in September. We've never been before. We've booked a villa with a pool, it's a 10 minute walk to the beach. I'm really looking forward to it.

Pllystyrene · 26/05/2024 06:34

We did Tokyo last year, this year we're going to Centre Parcs 😂

Humphriescushion · 26/05/2024 07:03

Cork.

Sheknowsaboutme · 26/05/2024 07:29

No where. Can’t afford one.

CeeJay81 · 26/05/2024 07:32

Scotland to see family end of July. Summer holiday prices are crazy and hubby doesn't like it really hot either.

Main holiday is Tenerife in December(taking kids out last week of term). Never done a holiday just before Xmas, but it'll be a nice change from uk weather. 😀

ComtesseDeSpair · 24/05/2024 10:02

Lake Michigan, hiring a beach house with a group of friends right in the shores near Muskegon. When the weather is good it’s one of the most beautiful places on earth. Will team it in with road tripping visiting to other friends and the in laws up in the UP.

Edited

This sounds absolutely fantastic! Right up my street

828Pax · 26/05/2024 08:28

We are off to Majorca in 3 weeks, can't wait for some sun!

Sallyingon · 26/05/2024 08:38

We've had a holiday to Liguria in Italy already this spring. Absolutely loved it. Have now booked Amalfi for next May. Obsessed with Italy now. Hope I can get to Rome/Venice/Florence before much longer. Would also love to see the lakes and Dolomites.
This august we are going to Salou for a week with our 19 and 17 year olds. Could be the last family holiday although probably not as they still love their free holidays with us...
