The recent pictures of Daniela Westbrook has attracted a lot of negative comments. I can’t help but feeling sorry for someone who clearly has had issues to deal with throughout her life.

Do you find it is rude to say she looks awful?

I just had to google her age, she is not even 50 yet.

There are ones in the DM that are worse, clearly staged and they've got her on all fours eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts. It is cruel and unkind

I didn't click on your link but a headline had flashed up on my phone about her emulating Marilyn Monroe with a similar photo.

Just nasty. I hope people don't click on it so they don't get the views.

I was looking at the pictures the other day, poor girl, but I can't figure out just why her face can't be fixed. Many many people have nose operations and filler and face surgery, why does it look so very bad?

Poor Daniella. She clearly can't look after herself, it's sad to see what she's become. It really isn't fair to take such advantage of someone so maladjusted. Shame on the papers.

Because she snorted so much coke her nose wore away, surgery can only do so much .

I used to live near her, so saw her regularly,she was stunning.

It's probably hard to fix her face due to the huge damage she did through cocaine use. I do feel sorry for her though, it sounds like she has massive regrets about her choices. I hope she can find self acceptance and peace one day.

Where does she get the money from?

I suppose she has to be photographed for exposure, but remembering her in her youth it's a tragedy.

Because all of the bone structure underneath her nose area was destroyed by the huge amounts of cocaine that she was (is) taking. I shudder to think what an x ray of her skull would look like. To get a "normal" looking nose and mouth would probably require a really invasive surgery with something man made to replace the bone, and I don't even think that's really possible.

If you're not squeamish try searching online for facial bone loss caused by cocaine, and look at some of the image results.

It is not just her nose though, from what I can gather most of her facial bones have withered and collapsed.

I think if you court attention by arranging photo opportunities for the gutter press, you're inviting comment and those comments may be positive or negative.

It would be quite easy to avoid the inevitable derogatory comments really.

And yes, she looks awful and it's entirely her own doing.

Horrible for people to jeer at her. Why should she be judged on the way she looks? Answer - she's a woman and if she doesn't conform to conventional ideas of beauty, she is fair game - apparently

She has no other way to earn an income so she sells photos of herself. I find her story so tragic and she serves as a good warning for kids to stay off drugs

I feel desperately sorry for her. Her career was largely based on her good looks, she made some poor choices (which are common enough among young people who acquire fame and money too quickly and lack guidance and life experience to manage it) and now she's condemned to a life where the only way she can make money is to court press attention which constantly rubs her face in the fact that she's damaged her looks. It's a toxic cycle and I don't know how she keeps going. If the journos had a shred of integrity between them they would stop engaging with her. Same goes for Katie Price and various other unfortunates; and we're all complicit, all of us who have looked at the pictures and commented.

She's clearly a very fucked up person, but yes, of course she looks awful. I have limited sympathy, she made her choices, the same as we all do. Her's just seem to involve vast quantities of charlie and endless plastic surgery (and how the heck does she fund it?).
