To ask how often you think the average house is vacuum cleaned?

How often? Settle a debate on what constitutes 'normal' and what's excessive please.

Once a week is normal IMO.

I'd say 2-3 times a week is normal?

Once a fortnight if you're me. So probably once a week for normal people.

Daily but I have cats and children (and a robot that does it most days for me)

Kitchen and hallway most days because I have messy kids, rest of house once a week. Before kids probably once a fortnight!

i think it depends.

My old house, 2 cats, 2 small kids, small terrace with single downstairs living space lounge/diner, we vac'd every other day, but it took 5/10 mins

Current house, 1 dog, 3 adults, we vac once a fortnight, but it takes us about 45 mins to do the whole ground floor. we sweep the dining room once a week.

Once a week but the odd extra time for high traffic areas.

I aim for daily. Its normally every other day though. I have pets though!

My downstairs gets hoovered daily but upstairs only once a week.

I think daily is excessive / unnecessary (though it doesn't harm anyone).

Weekly / fortnightly / much less is fine.

Spot cleaning around litter trays daily.
Fully downstairs. Every couple of days, but only because I send the robot vac round.
upstairs monthly. But I do try and do more and I keep meaning to send the robot vac around again.

(But we have two dogs and I hate dog hair on carpets. I'm assuming most people with dogs will vacuum daily)

Depends on how much each particular room is used and who lives there.

So living room with small kids will be daily, an adult bedroom would be weekly while a spare room that is hardly used would be when it can be fitted in.
