Grandmother killed by 2 XL bullies whilst apparently separating fighting bully pups.

Longer jail sentences, minimum of 5 years for owners of dogs that kill people for not controlling them.

The owner looks like your typical XL bully owning scrote too, doesn’t he.

Sususudio · 05/02/2024 07:43

I am so tired of reading about this. There is absolutely no need for these dogs. What a horrible way to die.

Parsley1234 · 05/02/2024 07:44

@BoobyDazzler dreadful story however I looked at that person and could not help but notice more than a passing resemblance to Ali G 🤦‍♀️

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 05/02/2024 07:44

And people still claim they are "family friendly" dogs. They may be friendly but any dog can snap, but their bite/jaws are way to strong to be allowed really. Should be a ban on breeding them so the breed dies out quickly.

ABCDEFGHIJK123456 · 05/02/2024 07:44

I'd add an additional sentence for the irresponsible owner who bred them. There were puppies there. It's been known for ages the ban was coming in. Why breed them.

Crack down is needed on these idiots.

If police spent half an hour in jaywick they would see many unlicensed XL bullies. Somehow though I doubt they would be going there, despite this tragedy

DrunkenElephant · 05/02/2024 07:47

In front of her 11 year old grandson too. That poor boy Sad

Densol57 · 05/02/2024 07:48

Absolutely disgraceful. Ive lost count of arguments Ive had with owners of staffs who call their dogs the "nanny breed" and also these manufactured monster XL dogs. They are dangerous weapons and lethal in almost everyones hands.

I understood there is a ban on breeding. I know that the adults who are kept as pets have to be neutered as part of the conditions, including muzzle wearing etc.

Imagine having 2 dogs so out of control that they kill a family member. Some people really don't engage brain when selecting dogs such as these.

He's going to need a helluva lot of therapy.

I'd be in favour of increased jail sentences for owners and breeders.

Horrifying. Why do these families keep them, and with children around!

They should round the lot up if unmuzzled, not neutered and put them all to sleep if guidelines for protection of people are not being followed

Because, until something happens to a loved one they'll convince themselves it's "the owner not the breeeeeeed" even now you'll probably have the family going it wasn't the dogs fault...

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 05/02/2024 07:52

Completely agree with you, round them up and PTS.
I saw one being walked the other day unmuzzled. Absolutely terrifying, there will be a lot more deaths due to this breed.

SaunteringOnBy · 05/02/2024 07:53

The owners of dogs that kill should be tried for manslaughter at least, I'd even say murder in some cases with jail terms of 20+ years.

They are lethal weapons and incredibly dangerous in the wrong hands.
Not training them properly, not looking after them properly, not keeping them muzzled and under control etc is the same as waving a loaded gun around.

There's no need to have such dogs and a lot of the morons that have them, do so for status reasons not for the love of the breed.

That owner should be tried just like he'd shot the woman with a gun he hadn't been trained to use or licensed to keep.

SaveUsernameHistory · 05/02/2024 07:54

No doubt the owner described these dogs as ‘gentle giants’ and ‘dopey’ and the ‘sweetest dogs you could ever meet’. Yes. They all are, until they’re aren’t. 🙄🙄🙄

Youcannotbeseriousreally · 05/02/2024 07:55

That ban really worked eh?

disgrace. They are so ugly I just can’t even imagine WHY you’d want one in your home anyway. There is defo a ‘type’ of person that would want one. Yuck.

ABCDEFGHIJK123456 · 05/02/2024 07:49

Because they think they are above the law. These types have no respect for anyone or anything.

They all seem to be described that way until they attack. The problem is the immense strength of the jaw which means they are deadly.

Hopefully the breed and similar mixes will gradually die out. People need to report when they see things out and about if unmuzzled etc.

Though in this case the owner definitely looks like the type

KeeeeeepDancing · 05/02/2024 07:59

From the times- who on earth hears screaming and doesn't do anything about it?

Xyz , 38, who lives in a property behind the address where the attack occurred, said she had been in the garden at the time. “It was all quiet and then we heard dogs barking, and then we heard someone screaming,” she said. “It seemed like the screaming of a child. That went on for about ten minutes. We went back in after a while because it sounded horrific.”

theduchessofspork · 05/02/2024 08:02

Yes agreed, should be a manslaughter charge and an extra charge against be breeder and any middle men.

And they all need to be humanely destroyed. Poor dogs but they are not safe.

BoobyDazzler · 05/02/2024 07:57

Indeed. Those of you saying you won't understand why anyone would want them or why they haven't obeyed the law... it's an act of defiance against an 'authority' they can't even name, in the same way a lot of things are these days. They know it's wrong, they know they're dangerous, that's the appeal. To make them look hard etc.
