To ask how often you think the average house is vacuum cleaned?

How often? Settle a debate on what constitutes 'normal' and what's excessive please.

Same here. Downstairs on Thursdays and upstairs on Fridays. Our house is considered very tidy.

On average I think weekly. Ours is less than that but we’re hard floors downstairs and sweep between (and don’t have furry pets).

Once a week, but I have a handheld that gets used daily for the kids crumbs!
We don't have pets though, would be more often with dog hair etc.

I do it once a week. I imagine most people do, with maybe more in high traffic areas. Now ask me how often I mop my floors 😳...

Downstairs almost daily. Young children, although no pets. Bedrooms every 2-3 days

Hard to say. With little kids I did it daily as it needed it. Now about twice a week.

Twice a week full house, daily entire ground floor

My carer does downstairs 5 days a week, upstairs twice a week, the stairs once a week.

Depends. We are a shoes off, no pets household so upstairs and lounge is weekly, but kitchen at least twice per week.

adults make much less mess than small kids.

Was more important to keep the floor vac'd with small/crawling kids/toddlers and 2 cats, than it is in an adult only space with one dog.. we're not in the habit of crawling around on the floor, nor do we eat in here, so less crumbs.

Are you asking for average?

Because average means the grand total, divided by the number of things. So given that some people will hoover daily and some weekly, I would say the average is about twice a week or so

If you mean the most usual amount people do I would hazard a guess and say weekly.

To me, excessive would be several times a day but to be honest when we had a very sheddy white dog, I hoovered twice a day, it was the only way to keep on top of it

Once a week for us because we have a cleaner, but judging from my friends who don't have cleaners probs every 2 or 3 weeks and I say this without judgement as id probably be slovenly too if I didn't have a cleaner.

Twice a day here downstairs which is all hard floors (a toddler and a cat!), the stairs and upstairs twice a week.

Every day here, once by robot, once by me. However I have a small house, a Labrador and I'm a childminder so I need the floors to be clean for the little ones. Robot does the upstairs once a week.
