I'm excited as we are coming into the summer.

And AIBU gets the most people.

I love hearing about other people's travels.

I am going to Spain for two weeks. One week in valencia and one week in benidorm.

Scotland soon, Lincolnshire later in the summer then India

mitogoshi · 24/05/2024 11:30

@Carly944

I love an ai or b&b in Spanish resorts, I enjoy a slightly tacky beach club myself Grin. Day drinking and dancing what's not to love.

I'm doing culture later in the year and wish I was heading to Benidorm but I'm going camping in Scotland

Lovely. Where are you going to in Thailand?

Backpacking. Landing in Phuket because it's cheaper to fly there. Only spend a couple of days there as bloody expensive and we are not bothered about beaches. Then a quick flight to Bangkok. No real plans after than but probably head north and I like Chiang Mai and DS wants to go mountain hiking

Yeah spain is just very relaxing and refreshing.

It's why everyone goes there I guess.

When I was younger I used to do really adventurous cycling and hiking trips.

Now I'm too tired!

We are going to a villa in Playa Blanca Lanzarote for a week in June. We hope to have a few days away in October, perhaps York.

mitogoshi · 24/05/2024 11:41

@itsjustbiology

That's my issue to, dd rather than ds though hence camping!

MissAmbrosia · 24/05/2024 11:55

We are off to Puglia tomorrow on the train! 😱Planned stops at Innsbruck and Rimini on the way out and Verona and Munich on the way back. Praying the trains behave themselves. I have a first class interrail pass though so fingers crossed it will all work out. In August we are going to Berlin for a long weekend with friends. End September it's my friend's 50th so we are doing a girly weekend in Valencia then DH will fly out as they fly back and we will stay the rest of the week.

Make sure you buy some smidge! You might also want midge nets for Skye if going away from the coast 🙂

I live on the Skye coast and this past week the midgies already have their tackety boots on!

Singleandproud · 24/05/2024 12:04

We are going to Dorset for a group family geology trip.

We live by a lovely sandy beach anyway and have our fill of that and DD doesn't like the heat so jetting off isn't really for us. We tend to do city breaks during cooler months.

Deebee90 · 24/05/2024 12:06

Currently in cloudy Tenerife. Going to almeria In September, Prague in November and then New York In January if that counts. Will possibly fit another beach trip in July/August if I can but haven’t booked it yet.

staycation as every year (low wage due to two disabled children). just feel sad that they are in their teens and never have been on a proper holiday. hopefully the weather will be better this year than last year's washout at least 🤞

I think Spain can be cheaper than the UK.

I booked a 40 euro flight to Spain.
I will be staying in a flat in benidorm for 350 euro for the week.

It would cost me much more to do a staycation in the UK

Puglia next week for half term.
Crete in August

orchidsinthemirror · 24/05/2024 12:15

There's been a lot of threads recently asking people to essentially give their location ('how many schools are near you? How many houses worth 1.5 million are near you) and now a thread basically asking when your house will be empty.

Call me cynical....😂

Berlinlover · 24/05/2024 12:19

Holiday threads are my favourite threads. I’m going through chemo at the moment so leading a very quiet life, I love reading about where other people are going though.

Toastcrumbsinsofa · 24/05/2024 12:25

I’m visiting family in the UK.

I didn't ask people when they are going away

I said "WHERE are you going ".

I didn't ask for dates.

Yes you are very cynical!

We’re off to Center Parcs in June, Devon Cliffs in August plus hopefully the Gone Wild festival. A short break at Legoland in November and will go abroad somewhere once we know what DD17 is doing after finishing her A Levels!

Just got back from a babymoon in Lisbon. It was 21c and a little bit overcast so for my winter-loving 27 week pregnant self it was absolutely dreamy! Perfect bimbling weather for our very 'play it by ear' itinerary.

We've also got Glastonbury tickets which is our usual annual holiday but by then I'll be 32 weeks AND I've just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so we might need to lean on the ticket cancellation insurance for that one :/

Tara336 · 24/05/2024 12:50

Aposterhasnoname · 24/05/2024 12:51
