WWYD if you found high heels in your husband's car?

If your husband told you he was going to a work related black tie ball with colleagues (happens a few times a year) and the following morning you found a pair of ladies high heels in a bag on the ground in the back of his car how would you react/what would you think?

Either a cheater or cross dressing. Probably the former.

DustyLee123 · 13/10/2023 17:52

As they are in a bag I’d assume he’d given someone a lift.

BIossomtoes · 13/10/2023 17:53

What size are they? And what size are his feet?

stonedaisy · 13/10/2023 17:53

I'd assume a colleague had asked him to keep hold of them but I would be having that conversation with him

Mycatshandbag · 13/10/2023 17:53

That he dropped off a female colleague who swapped into comfie shoes and left her heels in the car by mistake.

SocksAndTheCity · 13/10/2023 17:54

I'd think he gave one of the colleagues a lift (home/to the station) and she's left her shoes in the car by mistake having changed into her flats at the end of the night.

Unless the shoes were size nine or above, then I'd assume they were his. How do 'ladies' high heels differ from 'gentlemans'?

Bluevelvetsofa · 13/10/2023 17:54

I’d like to think that he’d given someone a lift home and she’d changed out of the heels, put them in a bag and left them in the car.

StarlightLady · 13/10/2023 17:55

I agree with the PP. I'd assume he gave someone a lift and she left them by mistake. I wouldn't assume anything more unless there were other things to suggest differntly. I'd be more concerned if I found a pair of knickers.

That he dropped off a female colleague who swapped into comfie shoes and left her heels in the car by mistake.

This is the most likely answer

Doggymummar · 13/10/2023 17:55

As above, what do you think?

audihere · 13/10/2023 17:55

wouldn't immediately jump to the bad thing

ProvisionsOnTheDock · 13/10/2023 17:55

I'd say to my husband, "Hey, why are these shoes in your car?".

NoAprilFool · 13/10/2023 17:56

I’d assume he’d given someone a lift. Unless he’s cheating with someone organised enough to remove their shoes, put them in a bag but then leave barefoot

ElleLeopine · 13/10/2023 17:56

What does he say?

BerriesNutsConkers · 13/10/2023 17:57

My first thought would be that he had given someone a lift.

That he dropped off a female colleague who swapped into comfie shoes and left her heels in the car by mistake.

This.
But my DH would have definitely mentioned giving someone a lift.

Kalodi · 13/10/2023 17:57

That he dropped off a female colleague, who had changed into flats and she forgot to take them out the car once dropped off.

I often share lifts with colleagues, both me dropping them off or them me off and usually they're married too. Just helping each other out and getting home safely.

But sounds like you need to have a conversation with your husband.

Mothership4two · 13/10/2023 18:01

I'd ask him. First thought would be he's given someone a lift.

Absolutely this.

HollaHolla · 13/10/2023 18:03

Assume he'd given someone a lift, and they'd forgotten their bag with the spare shoes in.
Maybe ask him? That would be my first thought.....

ZebraD · 13/10/2023 18:03

Take them to him and ask what the fuck they are for!

IveHadItUpToHere · 13/10/2023 18:06

I'd think he'd given a colleague or friend a lift and they'd forgot their heels. I'd bring the shoes in and ask who they belonged to and tell him to call her to let her know he had them.
What I wouldn't do is start a thread on MN. It's a non-event.

widowtwankywashroom · 13/10/2023 18:08

Ask him? But like others have said I would assume he's given someone a lift and they have put flip flops on and have left their shoes, said lady is probably now searching for her shoes.
Unless they are a size 9;s etc.......

SkyTree · 13/10/2023 18:09

I’d think a colleague had left their shoes in his car when they changed into comfier ones. I’d definitely ask him though.
